Therapists for college students near Boulder, CO
Hi, I'm Ariella, and I'm so glad you're here! I started WILD Essence Nature Guiding & Therapy because I saw a distinct relationship between our disconnection from nature and how it reflects our disconnection from Self. I believe that Self is formed in relationship and that the connection to ourselves, others, and the natural world are the utmost importance in our ability to heal our nervous systems and form healthy and lasting relationships, habits, and behaviors. Who I work with: While I enjoy working with clients with a broad range of struggles, I have a special interest in supporting women and neurodiverse individuals through life transitions, grief, and identity work, as well as working with those who have experienced complex or relational trauma, attachment wounding, and relational issues. I have worked in a variety of capacities with individuals of all ages and have experience and/or training in trauma, EMDR, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, women's issues, mindfulness, animal-assisted Therapy, LGBTQIA+ community, social justice/anti-racism counseling, and working with neurodivergent individuals. I received a master’s in counseling from Naropa University with a focus in Transpersonal Wilderness Therapy and experiential therapies. I completed a certification from the Gestalt Equine Institute of the Rockies. What to expect when working with me: My goal is to create a nonjudgmental and compassionate space for you to heal. During our sessions, whether in nature, in the office, or online, you can expect to feel seen, heard, and held. Whatever you are bringing in, we will work collaboratively to bring the unconscious conscious, identify outdated beliefs/patterns that may be getting in the way of your healing, and practice new skills for navigating and overcoming the challenges that you are experiencing. You can also expect to laugh, cry, feel lighter, feel joy, and experience positive change and growth. I offer a holistic approach to therapy, and I focus on a mind/body/nature connection, using mindfulness and somatic-based practices and movement to move energy and regulate your nervous system while working through challenging or disturbing material. ***Please note that I am only accepting Colorado Access Medicaid at this time***
Hi, I’m Trevor Roth, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with nearly 20 years of experience helping people navigate stress, anxiety, relationships, and life transitions. I work with college students who may be feeling overwhelmed by academic pressure, major life decisions, or personal challenges. My approach is supportive, practical, and collaborative. I draw from evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy while also considering the whole person their experiences, environment, and relationships. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable exploring what’s going on in your life while developing tools to manage stress, build resilience, and move toward meaningful change. Whether you’re facing anxiety, burnout, relationship stress, or simply feeling stuck, therapy can be a place to gain clarity, develop new skills, and move forward with confidence.
The journey to find your true self looks different for each individual and it is my goal to join you specifically where you are and walk alongside you as you find your way to where you’d like to be. I work in both private practice counseling and neurofeedback having experience working with clients suffering from anxiety, depression, relationship problems, sleep issues, eating disorders, learning disabilities, self-exploration, and much more. It is the most incredible feeling to join the process of somebody finding themselves and understanding that they have the power to make positive and lasting changes in their lives. With an empowering & non-judgmental approach I utilize CBT & SFT with skills including motivational interviewing, mindfulness, & Adlerian therapy. In addition, I can incorporate neurofeedback which is a technology that maps a client’s brain & discovers dysregulation. We can then address specific brain-based causes for many emotional and behavioral issues. My mission is to create a collaborative, holistic, and healthy therapeutic relationship individualized for you. I am honored to be in the position to see growth and change in people as they take steps to improve their lives. Please call for a free 15 minutes consultation to see if we would be a good match.
Hi there! I work with people who come to therapy for all sorts of reasons, but often because they want to feel better about who they are. Maybe you feel alone or like you're not sure where you're going in life, or your family isn't what you wish it was. As a a therapist, I like to help people look beneath the surface, beyond the symptoms, and understand what’s really going on. Why *do* you get anxious? Why does it feel like something’s missing? Maybe you know what you should do, but you just can’t seem to bring yourself to do it. Getting a better understanding of how your life has shaped who you are today can help make some of those things feel less confusing—and sometimes make change feel a little more possible. I have a particular soft spot for working with people who feel alone or different in some kind of way. While I may or may not have lived through the same things, I work hard to make therapy feel like a place where you can share those parts of yourself and maybe feel a little less alone. Before going into therapy, I spent over a decade working in tech, doing data analytics and software engineering at both big corporations and startups. This gives me a unique perspective on what post-college life might look like, as well as an appreciation for some of the challenges tech poses for people just starting their careers.
