Hi, I'm Kristine! College and early adulthood can feel like the first time no one's handing you a syllabus for your own life, and that's disorienting. If anxiety, homesickness, imposter feelings, or the pressure to have it all figured out are wearing you down, I'd love to help. I work with students and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, and the identity questions that come with being newly on your own. Many of my clients grew up as the responsible one, the peacekeeper, or the high achiever, and are realizing that pattern is exhausting to maintain. We'll get curious about where that started and build something more sustainable in its place. My approach combines CBT and psychodynamic therapy with mindfulness and a mind-body lens since academic stress and anxiety show up physically as much as mentally. Sessions are practical and collaborative. You bring what's going on, I bring structure and support. *Insurance & Fees* I am in-network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Northwell Direct, and Quest Behavioral Health. For all other major insurance companies, I am an out of network provider. My office provides a superbill for you to submit for reimbursement and we will assist you in verifying your benefits to make the process as seamless as possible. I also offer a sliding scale rate for those in need. Please reach out to learn more about how we can work together.

Using a trauma-informed and psychodynamic approach, we explore how your past experiences shape your present, helping you gain the insight needed to move forward with confidence. I blend professional expertise with a personal understanding of life’s major transitions. I reject the one size fits all checklist in favor of strategies tailored to your unique goals and experiences. Whether we are addressing family dynamics or the intense reality of becoming a new parent, our sessions are a space for you to be seen and supported without the fluff of You don't have to have it figured out to start. Whether you're a student finding your footing or someone quietly struggling beneath a put-together exterior, I offer a down-to-earth, judgment-free space to drop the perfect act and focus on what's actually going on. I specialize in anxiety, OCD, eating disorders, body image, and relationship stress — and I take a trauma-informed, psychodynamic approach to get to the root, not just the surface. We build tools you can actually use, tailored to your life and goals. I offer help in better approaching your issues of depression, loss, anxiety, event and complex trauma, relationships, and self-esteem with personal development and greater self capacity. The psychotherapy model that I practice in is psychodynamic Object Relations which focuses on uncovering previously unknown or inaccessible sources of frustration and distress. Such states of feeling are often the result of experience which developed into conflicting internal motivations and expectations. Without remaking these through a working relationship with a psychotherapist, these experiences get repeated throughout our lives.
