Hello! We are a group of compassionate and highly skilled clinicians who love working with people to find their strengths to manage life transitions and struggles. We would love to talk with you more about how we can help you find your path and take Your Next Right Step forward!
I am an independent clinician working with teens, young adults and adults. I enjoy working with those enrolled in college as it is a unique time of life. What once felt simple can feel very different with independent living and high expectations. I am able to serve those in Indiana and Kansas through telehealth and in person in my office in Northwest Indiana.

I am committed to creating a strong therapeutic connection with my clients. Allowing you to feel safe and secure while sharing about life's struggles and guiding you through the process of increasing self-awareness and learning the tools to cope. Together we will create change; allowing you inner power, peace, and joy. I would be honored to be part of your journey whether this is your first time giving therapy a try or you are returning for more self-exploration. I offer therapy in-person in Kansas City or online via telehealth with clients anywhere in Missouri, Kansas, and California. I'm available Mondays-Fridays.
College can challenge you in unexpected ways. Alongside feeling excited and ready to embrace this experience, you may also feel anxious, overwhelmed, and disconnected. If you don’t quite feel like yourself, you’re not alone—and that doesn’t make you a bad friend, student, etc. I work with students dealing with life transitions, grief, anxiety, depression, or overall feeling stuck—offering a space to feel supported and steady as you move forward. In our work together, you’ll find a calm, compassionate space where you don’t have to hold it all together. I offer thoughtful guidance, practical tools, and steady support as you sort through what feels heavy or uncertain. My hope is that you leave sessions feeling more grounded, more connected to yourself, and more confident in the direction you’re moving. Together, we will slow down and gently make sense of what’s changing in your life. We’ll honor what feels heavy while uncovering the strengths you already carry. I’ll offer support and practical tools to help you feel steadier and clearer about your next steps. You don’t have to do this alone - feel free to reach out when you’re ready to get started.

I work with adults, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, relational stress, life transitions, and a desire for personal or interpersonal growth. I am accepting new clients and we answer the phone (and emails/texts)! *for telelhealth, you must be located in Kansas or Florida at the session time! **About Me: Embracing the ADHD Journey** Welcome! My name is Cherish, and I'm not your typical therapist. Why? Well, because I too am on this ADHD rollercoaster . Yup, that's right—I'm not just the guide; I'm on the ride with you! **My ADHD Story: The Real Deal** So, picture this: a therapist with ADHD. Sometimes, it's like juggling Jell-O, but I've learned to turn that chaos into my own kind of masterpiece. I'm all too familiar with those days when focus is just a mythical creature, and impulse control takes a vacation. But hey, isn't that the beauty of it?? I've been there, and I'm still here, thriving. **Why Young Professionals with ADHD?** Why young professionals, you ask? Well, because navigating life with ADHD is like trying to play Jenga blindfolded. The struggles are real—procrastination, time blindness, the paralysis, and not to mention the never-ending battle that is organization. You can't just Google "How to Adult with ADHD," but you can have someone by your side who's been there, stumbled, and found their way. **The ADHD Struggles Neurotypicals Don't Get** Ever tried explaining the literal paralysis from constant overwhelm? Or the struggle of remembering where you put your keys for the hundredth time? It's not just forgetfulness; it's a daily adventure. What about explaining your lack of motivation as a symptom rather than a character flaw? Neurotypicals might raise an eyebrow, but I nod knowingly. ADHD is not just about attention; it's about navigating a world that sometimes feels like it's set on fast-forward. Other times, it's about navigating a world when you are set on fast-forward. **Why ADHD Therapist? Because Been There, Done That** Therapy with someone who's danced with ADHD is like having a compass in uncharted territory. I get the frustration. I get the overwhelm. But I also get the brilliance that comes with it! Together, we'll find strategies that actually work for you and your life, not just some textbook solution. It's a collaboration, not a lecture. Could you imagine - a lecture on a rollercoaster?! **Let's Make ADHD Work for You** So, if you're tired of the one-size-fits-all advice and ready for a therapist who speaks your language (even if it's in a bit of a scatterbrained dialect), let's chat. Because life with ADHD is an epic journey, and having a fellow traveler by your side who truly gets it, can make all the difference. Let's turn those ADHD quirks into superpowers and build a life that's uniquely yours. **For Those Without an ADHD Diagnosis: Because Struggles Unite Us** If you're cruising through life without an ADHD diagnosis but still find yourself grappling with the same stuff or just itching for some personal growth, you're in good company! Life's a wild ride, and whether it's dodging daily curveballs or diving into the adventure of discovering who you really are, I've got your back. Our journey isn't confined to labels; it's about understanding and growing together. Let's start a journey that's uniquely yours. We'll navigate the challenges, celebrate the wins, and build a life that resonates with you. ADHD or not, we're all in this together, figuring out the beautiful chaos of life. Let's chat about the possibilities, turn those struggles into strengths and get you on track to a more kick-ass and authentic version of yourself.

My therapy is based on the life experiences and the philosophy of Viktor Frankl. His writings describe the kinds of the situation from which he and his fellow prisoners at Auschwitz were able, on a day-to-day basis, to extract the life-sustaining meaning that was essential to their survival. My therapy has three levels: (1) use mindfulness and relaxation methods to calm the emotional brain down, and (2) use cognitive-behavioral to develop a healthy sense of resiliency. In the 3rd stage, you will learn self-distancing techniques to discover meaningfulness at the moment and find better ways to expand your uniqueness. In this time of stress and uncertainty, you don’t need to be judged because you are worried, depressed, or angry. You don’t need to be judged because you have the wrong kind of thinking, or you lack social skills. I encourage you to try a form of therapy that appreciates your uniqueness, and together we can expand your uniqueness.
Since 2006, I have worked as a counselor in Louisiana (LPC 3780), Kansas (LCPC 2416), Virginia (LPC 0701008990), and Texas (LPC 86508). Currently, I work with adults who feel stuck whether navigating anxiety, depression, CPTSD, trauma, family challenges, identity, or major transitions. They want relief, self-understanding, hope, and healthier ways to cope. Most of all, they want to feel heard, supported, and capable of moving forward with confidence. I specialize in working with diverse clients, including military families, trauma survivors, those managing both mental health, and substance use. My humanistic, collaborative style helps you uncover strengths, build resilience, and develop practical tools. Together, we’ll create space for healing and real change. I know reaching out takes courage and you don’t have to do it alone. In our work, we’ll honor your unique experiences and create a safe space to explore challenges at your pace. If you’re ready to take that next step, I’d be honored to walk alongside you in your journey toward growth.

I work with high-achieving adults to help them prevent and recover from burnout and to develop resilience and wisdom. Together, we can explore the ways your past has shaped you into who you are today. You can become the person you want to be. I can help. I especially enjoy working with helping professionals (medical professionals, therapists, educators, and faith leaders) to address burnout, chronic stress, and resilience. Helping others was hard enough before COVID - it can feel impossible now! I can help you reconnect with what you used to love about your work and yourself.
