Sometimes it's really hard for us to ask for help-especially when you're a strong, independent woman. Therapy is a great way to reach out, learn more about yourself, and grow through any challenges you might be facing. I help women who want to change their relationship with food and their bodies. I work with women in individual, group, & virtual therapy. I have a holistic approach that covers a wide range of symptoms & issues, but I enjoy helping clients who have struggled with their weight make peace with food. I love working with college women who are graduating & seeking support for the transition, and specialize in those women experiencing a "quarter life crisis". I also have a lot of experience helping women with recovering from sexual trauma. I love working with women who may have experienced an unplanned pregnancy or abortion as well, and offer an non-judgemental, pro-choice arena to explore emotions. Starting therapy can seem scary, but its brave to get some help! Make the decision to feel better today. I am an Out of Network insurance provider-contact your insurance to see if you qualify for these benefits. Flexible spending and HSA accepted as payment. Are you struggling in school, and wondering if you have an un-diagnosed learning disability? Do you need an updated evaluation to confirm a previous learning disability diagnosis? Are you concerned about inattention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity? Have you been in therapy for a long time, but are struggling to see results and improvement? A psychological assessment can help you get the support you need. I specialize in psychological evaluations. These evaluations help clients understand their learning style and cognitive strengths and weaknesses; assess for ADHD or executive functioning deficits; evaluate for the presence of a learning disability; and/or gain a better understanding of mental health symptoms, functioning and diagnosis. As part of these evaluations, I generate a comprehensive report that provides a clear diagnosis, and offers recommendations for the academic environment and/or ongoing treatment.

Life is incredibly overwhelming at times, isn’t it? We have all kinds of expectations and demands from our family, our partners, friends, employers, professors, and even ourselves. It can seem like a harsh world and the last few years have felt especially taxing. So many young adults are inundated with stress and sadness. This can lead to feeling anxious, unfocused, unproductive, and irritable. Then the self-doubt and criticism inevitably emerge and the questions of “What is my purpose?” and “Will things ever get better?” arise. If you are experiencing challenges or struggles, I would love to work with you and create some clear and concise goals as well as strategies to attain your objectives. I incorporate an integrative approach to therapy, using evidence-based cognitive behavioral and solution-focused techniques into my practice, primarily. We can talk about whatever is causing you stress. Seriously! Nothing is off-limits and there’s no judgement here. Instead, we explore the issues that impact your relationships and your life. Together, we will work to understand the origins of your overwhelming emotions, create some self-care practices for you, develop coping skills to help you feel better, and set forth an action plan to help you move forward. We will work towards your vision of happiness and contentment so that you can live the life that you deserve! I can offer you an empathetic and nonjudgmental relationship in which I support and encourage you in working through your frustrations, questions of identity and self-exploration, or relationship issues. I can assist you to become more aware of your emotional responses to disappointments, and to see that setbacks can be a time of self-reflection and growth. I taught at the college-level for many years and have vast experience with both young and older adults in the college environment who have had personal, academic, and career concerns. I truly enjoy the college population and would feel honored to help. Let's connect! Please visit my website and schedule a free 15-minute consultation with me.
Some clients arrive feeling the weight of their anxiety. Others are in the middle of a transition—navigating changes in relationships, family dynamics, or adjusting to a new diagnosis or ongoing health condition. These transition moments can bring a level of uncertainty that’s hard to tolerate and often lead to second-guessing, especially when your body or health begins to feel unpredictable or outside of your control. I also work with individuals who experience intrusive thoughts or feel caught in patterns meant to prevent something bad from happening. These thoughts can feel unsettling or even at odds with who you are—making them confusing, distressing, and difficult to talk about. For some, these experiences are connected to obsessive-compulsive patterns (often referred to as OCD), even if that’s not a term you’ve used for yourself before. There are effective, evidence-based ways to work with OCD patterns, and we can talk through what that might look like for you. At the heart of my work is the belief that therapy is a collaborative process. You should want to talk to your therapist, and from the very beginning, I focus on creating a space where you can talk openly about what’s actually on your mind. The relationship between therapist and client matters deeply. Meaningful change tends to happen when people feel understood, respected, and able to show up honestly— even when what they’re bringing to session feels messy, confusing, or hard to put into words. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, and no single approach works for every person or every situation. I draw from a range of approaches and tailor the work to each client’s needs, goals, and experiences. Depending on what feels most helpful, this might include building a clearer understanding of the patterns you’re caught in, exploring where those patterns come from, or finding new ways to respond to them. Across all of this, my focus is on helping you make sense of what you’re experiencing and shift the patterns that are keeping you stuck so they begin to have less of a hold on you over time.

About me: I have a strong belief in therapy because I've successfully used it. I've had my own personal exploration into suffering and I've made my way out of these fogs by utilizing the support of others. It is my experience that no one lives their best life alone. Connection has the capacity to offer regulation and engender strength. I honor my sense of humanity that allows me to tend and befriend others, and take joy in my sense of playfulness that can bring a smile or a laugh to someone at the just the right moment. About my work: I work through an integrated lens, currently drawing on EFT, neuroscience, mindfulness, and positive psychology to explore how lifestyle, relationships, and early experiences shape our wellbeing. I also use the power of storytelling to help reframe the limiting narratives we carry about ourselves. Lately, I've been doing meaningful work with clients navigating OCD tendencies, using approaches including ERP and ACT. I am also working to expand my expertise through continued education in somatic approaches, chronic illness and premenstrual disorders, to support the full complexity of what my clients carry. My goal is to create a space that feels safe, to help people trust themselves again, and to help them recommit to life — through the big things and the small. About my credentials: I graduated from Lesley University with a MA in Mental Health Counseling in 2018. I am a Massachusetts licensed mental health counselor with experience in a variety of outpatient therapeutic settings. I welcome your questions.
