Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW

Therapy can do more than relieve symptoms; it can alter the trajectory of your life. Those who contact me tend to need help to face fears, abandon rumination/worry, confront painful feelings, recapture a sense of meaning, deal with difficult people, better stand up for themselves, resolve grief, navigate life transitions, restore a sense of safety/trust, and process experiences of alienation or social exclusion. I aim to deeply understand you, share my impressions when the timing feels right, and help you feel less alone in what you carry.
Our work together would involve identifying feelings, learning to better express them in words, noticing ways you avoid uncomfortable emotions, understanding how your past might be ‘living on’ in the present, identifying how your relationship patterns might repeat, and developing insight into parts of yourself which lie outside of your awareness.
I started my career in 2010 at an eating disorder center. I later worked in an outpatient setting with a wider variety of individuals, but with a specialty in anxiety disorders, PTSD, intense emotions, and self-defeating behaviors. I have helped build DBT programs and served as a clinical director, supervising and training other therapists.
