As a recent college graduate and former college athlete, I understand the unique pressure that comes with balancing academics, performance, relationships, and identity in today’s fast-paced world. College can be an exciting season of growth, but it can also feel overwhelming — especially when you’re striving to excel in the classroom, compete at a high level, maintain friendships or dating relationships, and navigate constant comparison fueled by social media, technology, and AI. I specialize in working with high-achieving college students who struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, body image concerns, eating disorders, and the internal pressure to always perform. Whether you’re pushing for top grades, managing the physical and mental demands of athletics, or silently battling self-doubt despite external success, I provide a space where you can step out of performance mode and show up as your full, authentic self. You don’t have to sacrifice your mental health to succeed. My goal is to help you build resilience, develop a healthier relationship with achievement, strengthen your identity beyond performance, and pursue excellence in a way that feels sustainable and aligned with who you truly are.

Entering adulthood isn't quite like you expected it to be. Yeah, you get more freedom, but you also get the added responsibility of being "the" adult. You find yourself more anxious and experiencing these different emotions that leave you feeling burdened and overwhelmed. You've tried several ways to cope, but those only offered a temporary solution. And if we're honest, they weren't the healthiest ways to cope. Managing your day-to-day life has become even more difficult, and you realize you can't go on like this much longer. As a marriage and family therapist- associate, I am skilled at helping individuals and couples live a healthy and more sustainable life. I fully understand the challenges that come with college life and am here to help. Through our time together, you’ll learn healthy and effective skills to cope, identify how to name and manage troubling emotions, replace irrational thoughts with realistic and empowering ones, and engage more positively with those around you. College years don't t have to be something that you heal from as an adult. I can help you find balance and healing now.

College can feel like a lot—figuring out who you are, juggling classes, friendships, family expectations, and the pressure to “have it all together.” If you’ve been feeling anxious, disconnected, self-critical, or just plain overwhelmed, you’re not alone. I love working with students who are realizing their needs, boundaries, and intuition matter—even if they’re still figuring out what that actually means. If you need is space to breathe, slow down, and reconnect with who you really are, I would love to support you. My style is warm, conversational, and collaborative—I don’t lecture or “fix” you. Instead, I sit with you, help you untangle old patterns, and explore new ways of moving through life that actually feel like you. Reach out and let's begin!

Welcome, I’m Natoyia Harris, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals, families, and communities. My background includes crisis support, counseling, and case management with people from many different walks of life. What I bring to each session is compassion, curiosity, and a commitment to helping you unmask the layers of disappointment, rejection, or emotions that may feel too heavy to carry alone. I work with individuals who are struggling to manage the many paths and pressures that impact their lives—whether that means navigating stress, life transitions, relationships, or unprocessed emotions. My goal is to bridge the gap by providing a holistic approach to therapy that is centered on you as a unique individual. “I believe healing begins when we feel seen, heard, and understood. My approach to therapy is collaborative—we work together to build bridges of support strong enough to carry life’s challenges, while honoring your story, values, and goals. I strive to create a space where you can feel safe to explore your thoughts and emotions without judgment.”

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in mindfulness and self-awareness. I am licensed in Texas, Maine, and Oregon with 19 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, motivation, self-esteem, and confidence, & bipolar disorder. I am a holistic therapist and work on helping you by finding ways to recover using skills to improve your Mind, Body, and Spirit. I am also very interested in hearing your story and finding the origins of the problems you are having.
The clients I see are sometimes in college experiencing feelings of overwhelm or feeling low. These clients describe their challenges as feeling, “como con miedo,” and also, “no se que tengo.” Other clients I see are future counselors who are at the beginning of their careers and facing imposter syndrome ( “I must’ve slipped through the cracks to get to where I am now”), self-criticism (“Why can’t I get my life together!"), or burnout (feeling fatigued and like you can never catch up). These clients are usually part of activist movements or workplaces and I believe in helping the healers that are out in the world making a positive impact on society. I benefited greatly from my own experiences with counseling when I was in grad school (still do) and I hope to provide the same non-judgmental opportunities to cry or laugh or both to future clients. In my work I value humility, curiosity, self-compassion and humor. I believe these are needed to provide authenticity and support at a time when people starting out in their fields of work are taking in new information that is stretching/challenging perspectives and care for the self is a necessity to continue doing challenging work.
Hi there! I have worked in the social work field for over 3 and a half years. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I specialize in supporting individuals through challenges related to anxiety, depression, body image issues, and disordered eating. I approach therapy with a warm, validating, and supportive style, creating a safe space where you can feel heard and understood. My goal is to guide you in exploring the root causes of your struggles while challenging unhelpful mindsets and beliefs that may be holding you back.
My ideal client is someone navigating a significant life transition—whether it’s entering a new phase of life, adjusting to a career shift, or healing after the end of a relationship, or starting a new one. They may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected from themselves and others. They often appear high-functioning on the outside but internally struggle with self-doubt, perfectionism, or emotional exhaustion. Their needs often include learning how to manage stress, set healthy boundaries, improve emotional regulation, and strengthen relationships. I have 13 years of experience and am licensed in three states. My approach to therapy is rooted in compassion, presence, and collaboration. I draw primarily from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based practices to help clients build psychological flexibility, develop deeper self-awareness, and move toward a more values-driven life. I believe that healing begins in the context of a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship. I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported. Therapy is a shared process, and I deeply respect the courage it takes to show up and be vulnerable. My role is to walk alongside you, offering guidance and insight.
Hi! My name is Natasha Backman, and I'm passionate about creating spaces where people can explore their innermost thoughts and emotions. Life can be challenging, and we all deserve a space to get curious about where we’ve been and where we’re going. I'm here to support you, whether you've engaged in counseling before or you need help understanding how this process works. I know that therapy can be a weird and wonderful space. It is our time for healing and growth, in which the only pretense is that we give space for the most authentic version of ourselves. I have experience working with clients who have goals related to processing trauma, exploring their gender and sexual identity, and recovering from drug and alcohol use. Identity impacts the ways in which we interact with mental health resources, and I welcome conversations about race, power, and privilege. Counseling can be a place for processing painful experiences and emotional work in pursuit of change. At the same time, it can be a space of connection through laughter and compassion. I launched my private practice because I believe in the restorative power of the counseling process. I look forward to hearing your story.
