Hello, I’m Lauren—an affirming, person-centered, and approachable therapist. My work is grounded in curiosity, warmth, and authenticity, creating a brave, safe, and affirming space for you to show up fully as yourself. In our work together, you’ll not only have a place to be heard, but also an advocate who is genuinely invested in your growth and well-being. I am deeply committed to trauma-informed care and LGBTQ+ wellness, and I work with children (10+), teens, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, self-harm, ADHD, stress, and life transitions, helping clients feel understood, supported, and empowered toward meaningful and lasting change. My integrative, whole-person approach draws mainly from Internal Family Systems principles, Acceptance and Commitment framework, and Narrative Therapy. I love to incorporate play therapy with my kids & teens! Together, we will explore all parts of you with curiosity and without judgment, reduce stress, strengthen self-empowerment, increase emotional regulation, and cultivate a deeper sense of grounding. I believe that we must receive others with grace and courage; I will meet you where you are through a nonjudgmental, compassionate atmosphere. I am grateful to be on this winding journey together as we navigate the ebbs and flows of life.
Are you a busy professional or college or grad student dealing with personal, relationship or work-related challenges? As a licensed psychologist, I help individuals and couples like you who are facing difficult life transitions and changes, have experienced trauma or loss, or are dealing with psychiatric illnesses, such as depression and anxiety. Because I understand how hard it can be to ask for assistance, I respond to all email and voicemail messages in a timely manner to make this first step toward growth and healing easier. Please note, I tend to respond email more quickly than voicemail messages. I have been a faculty member of Johns Hopkins University and Loyola University Maryland, and have chaired the Maryland Psychological Association's Ethics Committee. I have worked in a variety of settings, including EAPs, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, outpatient mental health centers, emergency departments and not-for-profit organizations. I also provide consultative services to various companies to promote and maintain the well-being of professionals, to maximize individual and organizational performance and productivity and to remedy issues related to impaired, distressed or disruptive professionals. Hi, I’m Rebecca! I work with adolescents and adults to help navigate anxiety, depression, stress, and body image/ eating disorders. Often people will come to me because they’re feeling overwhelmed. Maybe there are perfectionistic patterns that keep getting in the way or a feeling like their brain won’t shut off from overthinking. Perhaps food has become a way to cope when feeling low, leading to cycles of guilt or restriction. They’re often looking for ways to feel better, and I’m happy to offer guidance and help. I use a mix of evidence-based practices and have a warm, strength-based approach. Therapy looks different for everyone, but often it involves gently exploring how your patterns formed, how they’re showing up today, and what it might take to shift them in a way that feels sustainable. Searching for a therapist can feel overwhelming, and taking this first step is a big deal. I’m really glad you’re here! If you’re looking for things to feel a bit lighter or more manageable, reach out and let's connect.
My clients are looking for growth and/or healing, and are motivated by pressing questions about life, specifically their own. I use a friendly, conversational approach that will help you learn more about yourself, about the dynamics of your world, and about skillful practices you can use for taking on inner and outer challenges. Weirdly enough, the process often alternates between serious/moving and lovely/fun. And isn’t that a good range for life as well? Be in touch, and let's see what we can accomplish together.
Welcome. Whether you want to improve your relationships or experience relief from depression, anxiety, or stress, our expert therapists can guide you towards personal growth. We offer individual, group, and couples therapy.
I am a licensed clinical social worker who works with clients to deepen insights into themselves and their behaviors in order to create better relationships and life outcomes. I work with patients managing a wide variety of mental health disorders and specialize in trauma and personality disorders. Finding a therapist who understands your needs and matches your personality style can be a challenge. I strive to provide a warm and supportive atmosphere for patients to process their difficulties and move forward into a more fulfilling and empowered life. With the help of my canine partner, Eir, I work to provide you with a judgment-free zone where you can feel safe and accepted. Too often I hear from patients about past therapy experiences where their experiences were dismissed, where they felt their diagnosis was stigmatized, where they were misgendered or not addressed with the name and pronouns of their choice, or where they felt judged for non-traditional relationships. I want our space to be one in which you feel like no area of life is off-limits to talk about.
I specialize in working with young adults (age 18-30) and enjoy working with college students. Whether you are looking for support with a transition to college or navigating challenging experiences, we can work together to discover your strengths and reach your goals. I utilize a trauma-informed approach and rely on the therapeutic connection to cultivate growth and resilience. I know how difficult it can be to experience vulnerability and emotion, and I am honored to create a non-judgmental space where you can develop a sense of safety to explore all aspects of yourself.
We have several clinicians with a multitude of experiences working in the mental health field. We welcome all individuals who are open to the idea of exploring themselves and their lives in depth to help them become the best versions of themselves. We specialize in the treatment of trauma/PTSD, grief/loss, addiction, ADHD, and mood disorders. Please feel free to call or text the phone number listed. Both forms of communication are confidential. We would love to start a conversation with you.
I specialize in treating eating disorders and work primarily with college and grad students. I believe full recovery is possible and am passionate about helping people discover how to live life free from eating disorders and body image issues. I work within a multidiscpilinary treatment team model and often include a registered dietitian, psychiatrist and primary care doc to coordinate care. I am located within walking distance from Loyola and near Hopkins and MICA, as well.
No one wants to feel alone in their struggles—and yet, being human with our tricky brains, that’s often exactly how we feel. My role is to help you recognize that your feelings make sense, and that you don’t have to carry them by yourself. We’ll work together to find ways to ease your pain and build lasting resilience. Using evidence-based practices, I’ll help you slow down, notice what’s really going on beneath the surface, and learn how to communicate your needs with clarity. Together, we’ll build the skills you need to trust yourself, strengthen your relationships, and show up as your authentic self.
I have worked with students since the start of my therapy training back in 2007. Since that time I have worked at four university counseling centers over the course of nearly a dozen years. I have always loved seeing students from myriad backgrounds, different family and cultural experiences, and clinical needs. A primary reason I have become a full-time private practitioner, is because I grew tired of only being able to support students on a short-term basis. Too many times I wished I could work with a student who I had to refer out for longer-term therapy. In private practice, I have the opportunity to work with students for as long as they require and help see them through a complex and difficult time in their lives.

Our ideal client is an adult (18+) navigating anxiety, OCD, depression, or trauma who is ready to better understand themselves and make meaningful, sustainable changes. They may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about how to move forward, yet remain motivated to gain a greater sense of control and alignment with their values. At PsychForward CBT, we utilize an evidence-based, empirically supported approach grounded in the scientist–practitioner model. We integrate ongoing assessment, clinical expertise, and current research to inform individualized treatment planning. Our work is collaborative, using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) as the primary framework to build insight, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, modify behaviors, and develop practical skills that promote lasting change. Our style is warm, compassionate, and goal-oriented, fostering a safe and empowering therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, respected, and supported. We specialize in empirically supported treatments for anxiety disorders, OCD, depression, and trauma. Each intervention is selected and tailored to fit the client’s unique presentation, ensuring that therapeutic strategies are grounded in research while also responsive to individual needs. Many clients begin therapy unsure of where to start; we offer a structured, supportive process to clarify what’s not working and identify clear, actionable steps toward meaningful progress. In addition to psychotherapy, we offer comprehensive psychoeducational assessments designed to evaluate cognitive, academic, and social-emotional functioning. These evaluations can help identify learning differences, attention challenges, and other factors affecting academic or daily performance. Assessment results provide a clear understanding of strengths and areas of growth, along with tailored, evidence-based recommendations and strategies to enhance functioning across educational, occupational, and personal domains.
