Allan Stevenson
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) helping adults ages 18 to 65+. With experience in residential (RTC) and therapeutic approaches, my specialties include guiding patients through struggles with severe substance abuse, process addictions, personality disorders, and severe mental health issues, as well as depression, anxiety, life transitions, suicidal ideations, and finding purpose in life. Through an open-minded, person-centered, and challenging approach tailored to your unique needs and goals, I empower you to live a value-oriented life, learn more about yourself, and face life challenges head on. In every session, I aim to challenge you in your thinking by being honest with yourself and seeing things from a different perspective. I believe in every person's potential for change and growth. That’s why I assure you of a safe, nonjudgmental and uplifting environment where you are both challenged and supported to aid in acceptance and realize lasting growth. Together, we achieve this through a mix of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to obtain your goals, build insight, and possess tangible skills. A lifelong interest in psychology led me to the path to becoming a therapist. This passion became my calling in life, while my life experiences put me right where I belong working in this profession. Outside the office, I enjoy traveling, exploring the DMV with friends, and recreational sports leagues. In fact, in a not-too-distant part of my life, I was an MMA and Muay Thai fighter, having spent the past 4 years fighting competitively along with 3 years boxing in my undergraduate years.

Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming. You might worry if you will be accepted for who you are, or be able to trust them with your story without feeling judged. These are real concerns, and reaching out takes courage. I’m here to offer a safe, LGBTQ+-affirming space where you can feel heard, supported, and free to be yourself. My specialty centers on individual therapy with adults and adolescents, ages 16 and up, including in-person and telehealth sessions. I also have extensive experience supporting teens and adults navigating coping with ADHD, mood and anxiety issues, and pet loss. Together, we’ll explore the challenges you're facing, identify what matters most to you, and create a path toward healing and growth. Your journey truly matters to me, and I would be honored to support you along the way. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a session, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m here and look forward to the opportunity to work together. I take a warm and collaborative approach grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and drawing from Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Internal Family Systems to create a safe and evidence-based space to work toward meaningful change. Goal setting, challenging negative thoughts and beliefs, motivation to change, relaxation, grounding, and mindfulness are just some of the tools I teach to help you cope with anxiety, depression, and feeling overwhelmed. Before becoming a licensed professional counselor, I was a news features writer for weekly publications. Interviewing people from different backgrounds, each with a story to tell, helped to develop my listening skills. Similarly, working as contact tracer during the COVID-19 pandemic offered an experience that deepened my empathy and commitment to helping others. I incorporate these unique perspectives into my practice now, ensuring openness and authenticity in every session, which helps me be an effective and supportive collaborator at all times. When I’m not in session, I’m most often enjoying my hobbies and passions, including knitting, cats, and reading, especially mysteries and psychological thrillers.
Lexi Gross Counseling PLLC
My clients are exhausted and overwhelmed like you. They are tired of doing their best to keep all these balls (school, work, parenting, relationships, self-care, health and wellbeing, sleep + more) up in the air (even though admittedly they are pretty darn good at it). But when they inevitably drop a few because something else pops up or they get tired, life feels messy and they are quick to place judgements on themselves. My clients are expert problem solvers and doers, who in the face of stress, just keep going. Some are the type of person who the people in their life lean on for support. Some have tried a number of ways to fix or problem solve their way our of their emotions or exhaustion. They find their coping to work for a little bit but aren't moving them towards the life they imagined for themselves. Some realize they aren't sure they can keep up with all of what needs to be done to feel "okay". When some of my clients do take time for themselves or the rest they need, their mind struggles with feeling guilty, worrying about what they "should" be doing for work/school/person (fill in the blank with any responsibility). I help my clients get clearer on their wants, needs, and values while addressing some of the downfalls that come with always doing, fixing, and over functioning. I approach my work with clients through use of Acceptance Commitment Therapy and Somatic Experiencing. These two approaches help support internal reflection and clarity along with experiential, skills-based, and mindfulness practices.
Exposure Therapy Designs
If someone asked you not to think for 10 minutes how hard would that be? Is overthinking about the “What Ifs” driving you to relentlessly check things over and over again? Are you determined to find certainty in an uncertain world? Do you frequently ask others repeatedly if something or someone is going to be OK? No matter how much you do a task or say a particular thing does peace of mind elude you? Does the compulsion to handwash, re-read, double-check, pray, or re-arrange items never provide lasting relief? Do you find yourself burdened by intrusive thoughts that strike against your will and preoccupy your mind for hours a day? OCD is characterized by unabating obsessions matched with intense mental or behavioral rituals to relieve the anxiety provoked. It is not treated by “talk therapy” but with Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Through customized gradual exposures, ERP is an evidence-based method of intervention to reduce the severity of OCD symptoms. Exposure Therapy Designs is a telehealth practice that focuses on providing EMDR and ERP for individuals struggling with OCD and PTSD. Our clinicians offer evidence and strengths-based counseling with multicultural sensitivity. We are solutions-oriented and practice from a Solutions Focused Brief Therapy Model. ERP is a collaborative and creative approach to learning new skills and strategies to become comfortable with uncertainty and more confident in your ability to handle life’s unexpected challenges. My style is compassionate, client-centered, and culturally sensitive. Licensed in California and Massachusetts. Registered Out-of-State Telehealth provider for Florida. Research indicates that approximately 40 to 60 percent of OCD conditions have a trauma onset. Often talking about the trauma(s) can retraumatize a person. For that reason, Eye Movement and Desensitization Response (EMDR) and the Flash Technique are evidence-based treatment interventions utilized to resolve the severity of PTSD symptoms. Our treatment focus is on neurodivergent issues and gifted learners. Therapeutic style is evidenced and strength based, multiculturally sensitive, solutions oriented, client centered, and collaborative. You are the expert on you. Our role is to facilitate and support an awareness of how to implement changes to overcome unhelpful patterns in thinking and decision-making. We strive to see the whole person not just a list of symptoms. Understanding your unique background is key because therapy is not a cookie-cutter approach. Our team includes providers who are Certified Level One Solutions Focused Therapists and received specialized training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Habit Reversal Training (HRT). We also have clinicians who have completed Basic training in EMDR and the Flash Technique. We work with individuals experiencing neurodivergent issues, gifted learners, individuals coping to manage life transitions, women’s mental health issues around shifting roles in family and career, and immigration/re-entry adjustment stressors. We have licensed therapists who can see individuals residing in California, Florida, Massachusetts and Virginia. However our Associate Clinicians are only able to see residents of California at this time. Individuals who have Aetna, Kaiser Permanente, Lyra, SpringHealth, or Sutter EAP benefits are able to use their health plan coverage to pay for sessions with our licensed clinician only. For everyone else we work with Mentaya, a platform that helps clients get money back on out-of-network therapy sessions. If you have out-of-network benefits, Mentaya will file claims and handle the insurance paperwork to make sure you get reimbursed. They charge a 5% fee per claim and have helped people get thousands of dollars back per year. You can sign up using this link: https://app.mentaya.com/register?p=XqKyUZD7e4vJZUJ89P3c Note: Mentaya's goal is to save you time and money. It's completely optional, and as your therapist, I do not benefit in any way from your participation. **Sliding scale rates available on a limited cash pay-only basis with our Associate Clinicians**

Jamie Parker - Therapist
Seeking therapy is often part of a painful journey. Things a person did on their own for their mental health & to connect with others have not worked. Sadness & fear interferes with their work & relationships. For some people seeking therapy, alcohol & drugs provide temporary relief from suffering; however, those behaviors sometimes cause further damage. It’s hard for them to accept compliments & they feel uncomfortable in their own skin, even after achieving things that are supposed to be fulfilling. They meet interesting, loving people, & they find it very hard to get close to them, leading to more isolation. I offer an opportunity for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, & past – to plan for things to be different in the future. I create a healing relationship with my clients, a refuge of clinically-sound & heart-driven support. Experience has taught me that people are much more than their symptoms – they are human beings dealing with human problems. If you’ve decided to try therapy, then I’m ready to work with you. In addition to working with people struggling with mental health & relationships, I am passionate about providing "outside help" to members of AA, DDA, NA, SMART Recovery, & other programs. Please call me today so we can schedule our first session and get you on the road to feeling better.

As a Resident in Counseling, I help children, adolescents, and adults navigate emotional challenges, strengthen relationships, and improve their overall well-being, with particular focus on anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. No matter what you’re facing, I meet you with empathy, authenticity, and respect, which helps me be a trusted, collaborative partner throughout the healing process. I look forward to supporting you with compassionate, person-centered, and evidence-based counseling as you build resilience, develop healthy coping strategies, and work toward a more fulfilling and balanced life in our work together. I'm passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where you feel empowered to heal and grow. My approach is compassionate and collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs, goals, and life experiences to ensure you always feel heard, respected, and understood. Treatment may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, and more to help you develop effective coping skills, gain insight, and create meaningful, lasting change. My path to becoming a therapist began with a deep interest in understanding how life's experiences shape emotional well-being and resilience. Through my education, clinical training, and work with diverse patients, this passion grew into a commitment to helping others navigate life's challenges with confidence and hope. Now, I remain committed to providing compassionate, culturally responsive, and evidence-based care. I bring empathy, curiosity, and a collaborative approach to each session, striving to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes. Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy staying active through Pilates, expressing my creativity through arts and crafts, and trying new experiences that broaden my perspective. Spending quality time with my loved ones and traveling to explore different cultures, traditions, and ways of life are important to me as well. These experiences help me stay grounded, curious, and connected, and they continue to shape the empathy and openness I bring to my work with patients.

Dr. Jennifer Marceron
Dr. Marceron’s approach is empathetic and client-centered and she uses evidence-based practices (treatment modalities that are supported by research) tailored to meet the needs and interests of her clients. Dr. Marceron is active and engaged in her sessions and her personality is informal yet professional. Her clients describe her as approachable, non-judgemental, and warm. She focuses on helping her clients gain an understanding of and learn how to improve/cope with their symptoms such that their initial concerns no longer hold them back in personal goals. She finds the most success with clients who are willing to: try new things, consider new perspectives, take action on topics discussed in sessions, and provide feedback about what works well in the therapeutic work and what does not. Dr. Marceron values collaborative work, meaning she values feedback in the therapeutic process and will make adjustments depending on what works well for you. Often, Dr. Marceron will work with her clients to identify “homework” to try outside of session. For example, if you discuss feeling dismissed by your partner, you and Dr. Marceron may come up with strategies for having a conversation with your partner about how you feel and what to ask for moving forward. In her work with you, Dr. Marceron will pledge her empathy, honesty, and fidelity to be with you every step of the way. Dr. Marceron completed several of her training positions in college counseling centers and greatly enjoys working with college and graduate students. Dr. Marceron believes therapy can be a helpful tool to cope with stressors, enhance relationship quality, reduce unpleasant psychological symptoms, and achieve life goals. She also believes that therapy can be helpful to enhance quality of life and help her clients reach their maximum potential!
Drew Dixon Karris, Psy.D.
I work with autistic people who are navigating isolation, depression, and anxiety. I also work with disordered eating and gender dysphoria. At the heart of my work is a commitment to practicing psychological flexibility, the ability to stay present, connect with what matters most, and take action aligned with your values, even when it’s difficult. This allows us to shift from rigid patterns of coping into more empowering ways of engaging. I offer comprehensive psychological testing for autism, ADHD, learning differences, eating disorders, and mood-related issues. I provide evaluations for school/work accommodations and gender-affirming care. You can expect me to approach therapy and assessment from a neurodivergent-affirming, gender diversity-affirming, and body liberation lens. I recognize that many experiences of distress are deeply tied to systems of marginalization, and I strive to create a space where all aspects of your identity are welcomed and honored.
Elizabeth Mass
I offer virtual, individual psychotherapy to clients located in Washington DC, Virginia, and Florida. All sessions are individually tailored to not only help you gain skills to relieve your symptoms, but also to develop insight into unhelpful patterns, so you can live a more fulfilling and peaceful life that aligns with your values. I am an intentional integrationist, which is a fancy way of saying I am trained in many therapeutic approaches to help you based on your needs, experiences, preferences, and style of learning. This allows me to offer a tailored approach that is just right for you. Often, clients don’t know exactly what they want or need from a therapist. I listen closely to how you describe the concerns bringing you to therapy, what you’ve tried, what you want to change about your life, and when you are at your best—all to determine the optimal approach to treatment. My experience with myriad interventions allows me to be highly flexible and pivot quickly based on your ongoing feedback. You can expect us to continually explore what is working well, how we are tracking toward your goals, and what, if anything, you want to change to optimize what you're getting from therapy. I see clients as the “pilot” of the metaphorical journey of therapy, and myself as an expert co-pilot and navigator. You decide where we go, our speed, and when to “refuel,” while I help provide the most efficient way to reach your chosen destination. Sometimes clients change their mind about their destination mid-journey. That’s okay! I am right there to help us change course smoothly. My goal is to help you to feel heard, empowered, supported, and above all to feel better. My technical approach to therapy is informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), as well as relational and psychodynamic models of therapy. As a clinical social worker, my therapeutic style is client-centered, trauma-informed, and is guided by the multicultural, strengths, and person-in-environment perspectives. Regardless of the customized treatment plan I employ, building and tending to a trusting therapeutic relationship with you is at the heart of what I do. In every session, you can expect a warm, collaborative, inclusive approach that honors your lived experiences, embraces your strengths, and is identity-affirming for clients of all backgrounds. I’m honored you’re considering me as a partner on your wellness journey. If you’re ready to take the first step toward positive change, email me today to schedule a free 15-30 minute consultation to see if I’m a good fit to be your therapist. I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
