I see you as a whole person—not a problem to fix. In our work together, I honor your identity and abilities while also acknowledging the very real barriers, exhaustion, and inequities you may encounter every day. I am committed to providing Neuro- and LGBTQ+ affirming therapy on your terms and to meet you where you are. Whether you struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, focus and concentration, relationships, life transitions, or just being a human in the world today, you are welcome here--all of you. If you are the person, everyone turns to, who do YOU turn to? You give everything to everyone else but never have time for you. It gets tiring always being the ''strong'' one. I see you. You might be struggling to get through the day or question yourself and your worth. This can look like anxiety, depression, problems recovering from a traumatic experience as an adult or as a child. I want to help you know what you DESERVE. Find the life you want and be more in control of your thoughts, emotions, and choices. Let's look inward and do this difficult but deeply important and rewarding work together. Currently, I can see clients who reside in Pennsylvania, California and North Carolina.

Are you a young adult struggling to manage everything going on in your life? Do you feel like you're just not able to say no to people? Are you stuck in relationships and cycles that don't serve you anymore? Have you had painful experiences in your past that seem to keep popping up and affecting you currently? I was a young adult struggling with the same issues until I found a trusted therapist who saved my life. You shouldn't have to feel like the weight of the world is on your shoulders and you're struggling to stand. They say "You can't pour from an empty cup" - let's figure out how to replenish yours first. Together, we'll dig deep to work through the things that feel dark. I'll support you in discovering meaningful coping skills, exploring the values that are important to you, and understanding how to hold boundaries that help keep you safe. You'll learn to feel good about your decisions and confidently say no to what no longer serves you or lifts you up. Stop living within other people's comfort zones. It's time to take off the mask allow space for the whole, true "you" to arise. Reach out to me today for a free phone or video consultation to learn how you can take back control of your life and live more authentically to the person you want to be, not who others expect you to be.
I work with clients who are dealing with challenges related to life change and transition, self identity and growth, anxiety and stress. I am passionate about helping people discover their ability to find fulfillment while coping with pain and navigating struggle.
A lot of people say they knew at a young age they would be a therapist, but that wasn’t me. I grew up in a military family and thought I would continue that tradition and be a stay-at-home mom. Instead, I found myself in a journalism career and a marriage I didn’t like. Starting over after 30, I chose to return to school and pursue a degree in social work. Since then, I’ve worked with the military, in inpatient facilities, and in outpatient care. I love working with women who find themselves “outside the box” when it comes to societal expectations (child-free/childless, unmarried, or just a-plain-ol’ rebel). I love to focus on resiliency, self-improvement/self-esteem, personal growth, and even a bit of spirituality (if that's your thing). I'm a very laid-back, nontraditional therapist. I believe you are the expert in your own life and, sometimes, we just need some guidance or permission to do the things we know we need to do. I don't assign homework cause, frankly, I wouldn't do it if I were in your shoes, but I will suggest some tasks or actions that may be something to focus on between sessions. I also expect clients to show up with a discussion topic or something to start us off with; again, the time is yours to use as you feel best. I have very eclectic interests. Two things that are very important to me are spirituality and non-traditional relationships. I feel both have their own challenges and prejudices to overcome. I'm always looking for ways to include and incorporate my client's spiritual beliefs (if they choose to share) into sessions and help them build a strong foundation. Nontraditional relationships (including kink dynamics) can be a challenge to bring to therapy as there's often a perceived level of judgment—not here! I celebrate however your relationship looks and work to help you create the most nurturing and healthy relationship however that looks. One of my core values is curiosity, so I love it when I get to learn a little something from my clients. Having grown up in a military family that moved every three years like clockwork, learning about people and cultures has been a huge part of my life. I encourage my clients to practice showing and embodying their authenticity with me so they may go out into the world more confidently. I believe we all have something beautiful to share and learn from each other and I encourage those I work with to explore that on a deeper level.

Adjusting to a challenging academic and social environment is an exciting and often daunting prospect , drawing upon one's resilience and creative faculties. I especially enjoy working with energetic and open minded clients just setting out on life's journey. My job is simply to see your world through your eyes to the best of my ability and together discover your unique solutions to challenges in this most pivotal period of life. I subscribe to an eclectic mix of theoretical styles such as Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy as well as EMDR to address trauma memories and development of resources to set your path to success in whatever direction you value. Sometimes distractions and poor choices get in the way of our values. It is then that therapy can be most helpful.

Immediate availability! I specialize in women’s issues, relationship challenges, and supporting individuals and families impacted by autism or special needs. Using approaches like CBT, Gottman Methods, and EFT, I walk alongside you as you build healthier relationships and learn how reconnect with yourself and others. I practice through a HIPPA compliant Telehealth platform, which eliminates the need to find childcare and allows you to pursue counseling from the comfort of your own home. I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families facing life’s challenges, including relationship issues, autism, women’s issues, OCD, chronic illness, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I also specialize in parent coaching, ADHD, military families, and pre-marital and marriage counseling. My counseling approach focuses on building a genuine, trusting relationship with you, as that’s key to effective healing. I’m also happy to incorporate faith if it’s important to you. If you think we might be a good fit, I’d love to connect! In my free time, I enjoy being outside, a good cup of coffee, serving at church, baking, and listening to music.
