Ariella Hubbard - Wild Essence Nature Guiding & Therapy
Hi, I'm Ariella, and I'm so glad you're here!
I started WILD Essence Nature Guiding & Therapy because I saw a distinct relationship between our disconnection from nature and how it reflects our disconnection from Self. I believe that Self is formed in relationship and that the connection to ourselves, others, and the natural world are the utmost importance in our ability to heal our nervous systems and form healthy and lasting relationships, habits, and behaviors.
Who I work with:
While I enjoy working with clients with a broad range of struggles, I have a special interest in supporting women and neurodiverse individuals through life transitions, grief, and identity work, as well as working with those who have experienced complex or relational trauma, attachment wounding, and relational issues. I have worked in a variety of capacities with individuals of all ages and have experience and/or training in trauma, EMDR, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, women's issues, mindfulness, animal-assisted Therapy, LGBTQIA+ community, social justice/anti-racism counseling, and working with neurodivergent individuals. I received a master’s in counseling from Naropa University with a focus in Transpersonal Wilderness Therapy and experiential therapies. I completed a certification from the Gestalt Equine Institute of the Rockies.
What to expect when working with me:
My goal is to create a nonjudgmental and compassionate space for you to heal. During our sessions, whether in nature, in the office, or online, you can expect to feel seen, heard, and held. Whatever you are bringing in, we will work collaboratively to bring the unconscious conscious, identify outdated beliefs/patterns that may be getting in the way of your healing, and practice new skills for navigating and overcoming the challenges that you are experiencing. You can also expect to laugh, cry, feel lighter, feel joy, and experience positive change and growth.
I offer a holistic approach to therapy, and I focus on a mind/body/nature connection, using mindfulness and somatic-based practices and movement to move energy and regulate your nervous system while working through challenging or disturbing material.
