You’ve read self-help books, listened to podcasts, and tried recommended exercises, yet you’re still feeling stuck. Anxiety, perfectionism, or burnout might be weighing on you without relief. You keep pushing forward, hoping the stress will lighten if you just work a bit harder to "fix yourself", only to end up even more exhausted than before. It’s a cycle that can feel endless, leaving you unsure of where to turn or how to finally catch your breath. As a therapist, I know how discouraging it can be when your best efforts aren’t bringing the relief you crave. Together, we’ll look beyond surface-level fixes, dive into what’s really going on and develop strategies that lead to lasting, meaningful change. I’ve supported others through similar challenges, and I know it’s possible to break free from this relentless cycle. You don’t have to keep running on empty. With the right guidance and support, you can find a healthier balance, embrace self-compassion, and rediscover the energy and peace you’ve been missing.

Therapy can do more than relieve symptoms; it can alter the trajectory of your life. Those who contact me tend to need help to face fears, abandon rumination/worry, confront painful feelings, recapture a sense of meaning, deal with difficult people, better stand up for themselves, resolve grief, navigate life transitions, restore a sense of safety/trust, and process experiences of alienation or social exclusion. I aim to deeply understand you, share my impressions when the timing feels right, and help you feel less alone in what you carry. Our work together would involve identifying feelings, learning to better express them in words, noticing ways you avoid uncomfortable emotions, understanding how your past might be ‘living on’ in the present, identifying how your relationship patterns might repeat, and developing insight into parts of yourself which lie outside of your awareness. I started my career in 2010 at an eating disorder center. I later worked in an outpatient setting with a wider variety of individuals, but with a specialty in anxiety disorders, PTSD, intense emotions, and self-defeating behaviors. I have helped build DBT programs and served as a clinical director, supervising and training other therapists.
Sometimes getting out of bed and facing the world is unbearable. You are expected to show up and give your best, but you have nothing left to give. You muster up enough strength to get by and do it all over again the next day. Perhaps you are stuck in a rut and fear of everything prevents you from moving forward. Your mind is tired and the thought of taking any type of action scares you and makes you retreat. You find yourself in a vicious cycle of making promises to yourself and others, failing, and starting over. We have all been there and have needed someone to walk with us and help us choose a different path. I work with individuals and families to get them "unstuck." Acknowledging that you are the expert on your life, I meet you where you are and we work together to find realistic solutions to your problems. My goal is to empower you to make future decisions that move you forward versus leaving you depleted and stagnant. Contacting someone to support you when you are exhausted, anxious, sad, or afraid is COURAGEOUS! You are worth it and WE will get through this. While the journey may be challenging, you do not have to navigate it on your own. Take the first step to getting unstuck and give yourself permission to heal. I wish you all the best on your healing journey.

Hello! I’m glad you decided to start looking for a therapist! This suggests you are ready to stop being stuck in your head and move forward by getting the help you need. College can be exciting but very overwhelming. Along with some really cool experiences it can bring a sense of disconnection, loneliness, anxiety, fear, self-doubt and depression. You do not have to manage this alone! I work with students who may be waking up in the morning wondering how are they going to fake their way through the day. I’m here for the student struggling to find their people, masking their discomfort, digging deep for motivation, fighting anxiety or depression, questioning their choices, lacking focus, engaging in negative self talk, comparing themselves to others, and wishing things could just get easier. Therapy allows you space to talk about what’s on your mind and get some professional, non-biased feedback about your situation. I provide a supportive space that allows you the opportunity to explore your feelings and develop coping skills and solid practical solutions for whatever it is that is keeping you from your full potential. Together, some of the things we will focus on are: building self-confidence, improving social connection and managing stress. I allow you to set the pace. I’ll be empathically listening and identifying patterns of thoughts, feelings and behaviors that are unique to your situation. Through these observations we will be able to prioritize the main issues that are hindering positive change. We’ll work collaboratively to come up with a doable plan that suits your particular needs. Reaching out to a therapist is a courageous first step. I commend you for caring enough about your well-being to seek help.
When you find yourself struggling to cope with all of life's demands, you may feel stuck, exhausted, and overwhelmed. Each time you try something new, you end up right back where you started. This cycle may leave you with a sense of frustration, hopelessness, and confusion. If you find yourself wondering "why is nothing changing?" it probably means you need to try something different. In our work, a renewed sense of understanding is given to your struggles. By providing you with a safe and non-judgmental space, we are able to look at your life through a lens of compassion and bring clarity to confusing situations.

Finding a therapist who is "the right fit" is so important! Having graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2008 and having worked there for 7 years as well, I understand the challenges that students at elite universities can face - academic stress, perfectionism, anxiety, self-worth, family pressures, relationship issues, worries about the future, all the existential questions that can arise in the midst of new experiences, and more. If you are hurting and looking for help, you can work with a therapist who has helped so many Wash U students through their struggles. I provide compassionate, effective, evidence-based therapy. 96% of clients who begin weekly therapy here report substantial progress toward their goals, well above what is typical in therapy. I look forward to meeting with you! And as I have with so many Wash U students before, I look forward walking with you in your journey toward a happier, healthier you!
