At Greater Presence Counseling, we believe true healing begins when you stop rushing past the present moment. Whether you’re navigating personal hurdles, managing academic burnout, or searching for a more meaningful way forward, our goal is to help you show up fully. We integrate clinical expertise with a focus on holistic health to help you shift from feeling overwhelmed to living with intention and clarity. As a former Director of Academic Advising, I bring a deep, practical understanding of the unique pressures you face into therapy. I know how interconnected academic and career goals, and personal well-being really are. Together, we’ll work on what it looks like to cultivate greater presence in every part of your life so you can achieve your goals without losing yourself in the process.

Hello! I am a mental health therapist (LLC). I offer both in person and virtual mental health therapy appointments. I have a wide range of experiences and am a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community. I believe that counseling is a collaborative process where clients are able to explore within a safe, affirmative, and compassionate space. By centering on the client’s voice and experience, healing is supported with self-empowerment and compassion. I also recognize that there are connections between the mind and body which can allow for alternative methods of healing to be explored so the best fit can be found for each individual. My current clinical interests include concerns related to sex, sexuality, and gender identity as well as life phase adjustments and relational issues. While interested in learning many psychological techniques, I maintain a framework focused on existential theory and strengths-based practices.

“Always remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, smarter than you think, and loved more than you will ever know.” -A.A. Milne Whether you are struggling with a life transition, family or romantic relationship issue or overwhelmed with stress from work or school, I want you to know that I will do my best to hold a safe and judgment-free space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings. I will help you look deeper into yourself on your journey of positive change, personal growth, and self-improvement. Let’s work together to figure out why you are not as happy as you would like to be and work towards living up to your full potential, for yourself, and the people in your life. As your therapist, it is important to me to use a humanistic, trauma-informed, holistic approach with you. I will see you as a whole person first and not defined by any clinical diagnosis. My approach is focused on each individual’s unique strengths to best navigate working together towards accomplishing goals. Most importantly, you are incredibly strong for taking this initial step of seeking support to start taking back control of your life. I look forward to holding a respectful safe space for you to grow, heal, and start living the happier and healthier life you desire and deserve. I graduated from Kalamazoo College with a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Studio Art while being a collegiate student athlete. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Michigan with a concentration in Interpersonal Practice in Integrated Health, Mental Health, and Substance Abuse. I worked at a mental health and substance use sober living and outpatient clinic as a case manager, led female group therapy, and assisted with the yoga group therapy sessions. I then worked as a psychotherapist at a mental health private practice providing therapy to a variety of population groups and individuals of all ages before joining the amazing community of therapists at Therapy Today, Ann Arbor. My education, training, and unique life experiences have provided me the skill set to utilize a variety of evidence-based modalities including psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and other evidence-based strategies to best work with clients towards change and growth. It is important to me to use a trauma-informed holistic approach with clients by seeing each client as a whole person first and how the make up of their life experiences, environment influences, and family genealogy impact a person’s mental and physical health.

I practice from an insight oriented, relational, and multicultural approach tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual I work with. My priority as a therapist is to create a warm, collaborative, non-judgmental space where you can work through your concerns and make the changes in your life you desire. In my experience, symptoms often “mark the spot” of a deeper themes you may be grappling with and I aim to assist you uncover what the root of your concerns may be. Often therapy helps increase self-awareness, develop deeper understanding of how past experiences may be influencing the present, and provides an opportunity to learn tools to address problematic behavior(s). Having spent the majority of my training and professional life working in university counseling centers, I am passionate about working with college and graduate students. I completed my pre-doctoral internship at Pace University in New York City and my postdoctoral fellowship at University of Chicago Student Counseling Service where I gained experience working with life-transitions, relationship issues, eating disorders, and sexual trauma. Taking the first step toward therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you've been carrying the weight of anxiety, trauma, relationship struggles, identity questions, or overwhelming emotions for a long time. You don't have to navigate those challenges alone. I work with young adults who are ready to better understand themselves, break unhelpful patterns, and create lasting change. Whether you're navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, personality concerns, life transitions, or questions surrounding identity, therapy can provide both practical tools and a space to process what you've been through. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and tailored to each person. I integrate evidence-based approaches, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), while recognizing that every person's experiences and goals are unique.
