I provide therapy that’s rooted in cultural humility. I believe trust grows when we honor the full spectrum of your identity—race, gender, work environments, religious affiliation, family, and beyond. I’m interested in the “why” behind things. Many of our thoughts, feelings, and reactions make sense when we look at earlier experiences or relationships. In therapy, we gently explore those patterns—how they show up now, and whether they’re helping or holding you back. I work in partnership with you. We’ll determine your course of treatment together. I believe the most lasting change happens when your voice is central to the process.

I have worked with college and graduate students for many years. Many have struggled with issues including low self esteem, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, learning disabilities, family conflict and socialization difficulties. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques ranging from traditional “talk” therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, hypnotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and EMDR, as needed. My primary goal is always to help the student to feel better, by gaining greater insight and understanding as to better ways to address their situation.

The beauty of therapy is its ability to provide a safe space, unbiased, listening ears, and dedicated time to focus on you. I believe the therapeutic relationship is central. It creates the foundation necessary to promote mental and emotional growth and well-being. Therefore, each session we will work to build an alliance, which will become instrumental for making progress and attaining your identified goals. Using an integrative approach will allow me to tailor our time together to best meet your needs. I will highlight your strengths and provide you with the tools necessary to strengthen the areas you wish to improve. In addition to others, I have a special interest in working with those invested in holistic health, more specifically a mind/body connection. I am here to support, guide, and encourage you throughout this journey, as you take control. Reaching out takes courage; it is the first step in the direction of growth and positive changes. I look forward to creating a space where listening is focal, empathy is provided, improvements are acknowledged, goals are accomplished, and individuality is celebrated. Come as you are!

I intend to help clients address their attachment and developmental trauma, often at the root of anxiety, depression, and other challenges, using NARM (NeuroAffective Relational Model). Its heartfelt approach utilizes the shared human experience to support the client’s development and growth. . Within the modality’s framework, I create a collaborative environment where clients can reconnect to their heart’s desire as we address internal obstacles. In our exploration, the client finds healthier ways of relating to their self and environment.

People often come to a therapist because they want to talk about being anxious, being lonely, feeling depressed, having difficulty in relationships, or having a hard time taking care of themselves and others. I aim to help people to reduce symptoms (e.g., anxiety) and, more generally, to engage in personal growth and to foster a more connected, meaningful life. I will work with you to help you cope more effectively with life stressors; in doing so, I focus on your values, strengths, and potential. I have specialized training in working with individuals with chronic illness and/or eating and weight-related problems, including adolescents, college students, and adults. I completed my clinical training at Yale University and at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. I am currently a Lecturer at Princeton University and the Supervising Psychologist at the Princeton Center for Eating Disorders. Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have all been challenged in our relationships, our work, our empathy, and our resilience. I aim to help others navigate associated feelings of loneliness, worry, anger, and sadness, and I work to help people adapt to changing and uncertain times. My practice is telehealth-only; I am able to see patients in RI, CT, NY, FL, and NJ.

Life has many challenges. It's how you grow from your past that defines who you are in life. You may feel alone, misunderstood, and unfulfilled with your life or personal relationships. Perhaps you're having intense negative emotions. People typically enter therapy when they are in distress, although it's usually the long-term and underlying struggles that concern them the most. Initially, we will work quickly to address your immediate pain and provide relief. As therapy progresses, our focus may shift so you develop more positive and enriching relationships with yourself and others. My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe and compassionate environment where you can recognize your potential and live a meaningful life. I use evidenced-based therapy that focuses on the dynamics that impact your daily experience. We look for the behaviors, attitudes, and patterns that protected you in the past but no longer serve a purpose.

I am a Ukrainian-born therapist-in-training with a lifelong passion for psychology. Though my journey into mental health wasn’t straightforward, it’s deeply personal. For years, I pursued a career in finance, believing it was the path to success and fulfillment. I thought I was living a happy life, but societal pressure had pushed me into a mold that didn’t feel authentic. The stress and constant pressure finally culminated in my first panic attack, followed by a severe episode of OCD that left me utterly defeated. Through years of therapy, healing, and self-discovery, I emerged stronger, with a profound appreciation for life and a renewed sense of purpose. Leaving my finance career behind, I stepped into the field of mental health to help others navigate their own “dark nights of the soul.” I aim to empower individuals to become their happiest, healthiest selves, unlocking their potential for growth and transformation on every level. In my work, I use evidence-based approaches tailored to meet each client’s unique needs. My favorite interventions include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), where we explore and challenge unhealthy beliefs and thought patterns that hold you back. I also take a trauma-informed approach, understanding that past experiences shape our behaviors and thoughts, often on a subconscious level. To treat anxiety and OCD, I employ Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT), which help rewire the brain's response to fear and intrusive thoughts. These tools are backed by science and offer lasting change by utilizing the brain’s neuroplasticity—what fires together, wires together, as the neuropsychologist Donald Hebb famously said. And if you’re a Harry Potter fan like me, you might appreciate this: I often think of mental health struggles as Dementors, sucking away joy and energy, leaving us feeling powerless. But just as in the Wizarding World, there’s a way to protect yourself—the Patronus Charm! In therapy, evidence-based interventions, the therapeutic alliance, and empathy work like your Patronus, empowering you to fight back against the challenges that feel all-consuming. Together, we can work to summon your happiness and create a safe, fulfilling future.

I specialize in working with individuals who struggle with fear of abandonment, feelings of instability in relationships, and those experiencing intense emotional turbulence. Whether you feel overwhelmed by the intensity of your emotions or find yourself caught in unhealthy relationship patterns, my approach is grounded in empathy, support, and understanding. I help clients navigate these challenges by creating a safe, non-judgmental space where we can explore the roots of your concerns and develop healthier coping strategies. With a background shaped by working around the world, I bring a unique global perspective to my work. Many of my clients come to me feeling alone, misunderstood, or as though their emotional experiences are difficult to express or process. If this resonates with you, know that you're not alone. Together, we can explore these feelings, understand their deeper causes, and work toward emotional clarity and healing.

I work with people who long to feel more at home with themselves and in their lives. My clients are curious, self-reflective and have experienced things that leave them feeling hurt, fearful and alone. During sessions we may encounter powerful gates of self-discovery like grief, anger, and shame. Together we get to know these parts of you, approach them with kindness, release painful stories and make meaning. Clients leave sessions feeling closer to themselves, able to move through their lives with clarity and presence. My approach weaves multiple therapeutic approaches within and beyond traditional psychotherapy. I’m trained in IFS and EMDR, and incorporate mindfulness and somatic practices into sessions. I offer reiki, a form of energy healing, to support regulation and rest. I'm also a student of tarot and astrology, and can include these perspectives in the work. I welcome all parts of you to this work. To learn more about me and to see if we are a good match for doing this work together, email me to schedule a free 15 minute consultation call.

I'm a clinical psychologist and a trained psychoanalyst. I believe that what promotes growth and mental health is the process of putting real but hard to see aspects of your experience into words. This decreases their power and brings them more to heel for you. This is different from challenging thoughts or skill building. You as the patient should have clear evidence in therapy that you're coming to understand yourself better and more fully. Old, stuck ways of thinking should slowly give way to the ability to think more effectively about what is and what can be. Your sense of 'you' should grow wider and more secure, and your ability live and act with purpose of your choosing should slowly build.
