I believe a therapist's job is to help people get "unstuck." All behavior serves a purpose. Even the most painful or confusing patterns often began as ways to cope with overwhelming circumstances. In therapy, we'll explore these parts of yourself and work to deepen self-awareness. Over time, you will come to recognize that while your emotional responses once made perfect sense, they may no longer serve you in the same way. Therapy is not about erasing or lingering in the past, but about making meaning from it. At the heart of my work is a belief in the healing power of feeling truly seen, heard, and understood. Together, we’ll turn inward with curiosity and compassion so you can move through the world with greater clarity, coherence, and connection.

Gen Z and Millennial women are often bombarded with difficult life transitions such as adulting, relationship distress, quarter-life crises, career pursuits, parenting, caregiving, and more. This can be a lot to manage! Societal pressures plus the changing roles of women in this age group require a focused, feminist, and knowledgable approach. It can be tricky searching for the right therapist, so I appreciate you being here in the first place. My approach is fine-tuned, using radical genuineness, to help you learn how to manage these unique stressors while maintaining authenticity and calm. I am practiced in several targeted therapies that meet the needs of women in transition including mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, and ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy). In my personal experience, I have come to view change as the only constant, which is why I find great value in being able to help my clients through significant life transitions. Looking back at the clients I've served over the years, I have been able to find something about every one of them that I admire. I love meeting my clients where they are and seeing how I can support their walk through life in a genuine, non-judgmental, and meaningful way. In my years of experience I have come to realize so much about living in the world robs us of our ability to acknowledge our own magic. Therapy should be a safe place for you to begin to reclaim that magic and learn how to discover your own power. By using a "bottom to top" approach to identify how long held, negative beliefs, have kept you reliving and repeating the past, you can finally live in the present. I provide a safe, non judgemental space for you to work through trauma and reclaim the power inherent in you.

Together, we’ll explore what’s going on in your life, build tools to manage stress and emotions, and help you move toward the version of yourself and your life that feels most authentic and meaningful. I’m especially passionate about working with college students because I remember how complex and overwhelming that time can be. Hello, I'm a mental health counselor licensed in the state of NY. I have worked in community mental health since 2015 in both clinic and primary care medical settings. My clients have presented a wide range of concerns, including: depression, anxiety, OCD, grief, substance abuse, capitalism, fascism, and adjustment to life after incarceration. Regardless of what issues bring you to therapy, I work from the assumption that YOU are not the problem. Rather, the situation is the problem, and we work together to transform it. This process often involves shifting your view, giving yourself grace, and deepening compassion for yourself. Before graduate school, I was a community organizer and activist addressing issues of social, ecological, and economic concern; my undergraduate degrees are in Community Health and Peace and Justice Studies. I often use a systems perspective to address problems, and I have experience working with trauma related to systemic harm and oppression. I strive to be supportive and curious in my role as a counselor. Working in this field means that I learn (and unlearn) every day. I am honored to walk alongside the people who invite me into their lives, and I do my best to offer honesty and compassion in a safe and respectful way. I value broad access to psychotherapy and gladly offer a sliding fee scale.
