Therapists for college students near University of Montana
“We all need to be seen and honored in the same way that we all need to breathe.” - Brené Brown. My primary focus in the room is to make you feel seen and honored. I approach counseling from a relational perspective; our therapeutic relationship is the most important thing to create. When you can feel safe, trusting, seen, and honored, healing and change can begin. I seek to support my clients in experiencing this in their relationship with myself and how to find this with others. My therapeutic approach is emotion focused with my clients; we explore patterns in their own relationships that often lead to shame, fear, or anger. We collaborate to explore how we can shift these patterns towards joy, belonging, and acceptance. I work with individual adults, children, and couples. I would like to acknowledge the bravery it takes to explore counseling and begin this journey. I am hopeful and excited to begin walking this path alongside you. “Being the 'best you can be' is really only possible when you are deeply connected to another.” – Sue Johnson

I work with people who want to step out of their heads and really connect with their bodies. Together, we notice triggers, explore patterns, and practice tuning the nervous system before stress or panic takes over. I guide clients to listen to what their bodies are trying to tell them, build self-awareness, strengthen resilience, and cultivate a grounded, present sense of calm with the goal of moving through life with more ease, clarity, and confidence while honoring their unique experiences.
Solutions Counseling would rather offer exceptional work with fewer clients than mediocrity with many. I believe in specializing. Ryanne was the first counselor here and she specializes in Combat Trauma and Executive Coaching. She is very direct and works mostly with Military, First Responders, and Executives. Her clients are not only ready to change their lives but are willing to put in the work to do so. Give yourself the gift of seeing someone who not only provides psychotherapy, but has the added skill set of specialization. Contact us today to set up a consultation or assessment with one of our outstanding psychotherapists!
If you are seeking clarity and understanding into how your experiences have influenced your quality of living, I would greatly enjoy meeting with you! I enjoy working from an empowered approach into our past; addressing past traumas and grief as a way to move forward and live 'in the moment' with a sense of understanding. With my background in community mental health and non-profit organizations, I work to find how we each contribute to and are influenced by our community. Mind-body health and awareness are stressed throughout our work together for optimal healing and vitality. My training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is oriented towards those who are seeking insight into themselves through a positive perspective as we work towards making tangible goals for improvement in career, relationships, self-acceptance, and general well-being. Often I find this approach most help for those who currently feel 'stuck'.

Grow in Connection, Trust & Sturdiness in Self: My hope is to join you in broadening the understanding of self and strengths. In doing so, building confidence, connection and tuning into the knowledge within you. Providing pause and opportunity to meet feelings, narratives, patterns and roles with curiosity and compassion. Building capacity for uncertainty and healthy coping as we learn and understand the context in which roles and reactions were shaped and cultivated, and how this self awareness can support choices aligned with your values moving forward. This approach accepts and honors where you are at as well as what you want to move towards, empowering self trust, wellbeing, and a meaningful path forward.
