Healing is unique. The challenges and hurdles that one person might be facing can be different from another. Therefore, the journey of healing must be uniquely altered to fit and support each individual. Traditional evidence-based practices are utilized with the option of incorporating additional spiritual supports. With this formula, an improved quality of life is experienced. As a healer, my life's calling is to walk with you and shed light onto your own unique pathway towards the life that you desire. My hope is through sharing with you the tools I have picked up along my own journey, you will find your own toolbox filling with valuable aids. I specialize in incorporating spiritual aspects: Reiki, Past Life Therapy, Shamanism. If you feel that you may benefit from working with me, or would benefit from the approach I take towards healing, I encourage you to reach out. I would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
Hi, I’m Reeti Kumar, and yes, therapy really can make life feel lighter. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor providing virtual therapy in Rhode Island, New York, and Connecticut. I help people get back to living the kind of life they actually want — not just the one they’re pushing through. I love working with college & grad students who are motivated to make changes but maybe feel stuck, overwhelmed, or caught in a loop of overthinking (hi, anxiety and perfectionism). In our sessions, you’ll find a mix of evidence-based techniques including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, (because science works!) and down-to-earth conversations (because we’re both human). I also treat OCD with Exposure and Response Prevention - the gold standard to help you say "No way" to those compulsions making you late to class! I bring in a multicultural lens, helping clients explore their identities, navigate family dynamics, and find balance between culture and expectations. I offer a warm, judgment-free space where you can say what’s really on your mind (yes, even the “weird” thoughts — we all have them). Together, we’ll work on untangling unhelpful thinking patterns and building habits that support a calmer, healthier life.

Many students I work with are navigating big changes, whether it’s adjusting to college life, managing anxiety or OCD, or trying to find balance in relationships and daily routines. You might feel stuck in cycles of overthinking, self-doubt, or worry about not having things “figured out.” In our work together, we’ll create a supportive space to better understand your story, identify what’s been keeping you stuck, and build tools that bring more clarity, confidence, and calm to your daily life. Starting therapy can feel intimidating, and that’s okay. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation so you can ask questions, share what you’re looking for, and get a sense of whether we’d be a good fit. When you’re ready, I’d be happy to connect and explore how I can best support you.
I intend to help clients address their attachment and developmental trauma, often at the root of anxiety, depression, and other challenges, using NARM (NeuroAffective Relational Model). Its heartfelt approach utilizes the shared human experience to support the client’s development and growth. . Within the modality’s framework, I create a collaborative environment where clients can reconnect to their heart’s desire as we address internal obstacles. In our exploration, the client finds healthier ways of relating to their self and environment.
College students and young adults are my favorite population of people to work with. I enjoy supporting students through these years as they balance academics, relationships, self discovery and adulthood. I specialize in treating Borderline Personality Disorder and other mood regulation concerns.
