Feeling stressed, stuck, or just plain overwhelmed? Let’s talk (no couch required!). I believe that finding a therapist who is the right fit for you is the most important part of the process. If you’re looking to heal from traumatic experiences, explore your interpersonal relationships, and clarify your life’s values, I might be the right fit for you. I have been trained in a range of evidence-based, short and long term trauma and depression therapy approaches.

My approach as a therapist is simple- I'm here to help you recognize the parts of yourself that you're proud of and change the parts you want to be different. Trust me, there is no problem too big or too small to bring to therapy! My clients have usually included people who have been marginalized by socio-economic barriers, people who have experienced trauma, and those with autism or other types of neurodivergence, or developmental disabilities. Since these issues can make life especially tough in new and different ways during college and the transition to adulthood, I've found that this stage of life can be the perfect time to seek out some help. Although I have a lot of experience working with ages 12-18, I'm also passionate about providing therapy to adults throughout the lifespan. I believe that a comfortable working relationship between you and your therapist is so important for you to fully access your resilience to heal and be empowered to achieve your goals. I'll always encourage you to give me honest feedback to ensure that sessions are supportive and meet your specific needs. Sessions with me will always be judgement free zones where authenticity and vulnerability are highly valued. Whether that sounds well within or far outside your comfort zone, I'd love to meet to answer any questions you have and to see if we might be a good fit. Find me at Austin Trauma Therapy Center (virtually or in-person) or schedule virtual sessions by clicking on my Headway website link.

Are you struggling with anxiety, depression, or academic stress, feeling lonely or homesick, navigating new relationships, choosing a career path, or simply having difficulty adjusting to college life and becoming more independent? This is where counseling can help with a counselor who’s been there. My first experience with professional counseling occurred when I walked into my school’s counseling center after an unexpected personal loss during my freshman year that greatly impacted the rest of my time in college. I had no idea that years later I would become a professional counselor myself seeing college students in my office. College can be simultaneously one of the most exciting and stressful times of a young adult’s life with little to no preparation beforehand. Moving to a different city or state (already one of the most stressful experiences we can have), trying to make new friends, and pick a major can all be an incredibly overwhelming transition to make. To change our present and future, we must understand our past and can do so by resolving emotionally wounded parts of ourselves that influence our thoughts and behaviors and hinder our health and relationships. I approach therapy holistically and use a combination of Internal Family Systems, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the State of Texas. I believe counseling is a place where you can be authentic and share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with validation and compassion. By putting in time, effort, and consistency we can work together to help you reach your goals. I also offer faith-based counseling and will strive to understand and respect your particular religious beliefs, cultural backgrounds, and personal values. I consider it an honor and a privilege to be a part of every client's unique journey of healing, change, and growth and invite you to reach out if you would like to begin that process with me today.

Our team includes LGBTQIA+ therapists and allied professionals from a range of racial, cultural, and gender identities. Some are in long-term recovery. Some are sex-positive and kink-aware. Together, we offer a dynamic, compassionate, and deeply relatable therapeutic environment—because we know healing happens best when you feel seen, heard, and understood by people who truly get it. You’re doing fine. So why doesn’t it feel like it? Maybe you’re keeping up with school, showing up for your friends, and getting through your days, but underneath it all, you feel anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of yourself. Maybe you overthink everything. You second-guess your decisions. You have a hard time saying no without feeling guilty. Your relationships leave you confused or drained. You keep falling into the same patterns even though you understand what you should do differently. Or maybe you’re going through a major transition and realizing that the person you’ve been becoming doesn’t quite feel like you anymore. That’s the kind of work I love doing. At Inner Axis Therapy, I work with college students and young adults who want more than coping skills and advice. We slow things down and get curious about why you respond the way you do, where those patterns came from, and what you actually want your life and relationships to look like. Therapy with me is collaborative, honest, and down-to-earth. You don’t have to come in with a diagnosis, a perfectly explained problem, or even know exactly what you need. We can start with, “Something just doesn’t feel right, and I want to understand why.” My goal isn’t to help you become a version of yourself that simply functions better. It’s to help you develop a stronger sense of who you are, trust yourself more, build healthier relationships, and make choices that feel more aligned with the person you want to become. You’re allowed to be figuring it out. Therapy can be part of that process.

Hi! My name is Michelle and I have a passion for working with women in the perinatal population, children, and athletes to improve their mental sport performance game! Navigating college and adulthood can be challenging and overwhelming! There is a lot to juggle and sometimes it can feel like a lot or you have to manage it alone. School or being an athlete can feel like a full time job. So it’s okay if you need someone to talk to, someone who’s been there and gets it. Because you don’t have to handle everything by yourself.

Hi! I’m Dariel; like Ariel, but with a D! I am licensed in IL(LCPC) and TX(LPC). I received my Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I am a Certified Daring Way Facilitator--A highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown. I integrate her work and research of vulnerability and shame resiliency into all of my work with clients in their personal and professional lives. When I see clients, I like to work from a strengths based approach. We focus not only on what you are struggling with, but also what you have done well in the past or are currently doing well. I believe it is as equally important to focus on strengths and effective skills, as it is to focus on weaknesses and maladaptive behaviors, so that you can gain greater awareness and deeper meaning on your healing journey. I enjoy working collaboratively with my clients to: Focus on supporting improving self-esteem, accessing inner strengths and resilience, and helping to learn more about self by exploring thoughts and feelings. Provide tools to learn how to manage difficult emotions so that you can meet your identified goals. Normalize that healing is about understanding our fragile parts--shifting from places that keep us stuck, and going to places that help us soar.

ONLINE ONLY! In my view, psychotherapy serves different purposes at different stages of one's life. For young adults, one of the key tasks at hand is to discover their potential, talents, weaknesses, fears, wants and needs, and to manage relationships at various levels of emotional intimacy. In this process, many of us need to clarify past issues and unresolved conflicts to move forward more freely. My practice is informal, relaxed and friendly, and most of my clients come from multicultural and multiracial backgrounds, and I treasure diversity. I am comfortable working in English, Portuguese and Spanish languages.

Hi, I'm Ayesha! We all face mental health challenges at different points in life, and seeking clarity is often the first step toward healing. You may be experiencing low moods, intrusive thoughts, or body image distress—all of which can lead to feelings of anxiety, depression, stress, and fatigue. Sadly, many people suffer in silence, avoiding the deeper work needed to shift unhelpful thinking patterns. This can create a cycle of guilt, shame, and unworthiness that reinforces emotional and behavioral struggles. I’m here to help you break that cycle. Through evidence-based therapeutic interventions, I support clients in identifying and disrupting negative thought patterns, gaining new perspectives on themselves and their life experiences. Together, we’ll work to unlearn unhealthy beliefs, better understand your emotions, and develop healthy coping strategies to manage life's challenges more effectively. As a clinician, I offer a safe and non-judgmental space where you can grow, heal, and explore your emotional experiences. I lead with empathy, compassion, and validation, while also maintaining a goal-oriented approach to help you make lasting changes. My passion lies in helping individuals navigate mood disorders, stress-related issues, and eating disorders. If you're ready to take that first brave step, I’m here to walk alongside you. Reach out today, and let’s begin your journey to healing.
