I believe that healing is not a solitary act; it is deeply influenced by the world around us. As a WICS (Webster Institute for Clinical Scholarship) alum, I specialize in the Ecological Model of Counseling, looking at the "whole system" of your life, from your relationships and social environment to your sleep, nutrition, and nervous system health. Rooted in Polyvagal Theory and Somatic Experiencing, my approach goes beyond talk therapy to understand how your nervous system adapted to survive. By integrating Affect Phobia therapy, we'll explore the "fear of feeling" that keeps you stuck. Together, we’ll resolve maladaptive patterns and build the adaptive skills you need to move forward with confidence. I believe that all people are capable of change and have the ability within themselves to resolve their own problems, sometimes we just need a bit of assistance to unlock that potential. If you are looking for a holistic, strengths-based partner in your mental health journey, I am here to walk that path with you.

We all experience challenges in life and asking for help often times isn’t easy. I am passionate about helping people feel better and less impacted from their struggles. I meet people where they are at and work to help you in a realistic and approachable manner. Over the course of my career I have been blessed to find myself working with many college students, young adults, and adults who are struggling with anxiety disorders and OCD along with life challenges. I always make sure to focus on an individual’s internal strengths to help empower them in their life. I specialize in the application of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) providing evidence based treatment that will help you develop tools to cope. I make sure to collaborate with my patients on what goals are important for them to reach through our time together. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults who are struggling with anxiety disorders and obsessive compulsive disorder. I also have worked with co-occurring depression and ADHD. I have received advanced training from Postpartum Support International on Perinatal Mental Health regarding anxiety, OCD, and depression. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and received my Master’s in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis. My prior experience includes working as a Pediatric social worker at St. Louis Children’s hospital with the cystic fibrosis population providing support to patients and their families on an inpatient and outpatient basis. I have also worked with substance abuse patients providing therapy in individual and group settings at an inpatient treatment program.

Working with me, you can expect a therapist that provides empathy and understanding of your experience and perspective while using structured interventions to help you feel better. I follow a model of therapy called TEAM-CBT pioneered by David Burns, MD. My approach to therapy includes self-help assignments for you to practice between sessions to help you resolve the problems you face now and leave you with tools you can use to address future challenges. I also incorporate elements of mindfulness practice, motivational interviewing and positive psychology in my work with clients. I work with adults (18+) and assist with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, work-related stress, substance use and more.

I am a licensed professional counselor with 17 years of experience. Way back then, I believe I was born curious. At any given time, I find myself pondering the 'why' of something. This curiosity led me to want to understand why people do the things they do and why they think the things they think. It guided me to a career I love: being a therapist. In the profession I've chosen, my specialties are couples and trauma. I also employ a compassionate yet evidence-based approach to help you achieve the goals that matter most to you. My clients say I am easy to talk to, and my sense of humor makes therapy a little easier during the 'hard' moments. I understand that the problems you bring to me are significant to you, and I will treat them with the importance they deserve. I honor that you are ready to explore what healing might feel like. We will go at your pace because what matters to you matters to me.

College can be a lot - anxiety, pressure to perform, shifting friendships, family expectations, body image stress, and the feeling that you’re supposed to have it all figured out. At RootED Pathways Therapy, I provide a supportive, structured space where you can slow down, sort through what’s going on, and build skills that actually help in real life. I work with college students who are struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, body image concerns, disordered eating/eating disorders, low self-worth, and life transitions. Together, we can quiet the mental noise, improve your relationship with food and your body, strengthen boundaries, and feel more confident navigating school, relationships, and the transition into adulthood. My style is warm and collaborative, with practical tools and a focus on helping you feel grounded and more like yourself. If you’re ready to feel steadier - emotionally, mentally, and physically - I’d be glad to support you.

I endeavor to create a context of genuine connection and understanding, where we can explore your unique experience and work towards a more fulfilled life. Together, we can examine your values, beliefs, and patterns, and find ways to align them with your deepest desires. My approach is collaborative, empathetic, and rooted in a belief in your innate resilience and potential. I hope to help you develop greater acceptance of yourself and find meaning in your position in life. My approach blends humanistic values with evidence-based approaches, including EMDR when appropriate. Sometimes this means excavating traumas, to help make it possible to work with and to integrate into a whole narrative conducive to your own goals. Together, we'll flesh out your story and work to transform sadness or pain into peace and purpose.

I am seeking clients who may be new to therapy done virtually, but want to give it a try. I understand how difficult it can be to take the first step to starting therapy. I am here to take the stigma away and help you to feel comfortable, safe and secure as you navigate through your life struggles through talk therapy. Telehealth provides the option for you to be in the safety and comfort of your own private space. No time wasted for traveling and scheduling is easy. I offer a holistic approach with foundations in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), EMDR and mindfulness practices. I enjoy working with adults with a wide range of problems such as stress, anxiety, depression, chronic illness/pain, family dysfunctions, low self-esteem, life transitions, racial identity, poor social and coping skills, issues related to acculturation and assimilation, blending of cultures, and past trauma. Telehealth takes the awkwardness of in-person therapy away and it has been very effective for the majority of my clients. I offer flexible scheduling and can work around your schedule. Call or email me for a free consultation. I’m accepting all clients residing in Missouri. Let’s take the first step to healing together!

I am a board-certified psychiatrist and Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. For me, being a physician is more than a profession—it is a vocation to help indviduals flourish. My practice is devoted to students and young adults seeking thoughtful, individualized psychiatric care that extends beyond symptom relief. I provide comprehensive evaluations that consider medical, nutritional, lifestyle, and psychological factors—including laboratory testing when clinically appropriate—to identify the contributors to emotional and cognitive health. I also specialize in evidence-based de-prescribing for patients who wish to reduce or discontinue psychiatric medications for anxiety, attention difficulties, or substance use disorders. My approach is guided by precision, humility, and restraint: using the least intensive intervention necessary while drawing upon the full breadth of evidence-based medicine. Depending on each patient's needs and goals, I integrate psychotherapy, nutrition, lifestyle medicine, exercise, targeted supplementation, and, when appropriate, carefully selected medications into a personalized treatment plan. In addition to my clinical work, I have presented internationally on psychiatric deprescribing and medical ethics. My work has been recognized with awards from the American Psychiatric Association, the International Association for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professions, the American Psychoanalytic Association, and other leading professional organizations. I am the Founder & Medical Director of Verigrate Health. I am licensed to serve patients in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Lousiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, Washington, D.C., and Wisconsin.

Healing and growth takes place in the context of relationships - in our relationship with ourselves, and in our relationships with others. Unfortunately, our relationships can sometimes become distant, disconnected and a place of conflict, leaving us with unmet needs and just feeling “stuck.” We don’t feel safe asking for what we need, and maybe don’t even know what we need ourselves. The therapeutic relationship in counseling provides an authentic and safe place in which healing can begin to take place. My goal is to provide you with a space where you feel seen and heard; where you feel safe to explore your story and your experiences; a space where you can work through some of the hard things in a way that moves you towards a deeper sense of wholeness and connection. If you'd like to find out if this is a good place for you to address some of these things for yourself, reach out and we can schedule a free 15-minute consultation to see if it would be a good fit!

I work best with students who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure about what comes next. You might be dealing with constant stress or anxiety, overthinking decisions, or feeling unsure about your direction in school, relationships, or life. I also support students who are navigating relationship challenges, struggling to communicate their needs, or finding themselves caught in patterns like people-pleasing or self-doubt. If you’re someone who wants more clarity, confidence, and a better understanding of yourself, we’ll likely be a good fit. In our work together, I focus on helping you sort through what’s going on, make sense of your thoughts and emotions, and move toward decisions that feel right for you. My approach is practical, supportive, and goal-oriented—so you can start feeling more grounded and confident in your day-to-day life.

You’re exhausted from navigating a world that wasn’t built for you. Maybe you're burnt out from capitalism, furious at the state of politics, or questioning everything you were taught about success, relationships, or identity. You’ve spent years people-pleasing, shrinking yourself, or trying to fit into spaces that don’t feel right. You want clarity, relief, and a life that actually feels like yours—one where you’re not just surviving, but living in alignment with your values. You don’t need to be “fixed.” You need a space to unlearn, heal, and reclaim your power. I blend feminist therapy, ACT, and empowerment-based approaches to help you reclaim your voice and rewrite old narratives. We’ll work together to unpack internalized expectations, build self-trust, and find ways to exist in this world without losing yourself. Therapy with me isn’t about “fixing” you—it’s about helping you feel more like you. If you’ve ever felt like you’re too much—or not enough—I see you. You deserve a space where you don’t have to explain your existence, where your rage, grief, and hope are all welcome. Healing isn’t about “getting over it”—it’s about finding ways to live fully, even in a messy world. If this resonates, let’s talk.
