It's completely normal to feel overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure of what you're experiencing. You don't have to navigate these feelings alone. I can help with a wide range of challenges you might be facing, from social and general anxiety, to perfectionism, depression, and mood dysregulation. We can explore difficulties with peer and family relationships, address concerns around substance use, work through the impact of trauma, navigate questions about gender and sexual identity, and manage chronic stress. The list goes on. As a professional, I understand the pressures and unique demands of college life. My goal is to provide you with a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space. A space where you can truly talk, be heard, and begin to understand what's going on.

As a therapist my very first priority is to ensure a safe environment free from judgment and filled with positive regard. Together we can explore varying perspectives and possibilities throughout your life experiences and the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors attached to those experiences. I hope to empower you to engage with life intentionally and with meaning and to care for yourself along the way. Sessions are meant to be your time to invest in yourself, and to learn. In counseling I use a responsive approach, meaning, we will use pieces of different counseling theories that will best fit your goals and needs. The concepts that I use most include theories surrounding CBT (cognitive behavioral theory), systems theory, interpersonal relationship models, neuroplasticity, motivational interviewing, and narrative therapy. The space I cultivate is intended to be a laid back opportunity to find what works for you. With recognition that you know yourself and your experiences better than anyone else, that means you run the show at the end of the day. It is with this understanding that I mean to be an ally and resource on your path to knowledge and change.

I help clients get to know themselves closely. Early adulthood, coming off the chaos of adolescence, is a tough time, exacerbated by this extraordinarily tough time in the world. Working with me means sitting together and listening very carefully to you. As we listen together on a journey to discern your true self, we will hear many voices. Memories will surface. Feelings will come up. By exploring yourself in our treatment relationship, you can come to relate to yourself in a new way and gain clarity, confidence, and peace that you can handle what life brings. I specialize in psychodynamic treatment.

College can be one of the most exciting and overwhelming seasons of your life. You may be adjusting to being away from home, navigating new relationships, questioning your major, managing academic pressure, or quietly carrying anxiety, depression, or past trauma that hasn’t had space to heal. On the outside, it can look like everyone else is handling it just fine — but inside, you might feel stuck, exhausted, unmotivated, or unsure of who you’re becoming. If you’re in that space, you’re not alone. And you don’t have to work through it by yourself. I work with college students who are in the middle of real life transitions — identity shifts, relationship changes, academic stress, family expectations, grief, trauma, and the quiet weight of self-doubt. Depression during college often doesn’t look like “sad all the time.” It can show up as procrastination, isolation, low motivation, difficulty focusing, or feeling disconnected from the person you used to be. Trauma can show up in relationships, in trust, in sleep, or in how hard you are on yourself. Together, we slow things down. We make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface. We identify patterns that are keeping you stuck and build practical tools that help you feel more steady, confident, and grounded. My approach is collaborative and straightforward. I don’t believe in sitting back silently while you struggle to find words. We talk. We process. We challenge unhelpful thoughts. We work through emotional blocks. I integrate approaches such as CBT, trauma-informed care, and other evidence-based strategies to help you build resilience while honoring your story. My goal is not just symptom relief — it’s helping you understand yourself better so you can move forward with clarity and confidence. College is a time of growth — but growth can feel uncomfortable. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, numb, stuck, or unsure about your direction, therapy can be a space to reset and regain momentum. You deserve support as you figure out who you are and who you want to become. If you’re ready to take the next step, I invite you to Request an Initial Appointment and begin therapy. You don’t have to wait until things get worse. Let’s work together to help you regain balance, rebuild confidence, and move through this season with strength.

You make it look so easy, but you are tired. Whether at work, at school, with family or with friends, you are often the person keeping everything together. No matter the task, you will get it done, but it has been exhausting putting your feelings and needs aside for the sake of everyone else. You know you need something different, but you aren’t sure what. The thought of saying “no” or revealing that you don’t have it all together is too scary. Oftentimes liberation is on the other side of scary… and you deserve liberation! I have a relaxed & casual approach. I believe genuine human connection is foundational to mental health and that with the encouragement of an authentic relationship, a judgement-free space, & a willingness to be vulnerable- you can freely explore new ways of engaging with the world. I want to help you find that “something different” you've been looking for. Let's create a space where you don’t have to have it all together. A place where you can take a rest from all the juggling you’ve been doing. If any of this resonates, let’s connect. Therapy doesn’t have to be daunting–it’s a journey, but we will take it on together. You’ve got this. You already know what you need– so let’s help you get there!
