I'm Nick and I specialize in supporting clients with anxiety, grief, trauma/PTSD, and depression. Treatment is personalized to each client, but draws from evidence-based approaches such as EMDR, ACT, and CBT. Every client’s needs are different, so no two sessions look exactly alike. There are still some constants you can expect to see across all therapy meetings with me: -Therapy in a relaxed and collaborative manner -Treatment that’s personalized to you -Support that draws from evidence based techniques -Topics that are typically difficult feel more manageable to discuss I value the benefits of in-person meetings in a world that is increasingly remote. I strives to understand who you are beyond the mental health difficulties you face. Clients have described my therapeutic style as warm, involved, curious, and attentive. Please reach out if you would like to learn more about me, my approach, or the practice. I offer free 15-minute consultations to ensure a good fit before moving forward.

Being at peace with yourself is not easy. Showing yourself the kindness you easily give to others can be extremely challenging. This is especially true if you are accustomed to anticipating the needs of others before acknowledging your own. You may find that your sense of worthiness depends on how useful you are to others. The beautiful thing is: you are enough already as you are. The painful thing is: you believe you're both not enough and too much at the same time. You want to be able to relate to yourself in a kinder way, take good care of yourself, and feel more authentic in your relationships. I specialize in working with people who struggle with people-pleasing behaviors and are their own worst critics. My work focuses on improving how clients relate to self and others. I also have specialized training and experience working with survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault. I use EMDR to help clients work through past trauma. Often the hardest part of healing is taking the initial first step of seeking help. If you have noticed that you automatically appease others at the expense of yourself, it is time to quit the self-abandonment and re-build your foundation. I look forward to assisting you with your healing journey.

Welcome! I’m Heather, a Licensed Professional Counselor and board-approved clinical supervisor, and I’m dedicated to providing thoughtful, client-centered care and professional guidance. If you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, burnt out, or stuck in an overthinking spiral, you’re not alone. Many teens and young adults feel pressure to keep up with school, work, relationships, and expectations, while quietly struggling with motivation, confidence, and emotional exhaustion. I enjoy working with Gen Z clients navigating anxiety, ADHD, depression, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and stress related to school or life transitions. My style is highly relational and collaborative, offering a supportive space to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at your own pace, recognizing that there is no one-size-fits-all in therapy. Stress, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm don’t just affect your thoughts, they often show up in your body too, like tension, fatigue, racing thoughts, or feeling disconnected or stuck. Together, we’ll help your nervous system feel safer and calmer so you can move out of survival mode and handle life with more ease. When you're ready, I'm here to support you. Additionally, I'm passionate about supporting individuals and their families affected by disabilities or rare diagnoses. Outside of work, I dedicate time to raising awareness and advocating for disabilities, rare disorders, neurodiversity, and inclusivity, while also helping others navigate community resources and access the additional support they may need.
