Accepting new clients

Relief and hope can grow from psychotherapy - lasting effects of nonjudgment, trust and stable support from another. Learning to talk through issues can lead to the development of your own unique voice - intrapersonally and with others - spur creative ways to address problems, and result in new or greater insight and a deeper understanding of feelings and needs.

I believe that understanding your own story is one of the bravest, most courageous things you can do. Everyone has their unique journey and story to tell, but how we deal with certain roadblocks is not always as straightforward. Taking that story and turning it into your strength is an even bigger feat. I often use Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy and CBT in my practice. In your first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and later decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress. With REBT, we'll look at how your thoughts affect your emotions and experience. During treatment, I'll help you learn how to push back against those thoughts to improve your feelings.I work with clients who may be struggling with depression or anxiety related to their relationships or family. During our initial sessions, we will delve deeply into the issues at hand, and collaborate to create a plan for addressing them in a way that helps you get your life back. Most of my clients see a gradual lifting of symptoms within the first month and sustained improvement after that.

Hey there! I am so glad you found me. I am currently building up my private practice, The Hall Practice, LLC. I have been a therapist for 3 years and I have found that I very much enjoy working with college students. I remember what it was like to be at this stage of life, it's exciting and scary! I especially remember trying to manage my anxiety on top of all the demands and new experiences. Whether you want support with managing anxiety, or just stress, relationships, mood, or just adjusting to this new chapter in your life, I would be so happy to help. Think of me as your cheerleader and your accountability partner. I will hand you the tools you need, and it is up to you to use them.

My priority from the start is building a relationship where they feel comfortable talking to me as though I am a trusted friend. I consider it an honor that they are putting their faith in me to help them during a time of vulnerability. I do not take this lightly. I want everyone to feel as though the plan developed was centered around their priorities. Throughout my career, I’ve found I enjoy working with those who experiencing distressing symptoms related to their mood and how this may impact their relationships around them. It’s important not just to look at the symptoms that one is experiencing but also how that’s impacting the most important aspects of their life.

You’ve always felt like you were different. You think about things more deeply than most people, you seem to feel things more deeply too. Often you find yourself appeasing others at your own expense because the idea of confrontation and asserting yourself feels so overwhelming. You hold yourself to really high standards and constantly compare yourself to others. In fact, you’ve gotten so used to being what other people want you to be that you aren’t even sure who you are anymore. You’re tired of relying on external validation and tired of struggling so much to speak up for your needs. How nice would it be to not feel anxious all the time?... To feel truly self-confident?... To set healthy boundaries with your parents, your partner, your boss, and your friends with ease? To have a deep sense of self-acceptance, self-compassion, and self-trust? I help highly sensitive, empathic adults feel comfortable in their own skin. You'll become an expert on how to set boundaries, access your center, and assert your truest self. My specialties are codependency, anxiety, self-esteem, childhood trauma, and grief counseling. Book a free consultation through my website to get started!

Marriage & Family Therapist
Colorado Springs, CO

Hi, I’m Rebecca! I’m a licensed therapist (LMFT), and I work with students who are navigating all the messy, beautiful, confusing parts of being human—especially during a time like college, when everything feels like it’s shifting. You don’t need to be in crisis to come to therapy. Maybe you're feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of who you’re becoming, and that’s okay. It’s normal to want some support while you're figuring things out. In our work together, you’ll find a space that’s calm, non-judgmental, and focused on you. I use a mix of approaches—CBT, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Solution-Focused work—but more than anything, I show up with compassion, curiosity, and respect for your pace and your story. I became a therapist because I know how powerful it can be to feel truly seen and heard. I bring my own love of creativity, deep listening, and belief in people’s resilience into the room with me. You don’t have to have the right words or a plan, just bring yourself. We’ll figure it out together.

Has anxiety, depression, relational struggles, and loneliness been plaguing you or perhaps your child or adolescent? These struggles are everywhere, but where are the solutions found? I believe that I can help you take steps toward the solution through learning about your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and how each is interconnected and impacting your mental health! I have a passion to work with teens and children who are struggling to find a voice to express what is going on inside. My services are not limited to children, as I am also passionate about helping adults give a voice to their inner struggle.

Psychologist
Overland Park, KS

I’m a psychologist licensed in both Massachusetts and Kansas who spent 5 years working in college mental health. My approach to therapy begins with the idea that all people have an inborn drive to grow and make continuous progress in their lives. But, difficult life circumstances often interfere with our natural capacity for growth. Negotiating life transitions, having relationship problems, and managing overwhelming responsibilities can make it hard to feel like our true selves. I strive to provide a warm and reflective space where you can take a break from the chaos of everyday life, observe your experiences and emotions, and reconnect with your core values. I am also an analytical thinker who can help you identify and understand different patterns in your life, both ones that can help you grow, and ones that have been getting in your way. I do my best work with people who feel misunderstood in their lives. If you frequently feel out of place because of who you are, or if you often find yourself being the only person "like you" in any given situation, I’d like to work with you. Through our collaboration, I hope to provide an experience that can help you transform your feelings into a productive creativity that you can carry with you for the rest of your life. If you think that I might be able to help you, please contact me so that we can talk and find out together whether my approach is a good fit for you. Unfortunately, because I am a staff psychologist at KU, I am unable to see students from KU at my private practice for therapy or testing.
