Now accepting new clients! Hi there, my aim is to cultivate a space that fosters authentic connection, healing and curiosity while honoring each person's unique needs and truth. I firmly believe that true healing begins with our relationship with ourselves and blossoms through connections with others. I recognize that life experiences, relationships, and systemic influences can sometimes lead to feeling like you have a lack of control. I wish to assist you in re-establishing a sense of self-autonomy and agency within your life. I predominantly draw upon trauma informed, somatic-based, and relational culturally based interventions. This approach allows me to use a holistic lens to help you deepen your understanding of your emotions and experiences within the broader systems that surround you. I have experiences working with individuals who have experienced domestic violence, trauma, managing life transitions, depression, anxiety, and racial identity exploration. I enjoy working with individuals who identify as multi-/bi-racial within the BIPOC community. I look forward to connecting!

Healing through therapy will always begin with the relationship we create. My job is to bring a relationship full of compassion and respect for your journey through life. Your job in therapy is to show up. We will work together from there to find out what recovery means to you! Therapy is hard work, whether you are struggling with daily life, relationships, or wounds that have been impacting you for years. I hope to help you to find purpose in the struggle, and to find your best self in the healing. I am specialized in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) trauma therapy with a focus on complex and chronic trauma, as well as Transpersonal Therapy which includes a focus on spirituality. I also work with cognitive and Dialectical behavioral therapies to improve resources to help better manage mood and intrusive thoughts. Often times these modalities will be used together to help aid in complex diagnoses. Taking the first step in reaching out for therapy can sometimes be the most difficult part. Give me a call if you are interested for a free over the phone consultation!

Do you have old hurts that you’ve been wanting to heal from? Do you have a tendency to be anxious or depressed? And, now, we’re told to socially distance from one another while being fed urgent messages of doom, watching our normalcies evaporate. Whoa! That spikes the anxiety and depression! Here’s the good news… I can get us doing online therapy in just minutes. Don’t let social distancing deter you from therapy. We can keep you safe and healthy in your own home while getting the relief that you crave from therapy. During therapy, we can also explore options for how to stay connected while staying physically separated. Do your past experiences haunt you? Do you feel irritable and don't fully understand why? Have you had singular traumas that get triggered in different situations? Or, more repeated difficulties that wear at your soul? I have the skills to free you of your painful history so that you can shine in your unique, balanced authenticity. My specialties: trauma work, couples, LD assessments. Your history informs who you are now. I will help you feel safe as we find resolution and positivity. My approach expedites that process, ensuring you feel safe and protected. We move at the pace that works for you. TELETHERAPY in MT & NJ; license in NJ and MT. Owner of Sage Psychological Services, LLC

My approach is rooted in the idea that every individual has the innate ability to flourish when given the proper environment and tools to thrive. Clinical Social Work/Therapist
Bozeman, MT

Hi! I'm Virginia (she/hers). I work exclusively with college-aged and young adults, focusing on identity, attachment, and trauma recovery. My specialities are adoption, from the perspective of an adoptee, and LGBTQ2S+ affirming therapy. As young adults, we experience a lot of transition, self-doubt, anxiety, independence from our family system, and a desire to evolve our coping strategies. I love exploring identity; working with you to integrate all the parts of your authentic self into a feeling of being fully "you" every day. I work with adoptees, blending my perspective as an adopted person with my clinical background in neurobiological and attachment science, to assist you in unpacking the fog, preverbal trauma, identity and strengthening your sense of self, the duality of adoptive & biological families, and understanding adoption-specific trauma responses. How we view ourselves (and the lens we may have learned to look through in early experiences) determines how we interact with others, who we choose to partner with, and what interests we pursue in career development. I work on relational/response patterns you feel stuck in, building trust and confidence in your own decision-making, resolving sources of stress and anxiety, and I'm just generally dedicated to *raising up your self-worth*. My therapeutic focus is integrative and trauma-informed -- I understand that traditional models of counseling aren't helpful or affirming to every client. I draw on attachment, ACEs, internal family systems, neuroscience, but mainly, I center my client's lived experience. My clinical background includes LGBTQ+ resource centers, community mental health, nature-based retreats, and I am dedicate to ongoing advocacy work, alongside community organizations and national legal rights activists for young LGBTQ2S+ and adopted adults. I currently have morning and afternoon openings to work with your class and work schedules. I mainly offer virtual sessions ongoing, but also have a downtown office on Main St for those who prefer in-person work. Please contact me via email or visit the booking page on my website to schedule a free consultation!
