I am a Harvard-trained, Harvard-affiliated, board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist. I strongly believe that the best psychiatric care is centered on the whole person, not just on a diagnosis or a specific medication. I provide weekly therapy and work with patients to determine if medications can be of help. I do not believe that everyone needs a medication, but they can be useful in treating particular psychiatric symptoms; I will work with you in order to find the best treatment modality that meets your goals and needs. My training in psychotherapy includes psychodynamic psychotherapy, play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), Exposure/Response Prevention (Ex/RP) and Prolonged Exposure (PE). I provide psychotherapy for children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. In order to offer comprehensive treatment, I do not accept insurance in my private practice. I am currently conducting sessions via telemedicine only. Lighthouse Family Counseling serves children ages 6 years and up, adolescents, families, couples, adults, and seniors. Lighthouse accepts insurance. Lighthouse Family Counseling has a total of sixteen counselors, each ranging in experience. Many have licenses and more than 15 to 25 years in the field. We have a variety of counselors with a range of experiences and backgrounds. Our counselors vary in ages which is a benefit to the population that we serve. Every counselor brings their own unique background of expertise to the group; for example, trauma work, LGBTQ+ focused care, CBT, solution focused, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, DBT, men's issues, women's issues, etc. Our counselors work a hybrid model of office and telehealth, while a few counselors prefer telehealth only. Lighthouse Family Counseling is open by appointment only 7 days a week based on the counselor's availability, 9am to 8pm.

Rebecca Agnew is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been practicing therapy with adults for over 15 years. Utilizing client-centered therapy, she integrates practical feedback, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral, and acceptance and commitment based therapeutic techniques to create an individualized approach for each client. Kristen is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor working her way toward independent licensure. She enjoys working with individuals ages 6 to 60 across an array of mental health diagnoses and areas of concern, whether in individual or family contexts. She adopts an integrated approach to her therapeutic style, pulling from several evidenced-based models of counseling, largely utilizing elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and its derivatives as well as Psychodynamic and Humanistic theoretical models. Through this, she recognizes the need for and ensures that each client and/or family has a tailored plan to address their concerns and achieve their goals. Kristen is also motivated to specialize further in trauma-focused care, especially for individuals struggling to cope with grief, ADHD, and Autism. In her free time, she loves engaging creatively by painting, drawing, and making jewelry; and spending time with friends and loved ones including her cat Monroe.

Kimberly Hoff, MA, LPC, NCC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Newtown, PA as well as virtually in New Jersey and Connecticut. Kim graduated from Rider University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate program. During her time at Rider, she conducted research focusing on school counselors’ approaches to treating disordered eating and trauma. Kim also received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Clinical & Counseling Psychology from The College of New Jersey (TCNJ), where she also conducted extensive research into the intersection of trauma and eating disorders. Kim has published in the American Association of School Counselors magazine, and has facilitated presentations on eating disorders in university and high school settings. Kim also works as a trained facilitator with the National Alliance for Eating Disorders running virtual support groups for those struggling and their loved ones. Kim’s therapeutic style is informed by her lived experiences of eating disorder recovery and as a member of the queer community. She strives to create an affirming, comfortable environment for each of her clients and empowers them to become their best selves. Kim views counseling as a collaborative process in which she assists clients in creating positive change and growth, while recognizing their personal strengths.
