I think it is extremely courageous to admit we need help. I believe one of the most important criteria for successful treatment is to have a trusting, open, "therapeutic rapport" with a client. Without trust and a good connection, the therapeutic process cannot begin. With that in mind, I believe the first step is creating an environment safe from judgement and rich in support. My focus is to enable clients to acquire insight, skills, and motivation for emotional, cognitive, and behavioral transitions.I specialize in older adolescent and adult individual therapy as well as family and couples counseling. I assist clients in developing healthier coping and inter-personal skills that address topics related to: assertiveness, anger management, parenting strategies, managing mood disorders (anxiety and depression), impulse control, PTSD (EMDR), life transitions, grief, conflict resolution, mindfulness, sexuality, and stress management. I am a big proponent in assisting clients built self-confidence. I also have a degree in Accounting as well that I use with individuals and couples around money management, budgeting, savings, and retirement planning. I also have experience as a business consultant for individuals.

Are you caught up in OCD, anxiety, perfectionism, or a phobia that is preventing you from living life on your own terms? Do you feel stuck in your own mind and overwhelmed by simply getting through the day? I am passionate about helping older teens and adults get unstuck from unhelpful "stuff." I offer individual therapy for motivated people who are tired of accommodating their OCD or phobia, can't avoid their anxiety any longer, and are sick of being trapped in their own thoughts. Our sessions together can be a space of exploration, personal development, confidence-building, and healing. I am accepting new clients in MA (in-person & virtual), ME (virtual), & CT (virtual). I use a collaborative, exploratory, and genuine approach to help you feel heard, safe, and encouraged. I have specialized training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Inference-based Cognitive Behavior Therapy for OCD (I-CBT). Let's work together to develop a plan to improve your quality of life. While this will mean confronting uncertainty, acknowledging fears, and changing behavioral patterns, the goal is to bring you closer to living the life you deserve. We will take this one step at a time, together. If you're curious to learn more, I encourage you to reach out. Let’s chat!

Life’s challenges often trigger complex emotions. Despite our best efforts to cope, it can be overwhelming to understand what we are feeling and why. My approach is warm, collaborative, and depathologizing, where I hold curiosity about the expansiveness of your lived experiences. I have formal training in relational psychodynamic and emotion-focused therapy that supports meaningful change by attending to unconscious patterns, attachment needs, and ways your body responds to stress. I also adapt elements from CBT, DBT, narrative practices, and expressive arts based on what feels meaningful for you as we meet each session. I work with adults navigating anxiety, OCD, mood disorders, low self-esteem, major life transitions, relational and family conflicts, interpersonal/systemic trauma, and grief. I enjoy working with people from all backgrounds, and invite conversations about identity, privilege, and oppression to explore how social systems have quietly shaped your inner life. As an Indian migrant, I understand the complexity of living between cultures. I am particularly drawn to supporting BIPOC folks, fellow migrants, and second-generation immigrants. Curated with care, I intend to create a space where we can navigate intergenerational dynamics, immigration grief, acculturative stress, and make a home inside and out. I offer services in English and Hindi.

My approach to psychotherapy is person-centered, tailoring the therapy to the unique needs and lived experiences of each client. I draw primarily from psychodynamic therapies, with attention to the neurobiology of trauma and attachment. I also integrate narrative practices to help clients reauthor the stories they tell about their lives, and cognitive-behavioral practices to help transform insight into strategies for change. My style is authentic, non-judgmental, and warm, and I work with clients to enrich therapy with diverse sources of meaning-making, including art, music, film, literature, and world philosophies. I offer individual therapy to adults of any age to address a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, self-esteem, relationship issues, life transitions, and existential and spiritual issues related to personal values and fulfillment. I also work with clients to address issues related to culture, race, sexuality, gender, and class. In addition to my clinical training, I hold a PhD in philosophy and have a background as a college educator in ethics and social issues. I have a passion for helping clients as they navigate questions related to life meaning, personal identity, and social connectedness, and I aim to empower clients to explore new perspectives about themselves and the world.

You are told that college will be the best four years of your life. However, the reality is not living up to the expectation. For most, college is NOT the best four years of their life. What it is, however, is a period of tremendous self discovery and growth, often propelled by social and academic challenges. I am here to walk with you, side by side, through this journey. Therapy is a dynamic conversation geared towards your needs-to be challenged, validated, empowered, or understood; every session is designed to meet you where you are both that day and in their overall therapeutic journey. I value the use of humor and authentic connection. I primarily utilize psychodynamic therapy, CBT, and attachment theory, all within a trauma informed lens. Current and past clients have highlighted that they valued my authenticity as a person and provider, that I created a non-judgmental, accepting, and empathetic space where they felt truly seen and cared for, and that our work together has been valuable and healing. Please reach out via email for an initial consultation.

At Back Bay Mental Health, we connect best with college students from Boston and Cambridge who are juggling the intense pressures of school, social life, and figuring out who they are—all while facing mental health challenges that can make it feel impossible to keep up. Whether you’re a BU student burning out from late-night study sessions, a Harvard undergrad wrestling with anxiety that’s derailing your focus, or a BC student quietly struggling with depression after a tough semester, we get it. Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is built for students like you—smart, driven, and determined to thrive, but maybe feeling overwhelmed, isolated, or stuck right now. We work best with students who are ready to tackle issues like stress, mood swings, trauma, or even substance use that’s crept into their lives, without putting their college experience on hold. You might be someone who’s tired of pretending everything’s fine when it’s not, or who’s been hit hard by a breakup, a family crisis, or the weight of expectations—and needs a space to sort it all out. Our clients often share a desire to feel in control again, to find balance, and to get back to enjoying the things that matter, like acing that midterm or hanging out with friends without a cloud hanging over them. Located right in the heart of Back Bay, steps from the Babcock Street T stop, our IOP fits into your busy student life with flexible scheduling—think evening sessions that leave your days free for class or work. We’re here for the perfectionists who’ve hit a wall, the creatives battling self-doubt, or the athletes sidelined by stress. If you’re ready to take on your mental health with a team that gets the college grind and won’t judge where you’re at, we’d love to help you find your footing and thrive.

People often seek therapy when they feel overwhelmed by problems and disconnected from the values, relationships, and experiences that give meaning to their lives. I am excited about working together to help you claim agency in the face of life's problems so that you can become the primary author of your life's story. My approach is grounded in Narrative Therapy, which helps people stand up to problems and align themselves more closely with their values and beliefs. Narrative practices also focus on separating personal identities from the problems that, for many people, have come to define their sense of self. I really enjoy the process of supporting college students through the unique challenges and transitions that characterize this phase of life. My practice also welcomes people who identify as neurodivergent and/or belong to the LGBTQ+ community. If the challenges you're up against (such as anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and interpersonal/family conflict) are exerting too much control over you and your life, I invite you to contact me to schedule a free phone consultation.

She is committed to helping clients feel understood and supported, while facilitating more adaptive, connected, and meaningful lives. At the heart of Priti’s clinical work is a deep belief that healing occurs within safe, secure, and attuned relationships. Her counseling approach is warm, collaborative, and relational, rooted in fostering a sense of safety and acceptance. She views the therapeutic relationship as a central conduit for transformation and growth, meeting clients where they are and walking alongside them as they come home to themselves. Priti supports clients in reconnecting with their inner child, reclaiming their identities, and expanding their capacity to hold grief throughout life. The populations Priti Specializes in: Priti has experience providing outpatient and inpatient mental health services to adolescents, adults, and families. Priti understands that adolescence can be a tender, and often overwhelming stage of life, marked by social pressures, identity exploration, and emotional intensity. She has particular experience supporting teen girls recovering from complex early childhood trauma, including the lasting effects of early parental substance abuse, grief, bullying, attachment disruptions, and other adverse childhood experiences. Through a trauma-informed and compassionate approach, Priti helps young women build self-understanding, strengthen coping skills, develop healthy relationships, and move toward healing and growth. Who is Priti Outside of the Therapy Room? When she's not working with clients, Priti enjoys spending time with family and friends. Her hobbies include exploring new coffee shops, strength training, cooking, traveling, and reading action, adventure, and high fantasy novels. From the age of eight, Priti was taught Garba, a traditional folk dance from Gujarat, India, by her mother. She is currently learning Bharatanatyam, a classical Indian dance form originating from Tamil Nadu, India. For Priti, culture, tradition, food, movement, and storytelling are meaningful ways to stay connected to herself, her heritage, and her community. She finds joy in exploring life through dance, strength training, new culinary experiences, and the immersive worlds found in books. I believe therapy starts with connection. I bring warmth, sensitivity, and active engagement to my work, creating a space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, past trauma, or navigating a major life transition, I’m here to help you understand yourself with more clarity and self-compassion. My approach is grounded in the belief that people are more than a diagnosis. I work from a non-pathologizing, wellness-centered perspective, which means I focus on understanding your unique story rather than reducing it to symptoms or labels. Together, we can explore the deeper patterns that may be getting in your way and move toward a more grounded, meaningful way of living. My psychotherapy education includes a master’s in counseling from Northwestern University. I’ve also completed a post-graduate fellowship in psychoanalysis through the Massachusetts Institute of Psychoanalysis, as well as a behavioral medicine program with Boston Behavioral Medicine. Before becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade as a physician assistant, working closely with patients across medical settings. That experience continues to inform the way I understand the mind-body connection and how stress, trauma, and emotional pain can show up physically as well as mentally. In addition to my work at Omega Therapy Practice, I’ve provided therapy in community mental health settings, supporting individuals facing anxiety, depression, PTSD, substance use, and relationship difficulties. I enjoy working with adults of all ages including college students, the elderly, healthcare professionals, LGBTQIA, those exploring identity, and healing from past wounds.
