I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master's degree in Counseling with a concentration in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling from Sam Houston State University. I have experience working with adjudicated youth in residential treatment, inpatient treatment, and at a PHP/IOP eating disorder treatment facility. My specialty areas include trauma, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, communication, and codependency. I approach therapy from a trauma-informed, client-centered perspective and am in alignment with Health at Every Size and Intuitive Eating principles that I incorporate into disordered eating and eating disorder treatment. I believe that the therapeutic relationship can be one of the most healing and safe relationships encountered so I strive to meet clients where they're at with empathy and genuineness. I aim to support clients and walk alongside them in their healing journey while highlighting their strengths. I am EMDR trained and enjoy incorporating EMDR into treatment as appropriate. I also utilize techniques and interventions from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Exposure Response Prevention (ERP). Foresight helps you find your path to mental wellness. We’re a community of mental health experts who offer a dynamic range of care that flexes with your particular needs and goals. Our team includes licensed therapists, psychiatric providers, researchers, a dedicated care team and more who bring you a thoughtful experience that blends traditional therapy with a technology-backed approach. Life has a way of exhausting us, especially when it feels like we’re chasing standards no one could possibly meet. I know this struggle deeply. Like so many of us, I’ve juggled work, relationships and other obligations while forgetting to take care of myself. I know what it feels like to carry heavy expectations—as a woman of color and a child of an immigrant, I’ve often felt the weight of needing to be strong, capable, and successful all at once. I specialize in helping clients navigate anxiety and depression, and overcome the challenges of life transitions. As a new mother, I have expanded my skills in supporting perinatal individuals as well.

I work best with women who are navigating major life transitions and feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of themselves. Many of my clients are in seasons like pregnancy, postpartum, early motherhood, or adjusting to shifting roles and identities. They may struggle with anxiety, mood changes, emotional overwhelm, or feeling like they’ve lost a sense of who they are. My clients often care deeply about their families but feel exhausted trying to hold everything together. They may feel unseen, invalidated, or alone in their experiences. They want a space where they can be honest without judgment and begin to understand themselves more clearly. If you’re looking for support that feels compassionate, grounded, and focused on helping you reconnect with yourself, you’re likely a great fit for my practice.

We are not biologically wired to cope with life alone. Even if we are not "alone" sometimes the ones we love lack the ability to fully support or understand us. Even if they may be a solid part of our support system. This is where therapy comes in. I specialize in guiding individuals through the intricate terrain of strong emotions. I have completed extensive training and research on healing strategies targeted for those trying to heal from adverse life experiences, trauma, ptsd, c-ptsd (attatchment/early childhood wounds) anxiety, depression, anger, and borderline personality disorder. **Treatment Modalities:** I am trained in EMDR, designed to reduce emotional distress due to traumatic life experiences. I also have special training in its use for helping those with borderline personality disorder and early childhood wounds, and anxiety-related issues. EMDR is considered a first-line treatment for trauma and has been shown to reduce emotional distress and accelerate the healing process. In addition, I use cognitive processing therapy (CPT), which has similar aims through different treatment techniques. Somatic (mind-body) techniques are also incorporated throughout the treatment process. We can talk about what will be the best fit for you. I also incorporate dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) skills for emotion regulation to tackle issues such as anxiety, depression, and anger. My clients will have take-home strategies that they can use outside of therapy. If you think we would be a good fit, I can be reached by call, text, or email.

I became a therapist because I understand how debilitating anxiety and depression resulting from trauma can be. Life can be overwhelming, but healthy coping skills learned in an emotionally safe, non-judgmental environment can help life become manageable and worth living again.

Entering adulthood isn't quite like you expected it to be. Yeah, you get more freedom, but you also get the added responsibility of being "the" adult. You find yourself more anxious and experiencing these different emotions that leave you feeling burdened and overwhelmed. You've tried several ways to cope, but those only offered a temporary solution. And if we're honest, they weren't the healthiest ways to cope. Managing your day-to-day life has become even more difficult, and you realize you can't go on like this much longer. As a marriage and family therapist- associate, I am skilled at helping individuals and couples live a healthy and more sustainable life. I fully understand the challenges that come with college life and am here to help. Through our time together, you’ll learn healthy and effective skills to cope, identify how to name and manage troubling emotions, replace irrational thoughts with realistic and empowering ones, and engage more positively with those around you. College years don't t have to be something that you heal from as an adult. I can help you find balance and healing now.

College can be exciting—and overwhelming at the same time. Many students come to counseling feeling stressed, burned out, unsure of who they are becoming, or anxious about the future. You might be juggling classes, work, relationships, family expectations, and big questions about identity and direction—while feeling like you’re supposed to have it all figured out. I provide a supportive, non-judgmental space where college students and young adults can slow down, process what they’re carrying, and feel genuinely understood. Counseling with me is collaborative, practical, and focused on helping you feel more grounded, confident, and clear as you move forward. I Work With Students Navigating: *Academic stress, burnout, and pressure to perform *Anxiety, overthinking, and constant mental fatigue *Identity exploration (values, purpose, faith, culture, self-worth) *Life transitions (starting college, transferring, graduating, post-grad uncertainty) *Career uncertainty, major decisions, and fear of “choosing wrong” *Relationship challenges (dating, friendships, family dynamics) *Perfectionism, people-pleasing, and imposter syndrome *Feeling lost, stuck, or disconnected from yourself You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from counseling—many students come simply because they want support during a demanding season of life. My approach is warm, thoughtful, and grounded in evidence-based counseling practices. Sessions are a space where you can talk openly, ask questions, and develop tools that actually help in daily life—whether that’s managing stress, improving boundaries, or making sense of who you’re becoming. If you are a Christian who values faith as part of your life, I also offer Christian counseling upon request. This is always optional and guided by your comfort level.
