Welcome! I work with adolescents and young adults with trauma, anxiety and depression. Many are struggling to navigate family relationships during life transitions or identity shifts. As a writer, I enjoy working with artists as they navigate creative blocks. I practice from a psychodynamic approach, drawing heavily on attachment theory and relational strengths. I’m a licensed therapist who works with adults and young adults navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, and times when you just feel stuck or unsure about what’s next. I aim to provide a steady, supportive space where you can talk openly and feel heard without judgment. You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting—therapy can be a place to sort things out as you go. I see therapy as a collaborative and practical process. My role is to listen, ask thoughtful questions, and help you better understand what’s getting in your way. Together, we’ll focus on what matters most to you and work toward meaningful, realistic change. I often use approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you build tools you can actually use day to day—whether that’s managing stress, getting out of your own head, or feeling more confident in your decisions. We can take things at your pace, and there’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready for. I began my career doing street outreach with individuals experiencing homelessness in Washington, DC. That experience shaped how I approach this work today—it taught me the importance of meeting people where they are, showing up consistently, and creating a space built on respect and trust. Outside of therapy, I enjoy going to the movies with friends, staying active, and spending time in the park. I also like trying new restaurants around the city.
I'm Coley Woodward, LMHC, founder of Psyberspace Center for Psychedelic Therapy. I help high-achieving individuals and couples break free from trauma, anxiety, and burnout using evidence-based approaches that go beyond traditional talk therapy. As a Certified EMDR Therapist and Consultant-in-Training, I specialize in complex PTSD, attachment wounds, addiction, and relationship repair. I integrate EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) to create lasting change — not just insight. My style is direct, warm, and relational; I meet you where you are while gently challenging patterns that keep you stuck. Whether you're in New York, New Jersey, California, or Georgia, I offer virtual sessions nationwide and in-person care in Manhattan.
My approach begins with curiosity and non-judgment. Together we will create a space where we can talk about anything whether that may be sexuality, gender identity, disability, or family trauma. I believe that the healing is rooted within the relationship. As someone who lives with chronic pain, I want to hold space for the challenges that individuals face when managing their own care while celebrating the often ignored strengths it takes to do so. I understand that we live hectic lives that require flexibility and compassion but that therapy also thrives when there is structure and challenge. Together, we will work to understand what unique challenges you are facing in your present, that may be influenced by pieces of your history. By gaining a deeper sense of yourself and tuning out the outside noise, you become more attuned to your own inner compass to guide yourself when facing life’s many opportunities and challenges. Everyone is unique, so please feel free to reach out to schedule an initial consultation to explore how therapy can be a helpful tool in your journey.
I believe that all of us have had some challenges in our lives whether that translates to bigger traumas or smaller hardships. As a result of our challenges, we have beliefs about who we are and our place in the world. I use evidence-based practices including EMDR to identify and manage triggers that may manifest in fear, anxiety, and negative beliefs about who we are and what we deserve. Let me help you break free from your People-Pleasing, Perfectionist, and/or Procrastinating tendencies and find peace with being your authentic self.
My mission is to help each client I see to achieve lasting change through greater self-awareness, and enhanced knowledge of and ability to use skills to manage emotions, tolerate distress, communicate more effectively, and manage life’s challenges and stressors in more helpful ways. I am a warm, emotionally engaged therapist who will make you feel comfortable and understood. I am open and direct, and you will be able to tell instantly that you are in the room with someone who really wants to help you be your best self. Clients tell me that I am approachable and easy to talk to. I have 20 years of experience helping people who are struggling in one or multiple areas of their lives, and I believe that each client needs and deserves a personalized approach targeted to their own personality style, problems, and goals.
Hi, I’m Kelsey (she/her). As a psychotherapist, I encourage open communication and reflection, creating a space where we can navigate your unique experiences, including anxiety, relationship patterns, self-exploration, disordered eating, obsessive thoughts, family dynamics, and life transitions. With a foundation in a relational approach, I view the therapeutic relationship as an essential tool for exploring relational patterns, attachment, and opportunities for healing and change. I have a passion for supporting individuals within the LGBTQIA+ community and warmly welcome clients of all identities, recognizing how gender, race, sexuality, and privilege shape our mental health and experiences. My approach is holistic, trauma-focused and person-centered, drawing from Psychodynamic Theory, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) Model, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and somatic work. I’m looking forward to getting to know you as we work together.
Adolescence and adulthood can be exciting and overwhelming. Navigating academic pressures, identity exploration, relationship challenges, or major life transitions can be daunting to tackle on your own. I specialize in supporting adolescents, young adults, and their families as they face anxiety, depression, trauma, identity concerns, and the stress of achievement and belonging. My experience working as an assistant dean of admission at Princeton University, coupled with my counseling experience at Princeton’s counseling and psychological center, and working in an independent K-12 school, has informed my deep understanding of the pressures students and families face in academic, social, and developmental spaces. In therapy, we’ll explore moments of vulnerability and discomfort that can contribute to self-doubt and isolation. I work collaboratively with individuals and families to uncover ways to strengthen communication and bring clarity to relational dynamics. My goal is to create an affirming space rooted in empathy and cultural humility, where you develop tools towards empowerment and rediscover your authentic self. I take an integrative and trauma-informed approach, grounded in person-centered, culturally responsive, and strength-based care. I draw from CBT with a multicultural and feminist lens, working with individuals from diverse backgrounds who may be navigating their gender and sexuality, cultural, and intersectional identities. Whether you're exploring therapy for the first time or continuing your journey, I am committed to making mental health care approachable and welcoming for everyone.
Psychotherapy lays the emotional groundwork that leads to a more happy and satisfying life. Many people think of psychotherapy, especially some kinds of traditional psychotherapy, as one-sided: the person in therapy talks and the therapist listens. But effective psychotherapy – therapy that heals – works because of the unique relationship that develops between the therapist and the person in therapy. I provide an environment that, because it is safe and non-judgmental, allows the person in therapy to open up in new and often unexpected ways and to experience and express his or her deepest thoughts and feelings. I use more than one therapeutic discipline, but my approach is ultimately tailored to the needs of the person I am working with. I help people become more emotionally self-aware so that they can experience greater self-esteem and satisfaction in life, better deal with depression, and cope with the anxiety that so often interferes with their sense of well-being. In addition to psychotherapy, I am a certified hypnotherapist and offer hypnotherapy to the people I work with. I am also available for hypnotherapy referrals as an adjunct from other clinicians. For safety concerns I am currently working online and by phone.
With ten years of experience as a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I help individuals facing chronic stress and survivors of trauma navigate emotional regulation and recovery, leading to long-term healing. Additional specialties include treating depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, and bipolar disorder in children, adolescents, and adults. My work is grounded in providing thoughtful, evidence-based care that supports individuals and families across the lifespan. I believe in collaboration and shared decision-making at all times, which helps me be an engaged partner in your care. I look forward to helping you gain clarity, confidence, and a sense of agency as we move through this process together. I'm passionate about making mental health care accessible, clear, and empowering for every patient. That’s why I ensure a holistic approach that’s thoughtful, thorough, data-driven, compassionate, and patient-centered, so care is tailored to your unique life experience and goals. Working together, you can expect a compassionate and non-judgmental environment that empowers your healing journey. My specialties are in comprehensive psychiatric care and medication management, providing you with the tools and best-practice guidelines that help you achieve your personal, professional, and familial goals. My path to becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner began in my early 20s, when I worked as a direct support provider for adolescents with autism spectrum disorder and their families. Supporting families as they navigated the challenges of daily life and witnessing their struggle to access high-quality psychiatric care for their family members inspired me to pursue advanced training in psychiatric nursing. Those early experiences shaped my understanding of what compassionate, accessible mental health care can mean for individuals and their families. That formative period continues to deepen my commitment to providing the kind of thoughtful, individualized psychiatric care every person deserves today. I enjoy playing guitar and love experiencing live music across all genres. Ice hockey is another passion of mine, and I'm an avid movie fan who appreciates everything from indie films to big screen blockbusters.

People come to therapy for a lot of reasons, but many feel like they need a change from how things are. Some don’t know what it is that needs to change, and they want more insight about what new roads they might try walking down. Others know exactly the changes they want to make in their lives, but they need a safe place to say it out loud to themselves, and they want help along the way. Some can’t change their situation and still yearn to be at peace. Regardless of what brought you to session, my goal during our time together is to work with you to help you identify obstacles in your path. My style is empowering, warm, and pragmatic. I work with people to manage their challenging experiences and connect with the life they want. I use cognitive behavior and acceptance and commitment therapy techniques. I provide comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations, and specialize in evaluating for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorders and autism. I don't know you yet, but I'm excited to get to know you and help you come to a greater understanding of your values and getting you back to living the life you'd like to be living.

Whether you're working through difficult emotions or simply looking to improve daily functioning and personal growth, I'm here to help you find your footing and build the skills to move forward. Specializing in play therapy and person-centered approaches, I believe in meeting you exactly where you are. Together, we'll discover what works for you and develop practical tools that support your personal growth and daily life. Our sessions are built on safety, collaboration, and genuine understanding. Using play therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), we'll work together to explore your emotions, strengthen your coping skills, and build the confidence to navigate challenges more independently. Warm and nurturing by nature, I tailor my approach to your unique needs and goals. Every person who comes to me deserves a welcoming, affirming, and nonjudgmental space, and that's exactly what I strive to create. Whether you're a child, teen, or adult, I'm committed to being a trustworthy partner throughout your care, helping you feel more empowered in your everyday life. My path to becoming a therapist began long before graduate school. As a teenager, working with children gave me my first real sense of how meaningful it is to support someone through a hard moment. Paired with my studies in psychology, those early experiences revealed a clear passion: helping others navigate challenges and grow into themselves. That foundation has stayed with me ever since. In every session, I bring empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to connect with each person I work with, because person-centered care isn't just a practice model to me. It's a commitment. When I'm not working, you might find me reading, playing video games, hooked on a crochet project, or enjoying a Broadway show.

Welcome to my practice. I am a licensed clinical psychologist with offices in Manhattan and Brooklyn, New York. I have practiced individual and couple therapy with adults independently since 2005. With extensive experience and advanced training in both the cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic traditions, I specialize in helping individuals who struggle in stormy relationships, those who feel lonely or isolated, and those who too often feel frustrated and disappointed by themselves and their interactions with others, including in past experiences of psychotherapy. They may have experienced trauma or other early life stress, and may feel anxious and depressed. They may have been diagnosed with mood or personality disorders. Some have struggled to stay alive. I follow an integrative model comprised of cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic approaches. I completed intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and have practiced it extensively since 2005. I try to help people explore how their early experiences may still be affecting their thoughts, feelings and actions, and to try out alternatives. Before shifting to a fully independent practice in 2016, I was a supervising psychologist in a specialized program for the treatment of personality disorders. There I led DBT and interpersonal process groups, conducted individual therapy and assessments and supervised psychology interns. I welcome people from all backgrounds into my practice. I have found that a close examination of cultural, religious, gender and other factors can illuminate a person's current ways of thinking, feeling and behaving.
