My goal is to provide a safe, empathic relationship and focused therapy to help you feel better quickly. Located near Emory and Mercer, I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, grief, relationship problems and PTSD. I also work well with adult children of alcoholics and other dysfunctional family backgrounds. I strive to help students adapt to change, increase self-worth, and clarify goals for the future. My practice is very diverse, including individuals from LGBTQ and non-majority cultural groups. I aim to work WITH clients in a manner that honors their intersecting identities. For over 20 years, I have worked mostly with young adults -- graduate and undergraduate students, new parents, and couples seeking meaningful connection. You can contact me by email (raj@rajphd.com), leave a message on my confidential voicemail (not linked to text), or visit my website at rebeccajonesphd.com. I offer a free telephone consultation so we can decide together if it makes sense to set up a first appointment. I am also available to suggest other referrals in the community.

College can look exciting and successful from the outside while feeling overwhelming behind the scenes. You may be struggling with anxiety, academic pressure, perfectionism, relationship concerns, family expectations, or uncertainty about who you are and what comes next. Maybe others see you as responsible, driven, or strong, but you feel exhausted from trying to keep everything together. I work with college students who are used to putting pressure on themselves, taking care of others, or feeling as though they must always perform well. Therapy can be a space where you do not have to have all the answers. Together, we can explore the experiences and patterns contributing to your stress, strengthen your confidence, and help you develop healthier boundaries, relationships, and coping skills. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your needs. Whether you are adjusting to college, navigating friendships or dating, questioning your identity, managing family stress, or preparing for life after graduation, I will support you in gaining clarity and feeling more grounded. Contact me for a free consultation to ask questions, learn more about my approach, and see whether working together feels like a good fit.

My name is Jessica Kettell and I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with the American Nurses Credentialing Center. I am here to help you restore your mental health and empower you to live your life to your fullest potential. Are you feeling sad or empty? Do you have trouble sleeping? Or maybe, you are so overwhelmed, anxious, or discouraged that it’s hard for you to make it through the day? You might find it hard to focus on tasks or assignments. Whatever problems you are facing right now, let’s tackle them together! You are not alone. You deserve to be happy and enjoy your life. I have completed a Fellowship Program in Functional and Integrative Psychiatry with Dr. James Greenblatt. My lifelong dream has been to make mental health care more accessible to individuals and to reduce the stigma associated with mental health treatment. Just as it is normal to seek treatment for diabetes, it should be natural to seek treatment to improve your mental health. You are a biochemically unique individual. A treatment that works well for someone, might not work best for you. That is why I use an evidence-based, whole-body, personalized approach to identify all factors that might be contributing to your mental health condition such as nutrition, lifestyle, hormones, genetics, and stress. Good nutrition and lifestyle practices are the foundation of mental wellness. I would love to support you on your mental health journey. Let’s do this together!

My practice is designed to support students who are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, or the challenges of navigating new phases in life. Whether it’s the pressure of academic or family expectations, managing cultural tensions, or struggling with uncertainty about the future, I understand how these issues can make even day-to-day tasks feel heavy and consuming. Many of my clients find themselves caught in cycles of overthinking, self-doubt, or feeling stuck between different identities and responsibilities. As a first-generation immigrant and veteran, I bring both lived experience and clinical insight to the work I do. I specialize in supporting immigrants and children of immigrants who are balancing complex cultural dynamics while trying to succeed academically, socially, and personally. My goal is to help students like you break free from the weight of these internal and external pressures, and move toward a life that feels grounded and self-directed. Are you are stuck in a job you hate, aren’t sure if you should stay in your current relationship, or just feel in a “funk” from time to time? If so, therapy is for you. I use a solution-focused approach to help you find the answers you are looking for. I enjoy working with adults (and older teens) who can’t quite figure out how to live their best lives. I specialize in couples – before marriage, when you still have stars in your eyes, after marriage when things are a bit harder than you thought they’d be, and towards the potential end of marriage, when you need to make the tough decision to either stay together or not. My typical clients are high achieving, and motivated people who need some guidance in a particular area of their life, I'll work with you to identify patterns (and people) that keep you stuck, and help find a path forward. I'll also show you how to set boundaries and identify what you can and cannot control, so you can move forward confidently. Sometimes the most difficult part of therapy can be making the decision to start. I am located in the heart of historic Kirkwood in-town Atlanta neighborhood and, am available to do telehealth (video calls) on a case-by-case basis. I worked eight years as an Adult Nurse Practitioner in several settings before expanding my specialty to Psychiatry/Mental Health; it was the best career decision I could have made. I started practicing Psychiatry in a correctional setting, treating adolescents and adults. It was there that I recognized the significance of early mental health promotion, screening, and treatment. For the past four years, I’ve worked in a private practice with a diverse patient population across the lifespan. My main role is assessing, diagnosing, education, and medication management, and I occasionally incorporate therapy. I have found that motivational interviewing helps elicit the patient’s goals and determine readiness for change. The individual patient and his/her goals dictate my chosen therapy modality. Brief supportive therapy, Grief therapy, and CBT interventions are the modalities I most often incorporate. All psychiatry providers at Foresight have specialized experience in treating a wide range of common mental health conditions, including but not limited to ADHD, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, depression, and PTSD. In addition, I specialize in the following areas: academic stress, BIPOC mental health issues, CBT-I, comorbidities/medical complexity, deprescribing, holistic approaches to psychiatry, LGBTQIQ2s+ mental health, personality disorders, somatic symptoms disorders, trauma-informed care, anger management, antisocial personality disorder, autism spectrum disorder, chronic illness, chronic pain, developmental disorders, dissociative disorders, first responders, grief, men’s issues, pregnancy, prenatal, postpartum, racial identity, self harming (non-suicidal self injurious behavior), transgender care, veterans care, women’s issues (PMDD, PCOS, perimenopause, menopause, etc.)

I am a Physician Assistant experienced in working in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry. I diagnose and help patients to manage conditions including but not limited to: anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, sleep issues, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and much more. Through medication management, I aspire to help my patients manage their conditions as best as possible by using the least amount of medication in order to manage their symptoms. I also am familiar with over-the-counter / naturopathic approaches to mental health and how using these vitamins as adjuncts to medication can often work synergistically with psychiatric meds. I know that medications aren’t always the only method to improve your mental health, so oftentimes I refer my patients to counseling and therapy too. Originally from the state of FL, I graduated from then University of FL with my bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies before earning my PA degree from the University of South Alabama in 2020. I was recently awarded a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Psychiatry by the NCCPA.

My job is about hope. I help students struggling with anxiety, depression, or stress. These symptoms can interfere with your schoolwork and wellness. Many of my former clients tell me that they were surprised and relieved to feel so much better after therapy. They were unsure if they would ever find relief from the challenges they had. That is why I do what I do. It is a joy to share in that journey of healing. I have found the most important thing is to tailor my approach to each person's specific needs. Therapy is not one size fits all. For example, I often find expressive arts to be helpful when overcoming trauma. I also have a special place in my heart for those who struggle with eating disorders and self harm.

There are few things harder than asking for help. Sometimes people seek counseling for this help and sometimes they just want to make positive changes in their lives. I aim to build genuine and productive connections with clients, incorporating a relaxed setting and humor when appropriate. Counseling may be a hard journey, but things like trust and comfort level can create an ideal setting for growth. *I am currently taking on new clients. However, at this time I am not seeing couples, those struggling with eating disorders, or substance abuse. I most often handle cases related to depression, life transitions, women's issues, and anxiety or trauma. Feel free to contact me and see if I am a good fit for your needs. This profession has allowed me to meet a diverse group of people who have trusted me with their stories and struggles. We all have a unique story and I'd love to share in yours. It takes courage to seek help, so be proud of your first steps towards growth or change. At this time, I am only taking telehealth clients. I will be seeing all clients via HIPPA compliant Telehealth by the Simple Practice platform. www.thenorthropconnection.com. I am able to reply more quickly to emails.

Hello and welcome! Life can feel like a lot sometimes. You might be feeling overwhelmed by academic pressure, anxiety or depression, questioning your path, navigating complicated relationships, or trying to hold it all together while everyone else seems to be thriving. College and student life can bring growth and independence, but also burnout, impostor syndrome, loneliness, and identity questions. You don’t have to navigate it alone. I specialize in working with students experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, and family or relationship challenges. Many of the clients I work with are untangling complex family dynamics, healing from past experiences, or learning how to set boundaries while honoring their cultural or personal values. I also support neurodiverse clients, including those with ADHD and executive functioning challenges, and understand the stress that can come from masking or feeling misunderstood in academic spaces. My approach blends cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic therapy, meaning we’ll look at both present patterns and deeper roots. Together, we’ll build insight, strengthen coping skills, and help you develop a more supportive and realistic inner voice. Therapy with me is collaborative — we’ll reflect, challenge patterns, and even laugh when it fits. I am committed to providing affirming, culturally responsive care for diverse clients, including BIPOC, neurodiverse, and LGBTQ+ individuals. If you’re exploring identity, belonging, or navigating systems that weren’t built with you in mind, that work is welcome here. I aim to create a space where you can show up as you are — warm, supportive, and real (not drive-thru mental health care). I am currently an Associate Professional Counselor (APC), working toward full licensure under the guidance of Lauren Vaughan-D'Angelo, LPC, CPCS. I provide virtual therapy for clients across Georgia, with evening and weekend availability. My standard rate is $125, and I accept select insurance plans as well as self-pay. I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots to help keep therapy accessible and within reach. If you’re wondering whether we’re a good fit, I offer a free 15-minute phone “vibe check.”
