Hello! I’m so excited to get to know you and am proud of you for seeking out care. As an experienced Limited Licensed Psychologist (LLP), I understand the therapy process and can’t wait to walk through this alongside you. I believe the role of a therapist is that of a partner and advocate, to help you achieve your goals, health, gratitude, and joy. I have a huge passion for working with adolescents and young adults, and have experience navigating my clients through life transitions, developing healthy behaviors and relationships, and gaining confidence in themselves. I am highly experienced working with trauma, anxiety, depression, neurodivergency, and family issues. I graduated with my Masters degree in psychology from Western Michigan University and have been working as a clinical psychologist for seven years. I am trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), positive psychology, and mindfulness. I also have experience working in bariatric care and enjoy guiding my clients through developing healthy routines. I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to get to know you!

Hi, I'm so glad you decided to ask for help! You probably experience lots of stress, between work and school, and other life commitments. You may even be questioning personal things about yourself, now that you're out on your own - what kind of person you are, what kind of body image you have or want to have, sexuality and gender concerns, making friends, or managing home/school/life balance. I would love to help you become more of who you want to be, and live a happier, more carefree lifestyle.

Do you ever feel like you keep landing in the same relationship pattern, even with different people? Or maybe something feels off in a way you can't quite name yet. That's usually where we start. I work with individuals and couples, especially people who've felt unheard or misunderstood in past therapy, or in life generally, including those in helping professions, therapists, nurses, teachers, pastors, who are so used to holding everyone else that they've forgotten someone can hold them too. A lot of what we'll work on comes back to self-worth, the root of most of what people bring into my office, whether it shows up as relationship drama, burnout, or a quiet sense of "something's wrong with me." I use CBT and DBT, not in a worksheet-y way, more like practical tools for when things get hard. You don't need to have it all figured out here, just show up as you are. I'm bilingual (¡hablo español!) and licensed in Michigan and Virginia, seeing clients in person and virtually. If this sounds like you, I'd love to hear your story.

When life goes differently than anticipated you may be left grieving, feeling disconnected from life, or from yourself. You deserve to have a compassionate space to process and honor your experiences. Together, we'll explore the narratives woven through your life, understanding how past experiences continue to shape your present reality. We will reconnect you to your power, build resiliency, and learn to use your voice to live your life more authentically. With a relationship built with trust and compassion, you're invited to explore your deepest truths, express your fears, and bravely write a new story for your life. Therapy is a collaborative journey, and your voice, experiences, and perspective are central to our work together. Depending on your needs, we'll examine how family, gender, culture, and social expectations have influenced your sense of self, relationships, and aspirations. I draw from a variety of frameworks including Feminist, Narrative, and Family Systems. Reaching out is hard. If it scares you, you're not alone. You may try considering if your fear is saying "now's not the right time" or if its something more akin to "what will this change in my life". Curiosity, excitement, & the adrenaline of taking "the next step" can feel scary. Whatever you decide, trust you're right on time in your own journey.

“Our wounds are often the openings into the best and most beautiful parts of us.” – David Richo Everyone experiences unique challenges throughout life. My therapeutic approach is to create a relaxed, safe environment where you feel comfortable sharing your challenges and stressors. I value the importance of developing a strong therapeutic connection, as it is essential for growth. I utilize strengths-based and motivational interviewing approaches. Prior to working in private practice, I have over 7 years experience working with Veterans and their families. This has provided me with opportunities to work with individuals who struggle with PTSD, depression, and anxiety. I facilitated stress realization and single parent groups where I introduced individuals to stress relaxation techniques and discussed feelings surrounding shame, guilt, and vulnerability.

Beginning your therapy journey is a powerful act of self-love and courage. It is an impactful moment to acknowledge that you’re ready to live in alignment with your most authentic self. I’m here to offer a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore, heal, and grow—where your voice is heard, your story matters, and your truth is honored. My therapeutic style is person-centered and collaborative, creating an environment where curiosity, self-compassion, humor, and reflection are welcome. College can bring pressure, stress, and big transitions, but it can also be a time of discovery. Together, we’ll focus on curiosity over judgment and self-compassion over shame. You are the author of your story, and you already hold the knowledge that will guide you toward the life you want. It’s a privilege to walk alongside you as you navigate this chapter, embrace vulnerability, and step into your growth.

Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards. – Soren Kierkegaard Reaching out for help to deal with the struggles of life can be scary. My goal for the client’s therapeutic process is to assist and support with understanding their needs, and coping with issues of communication, life stressors, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, trauma, or other needs. I use psycho-educational strategies and mindfulness-based practices to help you reduce your stress and anxiety while resolving issues. Therapy is a partnership and you are the expert. I am here to help guide you toward your goals. I received my Master of Science in Social Work from The University of Louisville.
