I am a seasoned clinical psychologist who is passionate about helping others be happier and live a better life . I work with individuals and couples at my practice in downtown Evansville. I have been in private practice for over 5 years after earning my PsyD from Yeshiva University in New York City. I incorporate a variety of techniques depending on my client's individual needs. These include DBT skills, mindfulness based interventions, and trauma informed treatment. I am committed to working with culturally diverse people from every walk of life and strive to create an open and affirmative space for all. I particularly enjoy working with young adults, adults, and youths. We each come to therapy searching for things to change, understanding, and symptoms relief. During our initial session, you can expect me to take time to get to know you, and provide feedback that you can apply to yourself and others in everyday interactions. We will look at your thoughts, feelings, and reactions that arise in therapy in order to work directly in the present moment. Whether you're looking extra support during a challenging situation, or you simply want to change direction in your life, I look forward to us establishing a collaborative relationship, It is important to understand that you will get more results from therapy if you actively participate in the process. The ultimate purpose of therapy is to help you bring what you learn in session back into your life. Therefore, beyond the work you do in therapy sessions, your therapist may suggest some things you can do outside of therapy to support your process - such as reading a pertinent book, journaling on specific topics, noting particular behaviors or taking action on your goals. People seeking psychotherapy are ready to make positive changes in their lives, are open to new perspectives and take responsibility for their lives. Do you take insurance, and how does that work? To determine if you have mental health coverage through your insurance carrier, the first thing you should do is call them. Check your coverage carefully and make sure you understand their answers. In-Network Insurance Plans: Anthem, Optum, United Health Care, Atnea, New Direction, etc. Please check with your insurance carrier to know if I am a provider. Often a single case agreement can be made with your insurance and I can apply to become a provider for your insurance. We all experience challenging and sometimes overwhelming periods in life. While turning to friends, family, or faith is often helpful in navigating life's paths, we can also benefit from a trained ear that will listen from the outside. Therapy is a safe place for exploration; a journey towards more fulfilling relationships, a greater sense of emotional, mental and spiritual well-being as well as increased self-esteem. Our work together will provide you with the support, guidance and the tools that you will need to reach your goals.
All of us face painful and uncertain seasons in life. Sometimes we need extra support to move through them—to heal, to grow, and to reconnect with ourselves and those we love. I’m passionate about walking alongside you through the ebb and flow of life as you process pain, trauma, relationship strain, grief, and the many transitions that shape us. As a certified perinatal mental health professional (PMH-C), I also specialize in supporting new parents, including non-gestational partners and fathers, through the emotional and relational shifts that accompany parenthood. I enjoy working with adults of all ages who are ready to engage in meaningful change, and I offer both individual and couples therapy. My work often includes helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, identity concerns, communication challenges, trauma, and infidelity. My approach is collaborative and compassionate. I strive to create a space where you feel seen, supported, and empowered to move toward greater clarity, calm, and connection. I look forward to meeting you and being part of your healing process.

Hey there, college students. Yes, you with the overloaded Canvas dashboard and the existential crisis in your “notes” app. If you're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, distracted, or like you're one group project away from losing it, you're not alone. I'm a therapist who gets it because I’ve lived it. I was the first in my family to go to college, juggling 40+ hour work weeks, social anxiety, and undiagnosed ADHD, all while trying to decode APA citations like they were ancient hieroglyphics. Oh, and I became pregnant during undergrad, which made me the proud owner of both a baby bump and student loan debt at the same time. So when I say I understand the pressure, the burnout, the identity crisis, and the late-night spirals… I truly mean it. I’ve sat in those same classrooms, fought those same battles (both emotional and financial), and still somehow figured out how to move forward with compassion, humor, and plenty of coffee. Now, I help college students just like you navigate all the “life stuff” that no syllabus ever prepares you for: Managing anxiety and stress Coping with ADHD Building confidence and social skills Balancing school, work, relationships, and your mental health Processing identity, life transitions, and unexpected curveballs Whether you’re barely hanging on or just want a space to breathe and figure things out, I'm here. Therapy with me is judgment-free, human, and yes, sometimes even funny (because if we can’t laugh about the chaos of adulthood, what are we even doing?). Let’s talk. Your mental health deserves as much attention as your GPA.
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than ten years of experience in various facets of mental health. My philosophy includes a focus on whole mind and body wellness. I strive to deliver excellent, compassionate care through active listening and thoughtful collaboration with my patients – with a splash of humor. You will feel heard and validated, never rushed or ignored. My interest is in the person with a symptom rather than the symptom of a person. I specialize in depression, anxiety, mood-disorders, trauma-related disorders such as PTSD, and serve as an advocate for patients within the LGBTQIA+ community. I believe in evidence-based practice, with a primary focus on thoughtful medication management. I also provide weight management services with Semaglutide and Tirzepatide therapy for patients who qualify. I maintain a limited private practice to offer a high level of flexibility to my patients. Patients have direct access to me via secure portal and I can be available for rapid crisis intervention, if needed. I offer early morning, evening and weekend appointments via telehealth for your convenience. If you email through psychology today, please check your junk/spam for my reply. I look forward to walking this journey with you.
At Root and Branch therapy, I help college students manage different types of anxiety. Being a college student is already full of challenges, but anxiety and high expectations can make it feel unbearable. Every test, assignment, social interaction comes with a weighty question: Am I doing enough? Am I measuring up? Inside, your mind races, worries spiral, and even small mistakes feel monumental. You may feel tense, restless, or on edge, always anticipating what could go wrong. The pressure comes from within and often feels draining. Therapy can help you step back from the pressure and learn to manage anxiety before it controls your life. Together, we will develop strategies to cope with expectations, quiet the inner critic, and build confidence. You are worth it.

When the relatively brief nature of on-campus counseling isn’t enough, students appreciate the easy access and privacy of online counseling through the Google Meet app.
