Hi! I am currently being credentialed with Blue Cross and Harvard Pilgrim, but the process is not complete yet. I expect to be able to take those insurances in late September. In the meantime, I am seeing people who have Blue Cross or Harvard Pilgrim for $50 a session, roughly the amount of a higher co-pay, until I can accept the insurance. Are you worried, concerned, stressed about school? Is it having an impact on your life? Is adjusting to being away from home for the first time a lot? Are you having a hard time with impending graduation and knowing what to do afterward? Are you looking for someone who can listen to you, create an environment where you can talk about things that are hard in your life, and is able to support you? I do a lot of work with anxiety and PTSD, body acceptance and liberation, life changes and adjustments, queer communities, people in higher education, and support people in relationship and communication challenges of all kinds. I offer a free thirty minute consultation to see if we are a good fit and if I can be helpful to you. For anyone who does not want to use insurance, my current fee for individual therapy is $200 a session. I can provide superbills, which are a way to recoup part or all of what you pay me through your insurance company. I can accept HSA and FSA cards. Please check out my website for much more information about me and how I work. I look forward to hearing from you!

I help clients impacted by anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, relationship concerns, sexual intimacy concerns, and identity-based stress. Together, we’ll explore how your various identities and lived experiences influence the way you navigate life and relationships. You will better understand yourself and develop the necessary skills to confidently face everyday challenges. I’m here to support you by recognizing and valuing all parts of who you are. My therapeutic approach is trauma-attuned, psychodynamic, relational, and social justice-oriented. I enjoy helping transgender and gender diverse clients explore their identity and experience more connection. I support clients seeking gender-affirming treatments/surgeries by collaborating with their medical providers. I also welcome folks from other diverse communities, including LGBTQ+, BIPOC, neurodiverse, and other underrepresented identities. Reaching out for support isn’t easy, especially if therapy hasn’t always felt made for you. I aim to offer a space where your full identity is welcomed and your voice has room to grow. Visit my website or get in touch with questions. I’d be glad to explore whether we’re a good fit. I provide therapy through Intersect Clinical Services, a preferred provider for Boston-area students. We accept UHC StudentResources and Aetna Student Health with minimal or no out-of-pocket costs.

We all encounter difficult stressors, setbacks and experiences that sometimes cause us pain. We may be challenged by our relationships, previous trauma, difficult transitions, depression or anxiety. We can make the choice to work through these events and grow even when things are hard and confusing. My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe place for you to explore your struggles, and give you objective feedback and guidance to help you improve your life. Whether you'd like to improve your mood, strengthen relationships or need support coping with a difficult circumstance I can help. Clinically, clients and I collaborate to reinforce adaptive behaviors, and understand your unique strengths so that you may live a meaningful and satisfying life. In therapy, we focus on both problem-solving difficult situations, as well as developing an understanding of long-term patterns that contribute to your distress.

I am a client-centered psychologist who works with adults and adolescents (13+). I believe therapy should involve the whole person - including our internal, social, societal, spiritual, and physical selves. I invite clients to be collaborators in finding and exploring what will help them achieve growth. I provide a warm, inclusive, and nonjudgmental environment and believe a strong client-therapist relationship is essential for growth and change. I integrate aspects of multiple therapeutic modalities, including behavioral approaches (CBT, DBT, behavioral medicine/health psychology), mindfulness-based interventions, humanism, existential, relational and developmental theory, motivational interviewing, and psychodynamic-informed care. I help patients/clients address a range of concerns including but not limited to: depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use struggles, difficulties in relationships, grief/loss, identifying life goals, navigating life transitions, and balancing work-life demands. I received my training at William James College (Newton, MA). Trained with Advocates Community Counseling, Rutgers University College Counseling, and Boston Behavioral Medicine. I completed a post-doctoral behavioral health fellowship at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates and worked there as a staff psychologist until October 2019. I have worked extensively in individual therapy, worked with adolescents and their caregivers, and have led mindfulness skills groups and anxiety skills groups. I am an ally and welcome all gender identities and sexualities.

You have learned how to survive and be strong, and still it can feel heavy. This is a space where all parts of you are welcome, without judgment. If you are feeling anxious, depressed, stressed, or emotionally drained, or struggling with your sense of self, identity, or relationships, you are in the right place. You are the expert of your own life. You can show up as you are to speak your truth, laugh, cry, curse, or simply just be. Progress in therapy looks different for everyone. For you, it could be feeling more insightful and equipped to manage daily life’s stressors. It could be having more patience and tolerance for others. It could be feeling more supported, confident, calm, and/or optimistic. It could be feeling like you have a greater sense of stability, and purpose. As a trauma survivor, I know how brave it is to start therapy. You matter. You are important. You deserve a peaceful and fulfilling life where you feel more empowered and in control. You do not have to face this journey alone. We will do it together, at your own pace, with practical strategies, real progress, and true healing.

I don’t believe we are meant to heal in isolation, and having a therapist you work well with can be an important step in that journey. I work with those experiencing anxiety, the impacts of trauma, navigating life transitions or identity exploration to feel a greater sense of stability and confidence, and compassion for themselves as they navigate life’s twists and turns. I am a queer therapist working with those in the LGBTQ+ community. I work to be culturally informed and de-colonial in my practice. I offer a warm, liberation-focused and non-judgmental approach to therapy that centers each person’s unique situation and needs. I draw from a variety of therapy styles allowing us to collaboratively find the treatment approach that is best suited to you. I believe that each person is the expert of their story and is going to know best what they need. My job is to help you get there. Reach out to schedule a consultation or appointment. I look forward to meeting you.

If you're looking for extra support through a challenging situation or want to move in a new direction in life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals. My approach is eclectic and individualized including (but not limited to) CBT, Strengths-Based Therapy, EMDR, Meditation/Mindfulness. Are you a diamond in the rough? I provide social psychologically informed therapy that looks concentratedly at each client's various emotions in context, how and why emotions arise in relationships and what they have to tell us. I help clients look at their complex feelings related to self, break ups, loss of connection, and unresolved grief or anger, and their positive feelings. I try to help clients persist at these times to discover unrealized strengths, better connections. I work with a sense of humor, realism and practicality. I hope my clients can feel secure and increasingly present, and make smarter, more conscious choices. I am a Licensed Psychologist. My education consists of a B.A. from Brown University, an M.L.A. in Social Psychology from Harvard University, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology.

My practice has always been focused on serving the BGLTQ+ Community, especially trans & gender diverse people, and polyamorous people. I tend to see a lot of geeky and neurodivergent people. My work as a therapist is informed by early training in both psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral therapy for anxiety disorders and depression, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy. My approach draws from the applications of mindfulness and self-compassion in psychotherapy, as well as feminist approaches such as Relational-Cultural therapy. Ultimately, I believe it is the relationship that heals, as well as learning to be a kind friend to oneself. I believe that good mental health means knowing you have choices and making them consciously (not which choices you make). (Please note if contacting me: it will save time if you include your insurance company and whether HMO or PPO.)
