Tamara Hunter is the Founder of Womb Wisdom Wellness LLC, located in Atlanta, Georgia. Tamara is dedicated to assisting women with prioritizing their mental and emotional wellness.
Tamara has been in the mental health field for 15 years. Tamara is a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Dance/Movement Psychotherapist. She earned a M.S. degree in Dance/Movement Therapy from Pratt Institute, M.A. degree in School Counseling and B.A. degree in Early Childhood Education from Clark Atlanta University.
Throughout her clinical practice, has worked in inpatient & outpatient behavioral health facilities, residential treatment centers and the public-school system.
She is a perinatal trained provider specializing in infertility, pregnancy, reproductive and infant loss, still birth, birth trauma, and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders.
Tamara utilizes Dance/Movement Therapy psycho-therapeutic interventions designed to assist with symptoms caused by trauma, anxiety, depression, anger, grief, self-esteem & chemical dependency.
She is passionate about helping others identify inner strengths to support their healing process. She utilizes, encouragement, humor, person-centered, holistic approaches as well as therapeutic skills of empathy and attunement, to provide a safe space for clients to engage in, and manage, their own healing journeys.
