Are you struggling to find traction and purpose in life? Are you stuck or finding a lack of satisfaction in your relationships? I have extensive experience working with people struggling with a variety of issues and have worked with people at every stage of the their journey. I have helped many clients reclaim their "hero's journey" and find their way out of the maze of anxiety, depression and apathy they may find themselves in. I provide a safe and engaged environment to take the opportunity to explore whatever you feel needs attention in your life. The most important thing I provide is a client-centered relational approach. I believe a therapeutic relationship to be one that allows for a full expression of thoughts and feelings which is necessary for a beneficial outcome. I've also worked and trained in several skills-based therapies such as CBT, DBT and ACT and work on coping skills when helpful. It's a brave step to seek out help for yourself or someone you love. I'm here to help, and I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation to see if I'm the right therapist for you.

Developing a meaningful therapeutic connection is the foundation for learning how to improve one's quality of life, develop healthy and fulfilling relationships, and cope more effectively with life stressors. Through the therapeutic relationship, we will work together to identify underlying patterns of behaving, relating, and experiencing that may be contributing to conflict in your life. I utilize an integrative approach that incorporates aspects of Relational Psychodynamic Theory, Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness. These approaches help clients deepen their understanding of how their mind, body, and relationships can be utilized to alleviate emotional distress and create long-lasting changes. I bring a curious and open-minded attitude toward our work together with plenty of room for warmth, humor, compassion, and assertiveness. I welcome honest feedback regarding your experience in therapy to ensure that all of your needs are being met.

Our team has been working in the counseling field treating clients struggling with eating disorders since 2012. Our team received clinical training at treatment centers in the Baltimore area in the residential, inpatient, partial and intensive outpatient units and have continued working in such settings in addition to their outpatient work. The experiences there and afterwards have provided us with the knowledge and skills to provide the best care possible for those dealing with an eating disorder and looking for recovery. We use an integrative approach in therapy, working to tailor CBT, DBT, and Mindfulness skills into the best possible treatment for each client. We all struggle at different points throughout our lives, and many times it can be helpful to have an outsider to discuss our struggles with. We strive to make therapy a safe, non-judgemental space for everyone to explore and grow.

I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, stress, sleep issues, postpartum issues, relationship issues and parenting issues. I am passionate about improving maternal mental health, especially for those parenting young children. I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused therapy, but strive to find the right treatment for each client as an individual. I am Phase 1 Brainspotting Trained and licensed in Maryland and Pennsylvania. I love working with moms. The transition to motherhood is so rewarding, yet so challenging. It can be lonely & anxiety-provoking. Finding the right work/life balance as a mom can be particularly difficult. As our kids grow, navigating new stages of parenting can bring up lots of emotions (for us and for our kids)! Together, we can work through these phases and help you feel competent & comfortable in your role as a mom! I have a B.A. in Psychology from Loyola University in Maryland and an M.S.W in Clinical Social Work from University of Maryland School of Social Work. I have worked as a licensed clinician for over 14 years and I love what I do.

Many folks come to me with various pesky symptoms that have manifested & are being expressed in damaging ways. Some of those symptoms include & are not limited to overactivated nervous systems, self-deprecation, interpersonal/relational challenges, overwhelm, emotional dysregulation, & impulsivity. Our work together will include digging underneath the accumulated soil & sediment to recognize the roots of adverse experiences we may have had as children & adolescents. Learning how certain experiences/memories can effect our current & future functioning & how to release & reset to develop into the best version of ourselves more of the time can be some fun stuff!
