Every person is the expert in their own lives and and experiences and I see my role as supporting people to direct themselves in the path they best see fit. Sometimes things like anxiety, depression, body image issues, and interpersonal conflicts can make it difficult to really stay connected to who you are and achieve what you want to achieve. I work with a lot of college age students, young adults, and adults who are looking to find their way while managing significant stressors. I show up for my clients with curiosity, authenticity, compassion, and humor in order to help them feel empowered to make the shifts in their thinking or behavior that they want. If you want to know more, please schedule an initial consultation with me through my website!

Navigating life changes, especially when things don’t go as planned, can be overwhelming and traumatic. I specialize in working with adults who are going through significant life events and coping with the anxiety, loneliness, and self-doubt that can come along with them. Through a relational and strengths-based lens, I help my clients work through challenging or traumatic moments from their past that are holding them back from fully embracing the present. College students experience a unique type of stress - from adjusting to a new environment, to figuring out who you are, and balancing relationships with people at school and at home. If you find yourself over-thinking, worrying non-stop, or feeling uninterested in things you used to enjoy, therapy can help. With a fresh perspective, you'll gain strength and coping mechanisms to overcome what's preventing you from living a life you love. My hope is that my clients feel seen, supported, and empowered. You are the expert in your own experiences, and it’s my job to walk alongside you as a compassionate witness. Together, we’ll collaborate to identify goals that are aligned with your core values, and implement a plan to help you nurture your authentic self.
College can be exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming. Whether you’re feeling stressed, anxious, lonely, or unsure of yourself, you deserve support. I specialize in providing high-quality, short-term therapy to decrease anxiety. I’ll teach you how you can start using proven strategies to take back control of your thoughts, confidence, and peace. I also have 10 years of experience supporting neurodivergent clients and have a deep appreciation for the way sensory needs, communication styles, and social energy impact daily life on campus. I have expertise in tailoring evidence-based interventions for autistic individuals. In addition to my private practice, I supervise psychology doctoral students and lead a research program to improve mental health treatment for autistic and anxious clients. It’s so important to find a therapist you connect with, who offers support that actually helps. If you’re interested in working together, please reach out to schedule a free consultation.
Hi, thanks so much for taking an interest in my practice. It takes great courage and awareness to come to the decision to reach out for support. I see clients in my office in Cambridge, MA, near Davis Square, and in Melrose, MA, as well as by teletherapy/videochat. I specialize in helping people to free themselves from the 'silent conversation' that we have with ourselves throughout the day. By understanding how this conversation influences our thoughts, feelings, and actions, it is possible to adapt it to feel more empowered in life. It is my hope that your therapy experience will feel comforting, meaningful, real, and effective in getting to the heart of your core concerns. I work from an integrative framework in a warm and interactive environment, drawing from holistic, cognitive, and psychodynamic influences to help people to reclaim a sense of choice and authorship in their lives. My background includes more than 25 years in clinical healthcare, school, and community settings working therapeutically with individuals, couples, and groups on a wide-range of issues causing acute and chronic distress. As a licensed social worker, I specialize in helping individuals, both adolescents and adults, navigate the challenges of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and anxiety disorders. I use evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to empower my clients to manage their symptoms, develop healthier coping mechanisms, and to feel more comfortable with the inevitable discomfort and uncertainty that humans face daily. I offer a safe, compassionate, non-judgmental space where clients can openly explore their struggles. I believe in a holistic approach that addresses not just symptoms, but the whole person. I also value open communication, so I encourage feedback throughout our work together to ensure we are on the right path. I am passionate about this work because I truly believe that with the right tools and support, everyone has the ability to live a value-based life. I love seeing my clients develop a better understanding of their strengths and learn to live with uncertainty. It is amazing to me how much bigger the world can seem when we are not constrained by our fears.
As a therapist, I strive to bring warmth and wits into sessions with my patients. My role is to help people identify patterns that are causing trouble or distress. This process involves not only trying to understand the "root" of the problem, but also looking for ways in which individuals might get stuck in problematic ways of relating to others or thinking about themselves. This can be hard work, but it has the potential to be very rewarding. In my experience, people who engage in therapy often find that old patterns can change, and new choices are able to emerge in their lives. In my previous role as associate director of Boston University's Behavioral Medicine clinic, I worked with a diverse group of undergrad and graduate students. In my current practice, I work with adolescents and young adults who are struggling academically, or who are taking a leave of absence from college or grad school due to mental health concerns. I also have interests in depression, anxiety, parenting, postpartum depression/anxiety, and spiritual issues. But really, I like working with anyone striving for an examined life. I am not in-network with any insurance plans, but you may be able to use out of network benefits to help pay for the cost of therapy.
I enjoy working collaboratively with young adults and adolescents navigating identity exploration and development, relationship challenges, and transitions. Many of my clients are LGBTQ+, Autistic, college students, or those who may be wondering about the intersection of queerness and neurodivergence. I strive to meet clients where they are at and work collaboratively to identify needs and goals. My approach to counseling informed by relational and emotionally focused lenses. I work with clients from culturally responsive and identity-affirming perspectives and consider the impact of sociocultural identities on current distress. Clients have appreciated my compassionate and direct approach, and the use of humor as part of a strong relationship. I offer free 15 minute consultations for those who are interested in services. I believe that therapist fit is very important and want to make sure you can connect with a provider that meets your needs.
Are you feeling depressed or anxious? Are you having difficulty with defining your sexual and/or gender identity? If so, I can help. Using evidenced-based practices from Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, I can help you learn new skills to help improve your mood and overall enjoyment of life. As a gay, non-binary person, I can help you explore your sexual and/or gender identity in a safe and protected space.
Currently accepting new clients starting September 2025. Life can be difficult with challenges that get thrown our way. I work with adults 18+ experiencing anxiety, depression, mood dysregulation, relationship concerns, trauma, and more. I value meeting the client where they are at and assisting them in discovering their strengths. It is important that an individual has a warm and safe space and that is one of my main goals to provide to others. I am licensed in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. I utilize a person-centered approach mixed with CBT to focus on providing unconditional positive regard and respect while guiding clients through life stressors, traumas, emotional regulation, and finding the right coping techniques for you. I want to thank you and tell you how proud I am that you took the first step in prioritizing yourself. I invite you to take this next step in your journey to healing.
Hate therapy? I get it. If you’d rather spend your time and money not sifting through your problems, I don’t blame you. But, if you are missing out on a sense of peace or feel like you'll burst if something doesn't change soon, then it’s worth it to invest in yourself through therapy. I'm committed to not pathologizing people (you are not broken), but some of the concerns I work with the most are: men’s issues (i.e. intimacy) , life transitions (i.e. college, divorce), anxiety, substance use disorders, self esteem/empowerment. I tailor sophisticated treatment modalities to your needs and am abundantly grateful for your trust. I know what it's like to suffer and to start to see the light. You can, too. Together, we focus on measurable success through the use of evidence based models. I consistently stay abreast of new interventions to best serve you. While I adhere to a therapeutic structure, you'll find me easy going and making use of humor- no one wants to talk to a robot. While I'm committed to 'dweebing it out' with psychoeducation, formal psychotherapy pairs well with a less rigid, unpretentious environment. I strive to create that space for you. People say I'm easy to talk to & I bring this spirit to our relationship to make you feel comfortable sorting through some of those tough bits of life from the start.
Do you worry a lot, feel stressed, or overwhelmed all the time? Do you experience recurring unpleasant thoughts that impact your perception of the world or yourself? It might be exhausting to have a head full of racing ideas, but via therapy, we can try to free up some mental space. As a therapist, I have had the honor of helping patients who have a wide range of issues, such as stress, anxiety, and low self-esteem. I'm passionate about assisting people in overcoming the obstacles preventing them from engaging in more constructive self-talk, having a calmer mind, and living their best life. Psychotherapy can significantly improve your mental well-being. I specialize in treating various mental health issues. I meet clients where they are and begin the journey from there. I also utilize an integrative approach as fit. Reaching out for help can be difficult, but know that you're on the right path. Let us work together to bring balance and enjoyment back into your life.
If you’ve been finding yourself stuck in old patterns that you cannot change, perhaps struggling with feelings of inadequacy or fear of failure, you’ve come to the right place. The constant doubting and shaming of a strong inner critic can prevent us from entering new relationships, pursuing our interests and goals, and convince us that it’s not safe to allow anyone to get to know our true selves. Choosing to confront these themes in therapy takes courage and vulnerability, and represents the first step in a decision to prioritize your mental health. I will work with you to explore the themes that brought you to therapy, and develop the self-compassion to show up more authentically in your life. My therapeutic style is compassionate, sometimes humorous, and client-led. I center my work around Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and the Internal Family Systems (IFS) approach, and I often pull from relational or psychodynamic modalities as well. I work with adolescents and adults of all backgrounds, and I specialize in working with those who identify as athletes or performers (musicians, actors, dancers, etc.) If you’re interested in starting therapy to address some of those old patterns or painful feelings, I hope you’ll take the time to consider if we would work well together.
My ideal client is an adolescent or young adult facing challenges such as relationship struggles, perfectionism, or the pressures of academic or athletic life. They may also be navigating complex PTSD, personality disorders, depression, or anxiety. Their goal is to develop healthier coping strategies, improve emotional resilience, and foster personal growth. Whether you're an athlete, student, or young adult, you're seeking a way to balance life’s demands while addressing deeper emotional needs.
