At Solstice, NP in Psychiatry & Family Health, PLLC, we provide compassionate, evidence-based mental health care for college students and adults navigating stress, anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, sleep difficulties, mood changes, and life transitions. College can be exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming. Academic pressure, relationships, family expectations, identity development, burnout, loneliness, and uncertainty about the future can all impact emotional well-being. Our goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where students feel heard, understood, and empowered to take the next step in their mental health journey. We offer psychiatric evaluations, medication management, brief supportive therapy, and full therapy sessions with our on-staff Licensed Mental Health Counselor. This allows us to offer more complete, coordinated care and a range of treatment options based on each student’s individual needs. Care is collaborative, practical, and personalized, with attention to the whole person — emotional health, physical health, sleep, lifestyle, academics, relationships, stressors, and personal goals. Whether a student is seeking support for the first time, continuing care from home, or transitioning from pediatric or campus-based services, we aim to make treatment feel approachable and supportive. Our approach is grounded in science and guided by compassion. Services are available by telehealth throughout New York State, with in-person appointments available in Gardiner, NY. We look forward to supporting you! -Jennifer Hoben, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC, Founder -Jennifer Dipalo-Foley, LMHC

Getting help can be frightening. When suffering feels unclear or confusing, having someone to shed light on what you are going through makes a world of a difference. I have had a career of helping many people in tough moments while providing a safe, healing and empathic environment. I continue my beliefs and commitment to providing this to people dealing with trauma, depression and anxiety. It’s important to have someone in kinship to your journey. Find a renewed sense of comfort, wholeness and understanding to your experience. A relational space which allows open dialogue and collaboration over your life situation will bring about positive change and insight into needs, decisions or ambivalences. Common approaches can help someone cope on a moment-to-moment basis. Meanwhile, layers of your experiences and whether significant relationships have met your needs still necessitate insight and healing.
Healing and growth happen when you feel safe and supported. In our therapeutic space, you can expect to feel heard, respected, and understood. I will partner with you and draw upon your strengths in a warm, nonjudgmental, and curious way to achieve lasting, meaningful change. Being trained in Marriage and Family Therapy helps me appreciate that relationships matter and impact your well-being. I will use the context of your family and other important relational systems such as school, work, and your community to get to know you better and help you reach your goals. My approach is integrative and client-centered, meaning I rely on various treatment modalities and evidenced-based interventions to best suit you and/or your family’s needs. I treat individuals, couples, and families facing a wide range of issues including relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and school/career difficulties.
I am trained in EMDR and attend monthly consultation with a certified EMDR consultant. Many people come to me with knowledge or curiosity of stored trauma in the body and its effects. This can look like persistent anxiety, "unexplained" health challenges like autoimmune disease, pelvic pain, abdominal pain and more. Additionally, clients will come to me and say that despite years of talk therapy they still feel stuck and want to explore how EMDR may be helpful for them. EMDR is an 8 phase process that doesn't have a specific timeline; it is catered to your needs and goals and progress is closely monitored throughout.

Thoughts and emotions can be so powerful, but they can lead us to feeling stuck, lost, confused, dread, or even exhausted. We become so worked up that we might not know how to manage. We tend to isolate, panic, feel unseen, feel unheard, and become irritated because we don’t have the words. Clients will get to meet their present selves by exploring multiple aspects of their lives such as relationships with others and themselves, inner dialogue, communication, anxiety, depression, and more.As a therapist, I aim to create a space where clients have the opportunity to be vulnerable, grow, and feel empowered while working toward their goals and developing new skill sets. I offer a compassionate, creative, and individualized approach that is collaborative and non-judgmental. Together we will develop a deeper understanding of emotions, somatic symptoms, inner dialogue, boundaries, and how we view ourselves in order to improve our quality of life.
