My patients are typically looking for therapy to address concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. They are also often looking for support with evidence-based medication treatment. I listen carefully to understand the difficulties that bring someone to treatment and to understand their goals. I am collaborative in my approach. I approach psychotherapy from a psychodynamic perspective, where the goal is to increase understanding and insight into thoughts, feelings, and behavior. When we can understand ourselves better, we can then change patterns that may be getting in our way. This type of therapy can often lead to lasting change.
