I help people live the lives they choose to live, on purpose. We all face roadblocks and detours as we pursue our life goals and dreams. I work with teens and adults who wrestle with depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions. We work together to expand your strategies and resilience. I also work with individuals who have other types of impairments towards their goals and dreams. Examples of other impairments include Autism Spectrum Disorders, paraplegia, brain injury, and cancer. I have always been driven to listen, to understand and to help others. I know for many people, myself included, asking for help can be a scary and vulnerable thing to do. However, I believe seeking help demonstrates bravery. Vulnerability does not make us weak; in fact, it makes us strong and courageous. I believe everyone has their own story, path, and struggle; it is my desire to meet you where you are at and help you grow into the person you would be proud to be. It is common for us to accept things as they are because putting in the work to change can be very difficult. However, it is my desire to walk with you through this season of growth and help you find coping skills and support systems that will guide you into a healthier state. By getting to know you, and using therapeutic approaches and techniques, I believe we can increase your self-awareness, strengthen current relationships, increase healthier thinking and behavioral patterns, and so much more. In my time away from the office, I am typically with family or friends. I also enjoy exercising and going to the gym, I love going for long drives and listening to music, and I have a great appreciation for art and other cultures.

The students I work best with often share a few things in common. Many of them are trying to balance a lot at once—school, work, family responsibilities, and their own emotional well-being. They’re often the ones who look like they “have it together,” but inside they may feel overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure of how to manage everything happening in their lives. Some students come to me because they’re dealing with grief, stress, or big life changes. Others feel disconnected, angry, or stuck. Many have trouble setting boundaries, caring for themselves, or asking for help. What they all share is a desire to feel better, understand themselves more deeply, and get support from someone who truly listens without judgment. I connect especially well with students who want a safe space to talk openly—whether they’re navigating relationships, adjusting to college life, managing pressure, or healing from past experiences. I help them break things down into manageable steps, build confidence, and develop healthier ways of coping.

If you struggle with anxiety, depression, or feel like your own thoughts are fighting against you all the time, talking with a professional can help. Problem is, too many professionals can forget how to talk like an actual human and listen like an actual counselor. I make it my goal to bridge the gap between professional expertise and unprofessional real talk to help you figure out how to deal with whatever is holding you back without making you feel like just another paycheck or a guinea pig in my practice. I promise to listen and help you grow the skills and strengths to push through the pains and baggage we all pick up to get back to a full, healthy life.

I specialize in working with clients struggling with grief, anxiety, OCD, depression, life transitions, body image, and disordered eating. I have a special interest in working with those suffering after the loss of a loved one or feeling overwhelmed by the pressures of caregiver responsibilities. My clients often express feeling disconnected from themselves and in their relationships. They have thoughts like, "no one will understand" or "what if's" followed by fears of being judged, seen as a burden, or receiving unwanted advice. You're unsure of who to trust, but recognize holding onto these experiences, feelings, and thoughts alone is only becoming more painful, isolating, and heavier. If any of this sounds familiar, you've come to the right place and you're not alone. My commitment as a clinician is to create a non-judgmental, respectful environment where clients feel welcome and safe to embrace their authentic self and bravely share their stories. Like any other relationship, trust is important and takes time. Therefore, I strive to meet my clients where they are presently, joining them at their own pace in their journey to self-improvement and personal growth. I view my work humanistically, through a compassionate and integrative lens, appreciating my clients' individuality, and believing that each person is the expert in their own life. Oftentimes, clients already have the answers within, and through our collaboration, I can help you in discovering what has been there all along. I hope, in working together, you will gain the insight and tools needed to address life's obstacles and reclaim your well-being.

At Simply Nutrition, we are as passionate about client-centered care as we are about food, nutrition, and health. Through the process of honoring the body’s intuitive cues, fear and guilt are minimized, reducing food’s power. We embrace the journey to wellness and encourage clients to do the same. Simply Nutrition is a firm believer in the non-diet approach and coaches clients to break barriers by navigating food and nutrition myths, reconnect with natural hunger and fullness cues, and ultimately embrace intuitive eating while promoting balance, variety, flexibility, as well as personal responsibility for food choices. When appropriate, our nutritionists enjoy working closely with other health professionals in a team approach. Simply Nutrition always strives to meet clients where they are in the change process while providing a nonjudgmental and inviting environment. I recognize that past choices often dictate current states of being and believe it is possible to find peace co-existing rather than wrestling with this. I see therapy not as a place to “fix” something, but an ongoing process of becoming. Your voice matters, your feelings are welcome, and your wholeness is at the center of what we do together.

Hello, I have specialized in providing therapy to young adults in the university setting for 12 years. I believe that with a healthy perspective, life’s most difficult challenges, painful emotions, and even our imperfections can shape us towards becoming our best selves. I have a supportive and collaborative approach to therapy. I believe that once you realize your own strengths, and you are ready for positive change, anything is possible. My theoretical framework is integrative, but I often work from a cognitive-behavioral, psycho-dynamic, and strengths-based approach with special emphasis on mindfulness practices.

Now accepting new clients in April 2025. I first received mental health counseling during my time at college. I was struggling with my own mental health issues, was referred to counseling by a mentor, and ended up having a life-changing experience that led me to pursue becoming a counselor myself. I believe college is a pivotal time, and a unique opportunity to unpack emotional baggage that may be holding you back. Are you stuck in anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, depression, addiction, or other issues? If so, please reach out. I would love to chat and see if we’d be a good fit.
