Therapists for college students near Houston, TX
You're probably here because there is a part of you that knows you were created for more. You were made for deeper connections, more freedom and laughter, a greater sense of purpose and fullness of life. Life is hard. And somewhere along the way we begin relating to ourselves and others from a place of fear and woundedness. We numb ourselves, make ourselves small, and hide the parts that we fear will be rejected. We get stuck in patterns of feeling unlovable, unworthy, afraid, and disconnected from joy. Therapy can help you realign with your true self and find compassion and healing for the parts that feel stuck.

Counseling for men who don't want counseling. Theraphe was founded with the distinct purpose to serve men just like you with intentionality and respect. After working with men of all backgrounds through previous crisis and outpatient work, one thing was abundantly clear: We men want better for ourselves and for our families. Yet too often, we do it alone. Therefore, we wanted to build a place where men felt comfortable asking for help. A place, no doubt, where we would want to go. No foo-foey flower patterned couches and no potpourri. No shame in our identity as men. We needed a place where we could navigate our goals with someone who shares our lens and shares our values as men, husbands, and fathers.

I have been in the counseling profession for two years. I was drawn to this line of work after witnessing how powerful connection, trust, and a listening ear can be in helping someone navigate life’s challenges, regardless of age. My experience includes treating depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, domestic violence, sexual abuse, and life transitions. I currently work with individuals 12 years and older and in my free time, I love attending sporting events (Go 'Stros!), live concerts and performances, and listening to a good audiobook or podcast with an iced coffee in hand. A journey towards healing starts with taking that first step. If you have questions or would like to schedule a free brief consultation call to help take that first step towards healing please contact me. Paige Ingersoll is an LPC-Associate supervised by Cortnee Wright, M.A., LPC-S.
Life has a way of exhausting us, especially when it feels like we’re chasing standards no one could possibly meet. I know this struggle deeply. Like so many of us, I’ve juggled work, relationships and other obligations while forgetting to take care of myself. I know what it feels like to carry heavy expectations—as a woman of color and a child of an immigrant, I’ve often felt the weight of needing to be strong, capable, and successful all at once. I specialize in helping clients navigate anxiety and depression, and overcome the challenges of life transitions. As a new mother, I have expanded my skills in supporting perinatal individuals as well.

The clients I see are sometimes in college experiencing feelings of overwhelm or feeling low. These clients describe their challenges as feeling, “como con miedo,” and also, “no se que tengo.” Other clients I see are future counselors who are at the beginning of their careers and facing imposter syndrome ( “I must’ve slipped through the cracks to get to where I am now”), self-criticism (“Why can’t I get my life together!"), or burnout (feeling fatigued and like you can never catch up). These clients are usually part of activist movements or workplaces and I believe in helping the healers that are out in the world making a positive impact on society. I benefited greatly from my own experiences with counseling when I was in grad school (still do) and I hope to provide the same non-judgmental opportunities to cry or laugh or both to future clients. In my work I value humility, curiosity, self-compassion and humor. I believe these are needed to provide authenticity and support at a time when people starting out in their fields of work are taking in new information that is stretching/challenging perspectives and care for the self is a necessity to continue doing challenging work.

Do you often get caught up in repetitive, self-defeating thoughts or find yourself stuck in the same painful feelings despite your best efforts to change? Do you struggle to cope with or to make sense of your inner experiences? I can help you develop skills that allow you to be grounded, responsive, and purposeful in your day-to-day life and gain a deeper understanding of your most authentic self. Common themes in my practice are life transitions, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, codependency, substance abuse, and stress management. I have over ten years of experience helping individuals achieve mental health and wellness. I use a holistic, trauma-informed approach that incorporates both body and mind. I blend somatic therapies, cognitive-based therapies, and mindfulness techniques into my practice to support whole-person healing and change. Above all, I recognize feeling connected to your therapist is essential to the depth of work required in therapy. I strive to create a safe therapeutic environment that enables you to feel seen, heard, and supported. I want you to feel confident in your decision when selecting a therapist. Hi, I'm Emily Daily. I'm an LPC Associate supervised by Melissa Tatum, LPC-S. I attended Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas for both my undergraduate and graduate studies. I grew up in a very rural area of Southeast Texas, and I recognize that therapy services are not always easily accessible to everyone, which is why I am passionate about providing virtual services to clients anywhere in Texas. I have worked with numerous clients of all ages, backgrounds, genders, religions, sexual orientations, and so on. I primarily focus in supporting clients who have lived through trauma - whether recent or long ago. I also work with clients who deal with depression, anxiety, and several other issues. I often work with clients who carry stories of strength, survival, and often, deep pain. If you deal with depression, anxiety, or have experienced trauma, whether it’s something you talk about or something you’ve kept buried, I want you to know that you’re not alone, that healing is possible, and that you deserve it. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or exhausted from holding it all together, you don’t have to carry it alone. I primarily utilize a person-centered approach as well as cognitive-behavioral modalities. My approach is grounded, compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-informed. In our work together, we will move at your pace. This is not about fixing you - because you are not broken. It’s about creating a space where your story is honored, your nervous system can begin to feel safe again, and you can reconnect with the parts of you that feel lost or shut down. I am passionate about providing a safe and compassionate space where you can untangle painful experiences, reconnect with your inner strength, and feel more like yourself. You have already taken a powerful step by looking for support. When you are ready, I am here to walk alongside you.
College-age young adults experience their own unique challenges. In a time of new independence and exploration, there can be a lot of pressure and expectations on young adults to have their lives “figured out”. You may experience difficulties adjusting to a new environment and the challenges that come with that, such as moving away from home, managing your college course load, making friends, etc. Young adulthood also brings about new responsibilities related to school, work/career, and finances, like maintaining your own schedule and paying bills. Many of the college students I work with are dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, relationship issues, stress management, among other challenges. I provide young adult clients with the space to process and unpack their challenges, establish a trustworthy therapeutic relationship, and support them in building up their ability to cope with stress, understand their emotions, and meet their needs.

Whether you are seeking support for concerns related to work stress, relationships in your life, life transitions, need support managing your emotions, or need assistance processing a troubling event, I am here for you. During sessions I use a variety of trauma informed approaches to therapy, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
