You and your life isn’t one note. You are multifaceted and the demands you face happen to be as well – particularly when you are a student. Currently, the sound-track of your life has moved away from the sounds of a harmonious symphony -or maybe from an upbeat pop song- to something more unnerving and stressful (like the alarm you use to wake up to in the morning or the background music in a horror film—building tension, bracing yourself from some known or unknown threat). It makes sense that life has been overwhelming -increased responsibilities and life demands alone would contribute to this feeling. Add fears about the future, a recent breakup, challenging relationship dynamics with family, and/or other stressors and you might find yourself tipping the scales of your emotional bandwidth. I help students focus on the unique aspects of their lives that are no longer serving them – with empathy, tools, problem-solving, and emotional healing and growth. I believe you can have a richer and higher-quality of life– free from the overwhelming influence of your current life demands, harmful past experiences, poor modeling, and environmental toxicities (psychological). Living with anxiety or a mood disorder can feel isolating, overwhelming, and hard to put into words. You may find yourself overthinking, feeling on edge, or weighed down by intense sadness. At other times, your energy or mood may shift in ways that feel just as unsettling - racing thoughts, difficulty sleeping, or feeling pulled in a million different directions. You may wonder why things feel so much harder for you than they seem for others or feel frustrated by patterns that you can't seem to break. If any of this resonates with you, I see you - and you don't have to go through it on your own. I'm here to help by creating a supportive, nonjudgmental space grounded in empathy and honesty, when it’s helpful. You’re the expert in your life—I’m here to walk alongside you. Together, we will explore your values, build routines that support your mood, and gently shift unhelpful thought patterns. My practice is rooted in a deep respect for the many factors that shape each person’s healing—both within and around them. Having experienced my own transformative work in therapy, I understand the courage and vulnerability it takes to show up. It’s truly an honor to be invited into that journey, and I approach each client with care, humility, and warmth.
With a background in social work and a deep commitment to trauma-informed care, I specialize in supporting children, adolescents, and adults as they navigate trauma, anxiety, emotional challenges, and life transitions. Whatever you're working through, my goal is to help you feel genuinely understood, build on the strengths you already carry, and move toward lasting healing and emotional well-being. Compassion and collaboration are at the heart of how I work. Every person brings with them a unique story, and I look forward to hearing yours as a supportive partner in the healing process. My style is trauma-informed, collaborative, and nonjudgmental — and the environment I create reflects that. Helping you build confidence and emotional regulation skills within a space that feels genuinely safe and empowering is what I'm most passionate about. Treatment is always tailored to your unique needs and goal. Using trauma-focused and strengths-based approaches, I work with you to build coping skills, process difficult emotions, and feel more at home in yourself. My path to becoming a therapist began in the behavioral health field, working directly with children and teens. This role quickly taught me the importance of building strong, supportive relationships, and how those relationships could change the trajectory of a young person's healing. Watching patients develop coping skills and emotional regulation tools they'd carry with them long after our sessions, I knew this was the work I was meant to do. From there, I moved into trauma-focused therapy with children and adolescents and haven't looked back since. Those years deepened my commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care, and reinforced my belief that every person, regardless of age or circumstance, has an innate ability to grow. That conviction, along with empathy and patience, is something I bring to every session we share. In my free time, I enjoy reading, journaling and solo traveling. I find that I am my happiest when I am surrounded by mountains and close to a good coffee shop!

Anxiety, stress, and sadness are a normal part of life. At times these feelings can take over and inhabit multiple area's of life in a profoundly negative way. As a therapist, I offer an empathetic, non-judgmental, supportive, and encouraging space for emerging and young adults to explore area's of life that feel off. I work with my clients to understand the unique experiences brought to counseling. Treating someone as a person, not a diagnosis that needs to be fixed is essential in healing.
Hi, I'm Oivia! I offer telehealth and in-person therapy in Denver. I am an Anxiety Specialist supporting college students and young adults with anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress management, and relationships. My approach is holistic and trauma-informed, helping you move through shame, emotional overwhelm, and self-doubt. Whether you're adjusting to campus life, facing relationship issues, or questioning yourself, I’m here to help you build confidence, develop coping tools, and feel more grounded and confident in who you are.
I aim to guide clients in discovering their patterns and getting off autopilot to begin living a life they choose! I am strongly connected with non-traditional lifestyles and work to cultivate a safe place for all people, most frequently working with clients in queer, non-monogamous, & kink relationships. Most of my clients are wanting to work on issues mostly unrelated to but within the context of these communities and lifestyles, and are tired of having to spend so much time explaining the context to therapists unfamiliar with their world. I also work with folks looking to explore these aspects of themselves for the first time. Growing up, my father's Navy career caused our family to move every 0.5-2.5 years. Since transition was my constant, I developed unique insight into the complex intersection and paradox of excitement, anxiety, fear, resistance, confidence, insecurity, love, and hate that can all be felt simultaneously during times of major change. This is why I love working with college students and helping them to navigate experiences such as: being away from home and re-configuring family relationships; exploring new friendships and romantic relationships; discovering their life path(s); learning a larger variety of ways to cope, communicate, and relate to themselves and the world; and diving more deeply into issues related to identity (e.g. sexuality, gender, higher consciousness, vocation, etc.). I tailor my approach with each of my clients, but primarily utilize mindfulness, experiential activities, and somatic techniques (i.e. deepening the relationship and communication between your mind and body).
