My approach is person-centered, DBT-oriented, and grounded in a trauma-informed, holistic, and culturally sensitive framework. I believe therapy should be collaborative and tailored to each individual’s unique needs and lived experiences. I place a strong emphasis on building practical, evidence-based skills—particularly DBT skills such as mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness—to help clients better manage emotions, navigate relationships, and cope with life’s challenges. My goal is to support clients in creating meaningful change while honoring where they are in the present moment.

Helping individuals manage stress, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflict, and traumatic life experiences are some of my areas of expertise. Adding school pressures, deadlines, work, parenting and other responsibilities on top of that can be very overwhelming. Pain and emotions that we have been running from can start to catch up with us, stress and anxiety can climb to a level we have never experienced, and the relationships that we cherish can become strained. As life evolves we can lose the ability to cope the way we once did. When this happens we often need to adjust, understand the deeper source of our struggle and learn new strategies to manage our thoughts and feelings. With over 15 years experience in the mental health field I have helped many people do just that, learn new strategies and better understand themselves so that they can successfully manage life's ups and downs. If you are reading this and find yourself saying, "that's me", give me a call. You don't how to figure this out alone.

College can be exciting and full of possibility, but it can also feel heavy. You might be juggling classes, friendships, family expectations, or questions about who you are and who you want to be. Maybe you’re feeling misunderstood, burned out, or carrying experiences from earlier in life that still show up in the present. Whatever you’re facing, you deserve a place where you don’t have to hold it all together. That’s where I come in. I offer a space where you can slow down, be honest, and explore what’s really going on beneath the surface. We’ll work together to make sense of your stress, your relationships, and the parts of your story that feel confusing or overwhelming. My goal is to help you build clarity, confidence, and coping skills that actually fit your life. If you’re curious about whether we’re a good match, you’re welcome to schedule a 15-minute consultation so we can figure it out together. You deserve support that feels grounding and real, and I’m here to help you get started.

For many, college is the best of times..the newfound freedom to discover who you are and where you’re going in your career and your relationships and the sense of all that’s possible. But, for others, it’s also the worst. Why? Because this is also a time of existential crises. New freedoms bring up so many questions: Is this really the relationship or career I want to pursue? If this is such a great time in my life, why do I feel so anxious, stressed, or depressed? Why can’t I regularly tap into the motivation I want to do all the things I’ve always wanted to do? Imagine how it feels… the waves constantly coming at you. You personally have to navigate these situations, because you’re the only one with all the answers. But it feels scary and shameful that you don’t have the foggiest clue of what you’re doing. And shouldn’t you already know by now?? Not at all! Truth is, college is a much more difficult time than most people acknowledge. But hard times can also be opportunities… for you to discover more fully who you are and how to embrace this ‘not-knowing.’ Our work together will help you learn how to make sense of all these different feelings, and cultivate the creativity needed to make something interesting and new out of all those questions. Instead of being pummeled by the waves, you can actually surf them! Instead of getting pulled in by the undertow, the barrage of self-critical and anxious thoughts that keep you up at night, I’ll help you learn how to approach these without fear and harness them so you can find your answers. Let’s get started! If you’re excited about putting aside the worry and the stress and finding your energy and direction again, call or email me so we can get started. College can be that great time you’d always hoped it would be.

I come with passions for working with the neurodivergent population (specifically with ADHD and Autism and unpacking a late realization), providing gender-affirming care, sex-positive counseling, disordered eating, and body image, managing and processing chronic illness, and identity work through a trauma-informed and all-inclusive perspective. As a queer, neurodiverse counselor, my experience has offered me perspectives from within the community and has given me a passion for advocacy, connection, and collaboration. While I come with passion in these areas, my work goes beyond these areas. I believe that every individual and their needs deserve space in the therapeutic setting and it is my goal to create a space.
