My passion is to help people to move through their pain to a healthier version of themselves. The populations I enjoy working with are women and couples. Depression and anxiety seem to be why most of my clients seek out therapy. I do offer Telehealth, which may make it easier for a college student to see a therapist.

Have you felt like you’re just surviving and unsure of how to create a different life for yourself? Are you ready for a change? Grow with the Flow Therapy focuses on life transitions, relationships, grief, and reducing anxiety and depression to create a more balanced life with meaning and purpose. We build awareness of thoughts, beliefs, and behavioral patterns that could be causing challenges. We try to live into our name by working on personal growth and change while we ‘go with the flow,’ trying to not fight against the currents of circumstances that we cannot change, but instead look for opportunities where change is possible. My 10+ years of experience as a therapist with my training as a 200+ hr yoga teacher (CYT) and mindfulness meditation teacher (MMT) certifications inform my work. I combine these mindfulness practices with those of cutting-edge neuroscience and evidence-based therapeutic approaches to address your individualized treatment goal. Therapy is not always comfortable or easy – it focuses on shifting perspective, beliefs, thoughts, behaviors, and emotions to show up differently in the world. Change and growth are possible! I have the honor and privilege to have a front-row seat to it daily. There is no way around – only through – and I’d be honored to accompany you on that journey.

All humans experience pain and stress in life along with the propensity to become entangled in distressing thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations when challenges arise. This often leads to perceptions, interactions, behavior, and decision that add further distress to both the mind and body. I attempt to facilitate increased mindfulness with individuals through improved insight, awareness, compassion, non-judgment, and decreased entanglement in the distressing internal dialogue. I incorporate various theoretical perspectives including mindfulness, person-centered, cognitive, and cognitive-behavioral as I guide individuals toward increased inner peace. The following provides a glimpse into my style of therapy: “I beg you…to have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don’t search for the answers, which could not be given you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer…” – Rainer Maria Rilke

Voyage Counseling was formally Brownsburg Guidance & Counseling Center that was founded by Mike Mull in 1987. Prior to Mike passing away in 2019, he expressed his wish that Erin and Jessica continue his legacy in the community. The building and practice was purchased by Erin and Jessica and renamed Voyage Counseling at the Mull House. Our counseling services are designed to assist individuals, couples, and families resolve their issues without the stigma of "mental illness". The vast majority of those seeking counseling are functional, productive, mentally healthy individuals, without a history of serious psychiatric problems. It is this population of men and women our services are designed to help. We strive to provide the specific psychological tools and knowledge necessary to resolve your personal problems. This educational approach to counseling avoids the pitfalls of the medical psychiatric model with its emphasis on treatment, illness, and abnormality. Our offices provide an informal, cozy, relaxing atmosphere, where client confidentiality is always assured. Because we are a private practice, there is a minimum of paperwork with no lengthy administrative procedures required to receive the counseling you are seeking. You are never a number and are given the personal consideration often lacking in large, non-private clinics.

The mission of Restore & Recover is to provide confidential and person-specific therapy to those struggling with a variety of issues that modern life brings. Since 1999, I have been working in the social services field. During the past 25 years, mental health and addictions treatment has changed dramatically. This has taught me that there is no "One Size Fits All" treatment style. After receiving my Masters degree from Indiana University in 2006, I was given the opportunity to work in one of Indianapolis' inner city hospitals. I have always accredited this time in my life as being where I truly learned how to be a therapist. After time spent there, I moved into a more specialized role in addictions treatment. As well as a leadership role in Hamilton County with a local community mental health agency and then moved into my private practice career. I am not the most traditional therapist. I am laid back while also direct. My hope is that when you enter my office you feel at-home, having a comfortable chat with a friend while receiving the benefits of a skilled clinician. When providing any treatment, but especially substance abuse treatment, I believe strongly that my role is not to tell you what to do, but to help motivate you to make the changes you know you need. I believe that there are many roads that can get us to the destination we desire. I hope to help guide you there as quickly and painlessly as possible. I provide evidence-based treatment for depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, trauma, adjustment disorders, stress management, addictions (including Suboxone maintenance) as well as court-ordered treatment. I have worked with those in the LGBTQ+- community through out entire career. I also provide substance abuse assessments for both court-ordered clients as well as EAP.

My favorite part of therapy is talking things out with an empathic therapist and then returning to session the following week and sharing how my new knowledge/strategy/skill worked out for me. I am happy to suggest goals, ideas, strategies, skills, or resources depending on your need. Or I am happy to listen to you while you work out your own thoughts & feelings.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over 12 years of experience. I provide an atmosphere of trust and comfort where clients feel at ease. My style of therapy is engaging, warm and goal-oriented. Others have described me as authentic, genuine, non-judgmental and empathic. I work with adolescents and adults who are struggling with a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, school/work related challenges, family conflict, relationship issues, life transition issues and parenting difficulties. I believe there is no “one size fits all” form of treatment. I work collaboratively with my clients to help them find the necessary tools to grow, develop, and achieve their goals. I am skilled in a variety of interventions including the evidenced based approaches of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I draw from these approaches, depending on my client’s goals and what I deem will be most effective. I received my Masters in Clinical Counseling at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I practiced and trained in Chicago for 9 years before moving to Indiana. Prior to starting my private practice, I worked in various settings including psychiatric hospitals, partial hospitalization programming, intensive outpatient programming, within a group practice and a community mental health center.
