Dr. Cynthia McFadden LISW-CP
The students I work best with often share a few things in common.
Many of them are trying to balance a lot at once—school, work, family responsibilities, and their own emotional well-being. They’re often the ones who look like they “have it together,” but inside they may feel overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure of how to manage everything happening in their lives.
Some students come to me because they’re dealing with grief, stress, or big life changes. Others feel disconnected, angry, or stuck. Many have trouble setting boundaries, caring for themselves, or asking for help. What they all share is a desire to feel better, understand themselves more deeply, and get support from someone who truly listens without judgment.
I connect especially well with students who want a safe space to talk openly—whether they’re navigating relationships, adjusting to college life, managing pressure, or healing from past experiences. I help them break things down into manageable steps, build confidence, and develop healthier ways of coping.
