Therapists for college students near Pittsburgh, PA
The Anxiety and OCD Treatment Center of Philadelphia (AOTCP) specializes in providing compassionate and effective treatment for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and various anxiety disorders. We work with many anxious students in the area, providing tailored therapy to address a spectrum of OCD and anxiety related disorders commonly experienced by students. In addition to OCD and generalized anxiety, we help with related challenges such as test/performance anxiety, social anxiety and social skill impairments, maladaptive perfectionism, executive functioning difficulties, and other forms of neurodiversity. We use evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help students manage their symptoms and relate to their emotions differently, ultimately helping them more deeply engage in college life.
I specialize in working with adolescents, families, and adults. My clinical interests include, but are not limited to, working with anxiety, depression, trauma and LGBTQ-related concerns. I have advanced training in the Cognitive Processing Therapy trauma-focused approach. I began my clinical career in mental health in 2001, and have worked in mental health outpatient settings since 2009. I have experience in child welfare, and have held positions including adjunct professor, clinical director, and other administrative roles. My approach is individualized and tailored to the person I am working with. I believe in being supportive and patient, as therapy should not feel stringent or rushed.

As a therapist, I encourage you to bring the “messiest” parts of yourself into the room during our sessions. I strive to create a safe, yet empowering space for all my clients, especially for those who hold marginalized identities. I let you set the pace of treatment and help you build confidence in your innate abilities to persevere and heal during difficult seasons of life. I also encourage you to provide feedback throughout our time together, so that we can make treatment as impactful and positive as possible. I believe that the most important aspect of our work together involves building a strong therapeutic relationship, so you can also expect a deep interest in you as a person outside of presenting concerns or diagnoses. Feel free to reach out if I sound like a good fit for you and your current needs. Either way, I wish you luck on your healing journey!

Are You Looking For A Therapist Who Will Involve Your Entire Being, Mind, Body and Soul, in Your Healing Journey? There is a powerful connection between the body and the brain, and both the body and the brain rely on that connection to heal. With that, I utilize yoga practices to help guide you to integrate your mind and body. Unlike talk therapy, where we explore your thoughts and feelings on a topic or event, Yoga + Therapy encourages you to feel the body sensations that hold wisdom about that topic or event. Your body has an opinion, it's time to listen to it! I specialize in working with women and BIPOC - two groups I identify with and deeply care about. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and yoga teacher with specific training in trauma-informed practices. Yoga + Therapy strengthens the ability to be present in the mind, in the body, and ultimately, in life. If you are looking for traditional talk therapy only, I integrate meditation and mindfulness in sessions to help you further explore areas in your life. I am an Out of Network Provider (Self Pay/Private Pay). Please visit my website www.mindbodysoulcounseling.com to learn more about my practice and schedule a free 15 minute consultation call. I can't wait to work with you! There is a powerful connection between the body and the brain, and both the body and the brain rely on that connection to heal. I emphasize the importance of being comfortable in your own body. Yoga + Therapy strengthens the ability to be present in the mind, in the body, and ultimately, in life.
Immediate availability! I am a licensed psychologist who works with adults 18+ and couples, particularly around navigating stress and anxiety, insomnia, building self-confidence, navigating life transitions, and relationships. My goal is to create a space where you can feel comfortable discussing challenging experiences and relationships, build resilience and coping skills, and develop your own individual identity. I hope to make this a collaborative experience in which we can engage in problem solving and exploration around all aspects of personal and professional development, while also sharing in some laughter. I help adults and couples get unstuck, navigate challenges more effectively, and build healthier, more connected relationships and lives. I also provide Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), the first-line treatment for chronic insomnia. My style is warm and conversational, but also active and direct. With couples, I use Relational Life Therapy to interrupt and change patterns driving conflict or disconnection and strengthen connection. In individual therapy, we may work on practical tools, boundaries, emotional or relationship patterns, or CBT for insomnia depending on your goals.
I’m a health psychologist who helps people break the cycle between life stress and physical health problems. Stress, burnout, and emotional strain can lead to poor sleep, weight gain, high blood pressure, and difficulty managing conditions like diabetes or chronic illness. At the same time, health issues can affect your mood, relationships, motivation, and daily habits. I use evidence-based approaches — including CBT, ACT, and motivational interviewing — to help people shift unhelpful thought patterns, manage emotions, and make sustainable changes in how they care for themselves. Whether you're navigating a new diagnosis or struggling to stick with a health plan, I work collaboratively to create a personalized strategy that fits your real life. My goal is to help patients feel more in control of their health and well-being — not just physically, but emotionally and behaviorally.
My office is a safe space for all, regardless of gender or sexual orientation; everyone is welcome here. I believe that everyone is human first, and no two people are alike. It takes a village and I am here to be part of yours.
At Restore relationships we strive to teach the inner connections of life. Much like fungi, humans root themselves through branching off and building new, thriving, fulfilling relationships and connections. How we manage and love in these relationships has a lot to do with how we grew up. Our childhood experiences, traumatic events, and connections with others influence more of our independent being than understood. That’s where our job comes in, helping our clients understand the connections that made a footprint on their beings. By redefining, uncovering, and learning about the relationships in our lives, we begin to shift focus on the most important relationship, the one with ourselves. Restore offers multiple forms of relationship therapy with a depth focus on the family. Therapy is offered by a trained professional specifically educated in marriage and family therapy. Understanding relationships are our most precious gift, it is imperative proper navigation in these relationships is taught. About the owner: Hannah graduated in May of 2019 from Thomas Jefferson University with a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) after completing 500 clinical hours. Hannah then served in community mental health as a mobile crisis stabilization therapist providing home/school-based sessions for families in the Northeast. Hannah transitioned into a private group practice in 2021 focusing on couples, individuals, and families. Hannah completed her licensure requirements and received her license in November 2021. Recently Hannah has opened her own practice and is extending hours to accept new clients! A message from Hannah: "Hello, my fellow warriors! I am not your average therapist, I am an unfiltered therapist discussing, supporting, and rallying for all challenges, transitions, and celebrations we undergo in this life! Please join me as we experience the power of the therapeutic relationship while discovering hidden generational patterns, identities, and a whole list of potential possibilities! I look forward to witnessing this journey with you!"

After struggling with anxiety or depression for long enough, you may start to feel stuck. Anxiety and depression can make us think and act in ways that ironically leave us feeling even more anxious and depressed, creating a kind of "vicious cycle." Fortunately, advances in evidence-based therapies have given rise to interventions that can reliably interrupt this cycle, so you can stop struggling and start living. I work with my clients using cognitive-behavioral and humanistic approaches, and incorporate mindfulness-based interventions to decrease the impact of challenging thoughts and emotions, while simultaneously increasing engagement with who and what matters most. Your values and goals will guide our work together every step of the way. Choosing a therapist can be difficult - an online profile can only tell you so much. My advice is to speak with a few different therapists first to determine who feels like a good fit for you, and trust your instincts! Contact me for a free 15-20 minute phone consultation.
