Hi! I’m Dr. Rey Junco. If you’re a college student feeling the weight of high expectations, academic burnout, or the lingering sting of past experiences, I want you to know that you don’t have to carry it all alone. As someone who spent most of my life in academia—holding faculty positions at places like Harvard and Oxford and working in college counseling centers for 13 years—I truly "get" the unique pressure of being a high achiever. I know what it’s like to look successful on the outside while struggling with self-doubt, anxiety, or the feeling that you aren’t making "real" progress. My approach is built for students who are tired of just talking about their problems and want to actually feel better. I specialize in evidence-based, results-oriented techniques like EMDR and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). These aren’t your typical "sit and talk for years" methods; they are designed to help you process trauma and anxiety more deeply and efficiently so you can regain your confidence and focus on your future. I also have a deep background in researching how technology and social media impact our mental health. Whether you’re struggling with "tech fatigue," insomnia (I’m certified in CBT-I), or the complexities of modern relationships, I provide a non-judgmental, warm space tailored to your specific goals. As a survivor of childhood trauma myself, I’m not just a doctor with a degree; I’m someone who understands the frustration of trying to get better and not knowing where to start. If you’re ready to break the cycle of feeling stuck and want to rediscover your sense of joy and self, I’m here to help. Let’s work together to get you back to living the life you deserve.

Welcome! I work with teens and adults in my West Concord office and via telehealth, including many high school students and young adults navigating major life transitions. I specialize in supporting members of the LGBTQ community, as well as parents and caregivers of children and adolescents. As a queer person and a parent, I bring lived experience that helps me connect with people across multiple communities and intersecting identities. Feelings are human, yet many of us learn to push them away. When we’ve been through difficult or traumatic experiences, we often develop protective parts of ourselves that guard us from vulnerable emotions and memories. In therapy, we can explore where troubling feelings or patterns originate and develop more compassionate ways to care for ourselves. My style is direct and open. I bring compassion, humor, genuine curiosity, and a sense of shared humanity to the therapeutic relationship. If you think I might be a good fit for you, please reach out to schedule a phone consultation. I look forward to connecting with you.

I believe that everyone has the strength and resilience already in themselves to overcome challenges, navigate difficult circumstances, and have meaningful connections with others. My approach to therapy is strength-based, holistic, and largely focuses on using mindfulness-based techniques and practices. In the last 14 years I have had the privilege to work with a wide variety of students from diverse backgrounds, cultures, identities, and lived experiences. I've had the privilege to work with first generation college students, international students, adult learners pursuing a second career, and younger students adjusting to independent life and college for the first time. In the past 4 years I have specialized in in working with college and graduate students pursuing advanced degrees in the health sciences field. I understand how challenging it can be to navigate these stressful times and how difficult it can be to find a balance between taking care of yourself and reaching your academic potential. It can get better and I'd like to help.

Managing OCD, anxiety, and/or depression on top of the demands of work, school, social responsibilities, family responsibilities, or even leisure time is exhausting. It takes so much time and energy to deal with anxiety and takes you away from the things you care about. You deserve to feel better and do more than just try to get through your day. I strive to create a safe and comfortable environment and work collaboratively with you in an empathic manner using evidence-based treatment, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (or exposure and response prevention for OCD). Finding a therapist who fits what you are looking for can be a challenging experience. I admire your bravery in taking this first step. If you have questions about my practice, background, or approach we can set up a call to discuss if it would be a good fit.

I create warm, accepting, and collaborative relationships that anchor and support people as they problem-solve, deepen their understanding of their own needs, set goals, and move towards the changes they want in their lives. Trained as a psychologist and psychoanalyst, I emphasize the way that relationships shape us. I work with adults-- including undergraduate and graduate students- who are struggling with change or loss related to life transitions, relational issues, aloneness, anxiety, trauma, achievement issues, and grief. I'm an active listener, who is described by my patients as warm, flexible, and collaborative. I see people in my office, located in Concord center or via telehealth.

I’m Whitney, and I help individuals and couples understand how the past may be influencing their present, and how to build the value-driven, fulfilling life they deserve. Many people who have experienced trauma feel as if they simply cannot be helped. Perhaps you’ve tried traditional talk therapy and felt that it didn’t quite move the needle—because trauma lives in the body, not just the mind. While talk therapy can be valuable, it may only skim the surface, leaving you feeling isolated or hopeless. By integrating EMDR, IFS, and somatic-focused approaches, I help clients develop greater awareness of the root causes of their pain while providing practical tools for lasting change. As an LGBTQIA+ clinician who has personally experienced and healed from multiple forms of trauma, I’ve dedicated my career to creating a space for discovery, compassion, and transformation. I know what it feels like to feel broken or alone—to believe your past determines your future. When you work with me, you won’t get a clinician who simply nods and validates—you’ll work with someone who’s lived it, who gets it, and who will collaborate with you to find enduring peace and clarity.

I have experience working with teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, OCD, major life transitions, and burnout among other areas. I offer a calm, warm, and non-judgmental presence to those I work with. I tend to think creatively and enjoy deepening a sense of understanding by using art therapy or expressive therapies when appropriate. I enjoy helping others face their fears, learn new skills to tackle negative thoughts, and better understand how to process their emotions. I also have experience working with those navigating spiritual issues within the Christian faith. I offer compassion, understanding, and empathy as I work alongside those experiencing stressful life events, difficult emotions, or mental health struggles. I often use CBT and ERP for anxiety, depression, and OCD. However, I cater my treatment to each individual to best meet their needs. I use creativity and art therapy alongside traditional talk therapy. I invite you to reach out to see if we could be a good fit. I would be honored to guide you towards growth and witness your entrance into a new chapter of healing.

When searching for a therapist, the process can be confusing and frustrating. Finding the right person may be challenging, but it will be worth the effort to find someone you are comfortable with. Ideally therapy will allow you to tell your story and get to the heart of the problems you have been facing. You will be able to build on the knowledge and strengths you already have and ultimately gain the perspective to move through your challenges. What I enjoy most about this work is helping my clients find a greater degree of freedom and balance in their lives, assisting them to step away from old patterns, become more flexible, and feel more alive. In over 25 years working as a psychologist, I have experience addressing a wide range of difficult issues with adults, pre-teens, adolescents, and college students. Additionally, I provide consultation to parents looking for help for their child.
