Life can be incredibly stressful and lonely, at times, especially during the college years. I believe in the ability of therapy to help people heal and change. Often, this process starts when we feel at our lowest—lost and overwhelmed. An experienced therapist, I provide a warm, compassionate space to talk about the things that matter to you, explore what might be holding you back, and create a plan together to make the changes you desire. People say I put them at ease and quickly bring a new perspective to the way they have been thinking about a problem. I have a holistic, individualized approach—weaving together therapeutic interventions tailored to your unique needs. It would be an honor to help you navigate a difficult challenge or circumstance.
Looking to carve your own path? Perhaps get help from someone who can assist you with stress? If so, I provide comfortable, competent, and most importantly, an insightful therapy. I work with a plethora of diagnoses, and my ideal client is someone who is willing to try and to trust the process of getting better. Everyone’s road looks different and I’d like to help you traverse that path. I come from a martial arts background and my approach to therapy is the same: practice achieves mastery and perfect practice achieves it. Forge yourself a better tomorrow. Friday slots open, free 15 min consult to meet and see if we’re a good fit.
Each of us benefits from having someone to really listen to us and help us learn and grow to become more able to advocate for that which we need to find our balance. I am passionate about working with women around their unique challenges. I walk alongside my clients as they process their feelings and learn ways to communicate and cope during difficult times. Helping clients fill their “toolbox” using various modalities to build skills to cope and change how they think about various relationships and situations. Learning balance in life between work and home and helping others and self care is important in the healing process. Helping provide resources to assist clients on their journey. I would be honored to walk alongside you as you navigate the challenges you are facing. Please reach out to determine if we would be a good fit.

I consider the relationship between client and therapist one of the most important factors in therapy. As a therapist, my goal is to create a comfortable, non-judgmental space so I can assist others in exploring negative patterns in their lives and help them develop new tools to foster positive coping skills. I utilize a holistic approach to therapy, with special focus on the body and mind and how they interact. As a registered yoga teacher, my treatment approach places emphasis on turning inward and reconnecting with the body to help release stored emotions. I use a trauma-informed approach to life issues with clients and incorporate mindfulness skills, somatic movement, and breathwork into my therapy practice. I specialize in treating anxiety disorders, PTSD, and mood disorders. Additionally, I work with clients who are experiencing grief and loss, life transitions, addiction, caregiver stress, interpersonal/relationship problems, and codependency.

I specialize in supporting students who find the balance of social life, academics, and transitioning into adulthood to be challenging. Are you struggling to find ways to begin living a happier, secure, and fulfilled life or maybe a better handle on the current situation that keeps standing in the way of your goals? Let me help you through this process of seeking and promoting that self-love and examine your behaviors and how the behaviors of others impact you. You are in control! You have the strength, and you will have the answer! Life's too short to be unhappy, unsure, or unfulfilled. As a therapist, I believe in providing a space where you will feel secure and safe to share those thoughts that continue spinning in your head throughout the day. The way you form relationships with others, or your partner is a reflection of the healed or unhealed wounds you are carrying from your childhood experience. Our childhood wounds and conditions influence us more than we think. Healing these wounds helps us improve our self-worth, our standards, and our boundaries within ourselves and others. Sometimes you need someone who will listen, challenge and understand what you are going through. Let's work on building that self-confidence, self-love, and determination that will propel you to be a better version of yourself.
I’m Lisa M Burke, LICSW, a clinician based in Concord, Massachusetts. I provide parent guidance and work with children, adolescents and young adults. I specialize in treating patients with Depression, Anxiety, Emotional Dysregulation, Life Transitions, Behavioral Difficulties, Autism Spectrum Disorder and mild Intellectual Disabilities. In 2016, I left my job as a Clinical Program Director, at McLean Hospital to bring my clinical knowledge and training to the suburbs. I care about each of my patients and spend time evaluating their needs and goals, to create a treatment plan that is tailored to their specific needs. I believe in using different therapeutic methods while treating my patients, as I feel not everyone benefits from being treated by one method. This multidimensional approach allows me to be flexible, creative, and lets me target a patient’s specific need, which I feel leads to better treatment and better outcomes. I am certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Interventions from Boston University and I am trained in DBT from Behavioral Tech, SPACE: Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). I also have an interest in the therapeutic impact of humor and Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT). I am trained in improvisational comedy and often incorporate humor into my sessions. My dog Kaia and I are a certified animal assisted therapy team. Kaia enjoys coming to sessions with those who request her presence. My patients well-being is my number one priority, and I go above and beyond to help each patient.
