Hi, I’m Zoe—a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and DBT-certified therapist, offering virtual therapy across Florida, Illinois, and Texas. I work with college students, especially young women, who feel anxious, misunderstood, or stuck in cycles of self-doubt, perfectionism, or unhealthy patterns. Classes, relationships, family stress, and the constant pressure to “have it all figured out” can leave you feeling overwhelmed. In therapy, you don’t have to perform or pretend you’re fine—you get a space to be real, vent, and start untangling what’s been weighing you down. ✨ You might relate if… You’re overthinking every text, email, or decision. You feel “different” or “too much” compared to your friends. You’re caught in cycles with food, body image, or relationships. You’re exhausted from trying to keep it all together. In our first session, we’ll slow things down. I’ll get to know your story, the challenges you’re facing, and what you’d like to change. You don’t need to have a plan—I’ll ask questions to help us explore your coping patterns, relationships, and what’s been hardest lately. This is a supportive space where you can share at your own pace—no pressure to open up before you’re ready. By the end, we’ll have a clearer picture of your goals and how we can work toward them. My goal is to make sure you feel heard, understood, and supported from the very beginning.
If you're trying to break unhealthy patterns in your life—whether they are things you've learned from your family or habits you’ve noticed in how you treat yourself and others—you’re in the right place. As two first-generation Latina therapists, we understand how hard it can be to figure out what’s not working in your life and try to change it, especially if going to therapy isn't something that's normalized within your family or community. We know that the path you are on can feel isolated and overwhelming. Which is why we created Sin Miedo Counseling - to support cycle-breakers like you. We offer counseling that is warm, authentic, and nonjudgmental so you can feel that you have someone who has your back while you work towards the change you want to see in your life. If you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or down, we can help by offering strategies to help you regulate your nervous system and challenge that inner critic who is telling you that you don't deserve joy or rest in your life. If you're nervous about starting counseling, that's okay. We got you and we'd be honored to join you in your journey.

Worth, and can work with clients throughout the entire state of Texas. I obtained my Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University. I began my career as a medical assistant and have been an allied health professional for over forty-five years. I spent twenty years of my career as a medical assisting instructor, and another twenty years as the author of Kinn’s: The Administrative Medical Assistant and co-author of Kinn’s: The Medical Assistant. I have authored four editions of both textbooks. This project totaled sixteen texts, including student study workbooks, instructor resource books, test banks, lectures/presentations, and procedure guidelines. I believe that anyone can benefit from the counseling process. It is my hope that my clients will grow through this process and live happier lives. According to the American Psychological Association, mental health therapy can help a person going through a challenging life event or situation, treat mental health conditions like anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder, and address symptoms like sadness, guilt, or anger. The process is also helpful when dealing with relationships with family, friends, and coworkers. I work with adults and adolescents, as well as couples and groups. I have found a niche working with first responders experiencing moral injury, generational trauma and estrangement, adoption, abortion, and miscarriage issues, chronic pain, DNA testing matters, grief, loss, and suicide prevention, intimacy issues, legal/offender issues, overcoming church hurt or past abuse, parental alienation, sexual assault/rape, and low self-esteem and self-confidence. I would be honored to work with you as you begin to live your best life. Counseling can help you as you confront long-standing life issues, or specific concerns that need to be addressed. The length of counseling can range from several weeks to several months, depending on the number of issues that will be discussed. Contact me for a complementary consultation and take the step forward to a richer, more rewarding future.

Let's be real. Anxiety is a b!tch. You know the kind I mean. Heart racing, chest tight, skin crawling, lying awake at 3am when you have to be up at 6. The kind that doesn't care how put-together you look on the outside. Most of my clients grew up in environments where they had to stay on guard just to get through the day. Emotionally unsafe, physically unsafe, or both. They learned early that keeping quiet, going along with things, and making themselves small was the smartest way to avoid getting hurt. And it worked, for a while. The problem is, survival strategies don't just turn off. So now you're people-pleasing in relationships you're not happy in. Biting your tongue when you should be speaking up. Telling yourself "it's fine" when it's really, really not. You know that voice in your head that says I should be over this by now? That's not clarity. That's the trauma talking. Here's what I see in my clients before they start working with me: they're exhausted. Not tired, exhausted. Drained by the constant hum of worry. Distant from the people they care about. Too spent to return a text, too anxious to be present, too guarded to actually rest. They carry it all in their chest like a weight they've stopped noticing because it's been there so long. You deserve something different. Not "managed" anxiety. Not white-knuckling your way through the week. Actually different. Setting your own terms. Saying no without a three-paragraph apology. Showing up in your relationships without shrinking. Feeling okay in your own skin without needing someone else's approval first. If you want to ditch the anxiety, break out of people-pleasing, and finally start living on your own terms, I'd love to help you get there.
I work with clients who may be struggling with depression or anxiety related to various life stressors, including parenting kids with special needs. In our sessions, we will identify the issues at hand, and collaborate to create a plan for addressing them in a way that helps you get your life back. Most of my clients see a gradual lifting of symptoms and sustained improvement long term"

Cindy Millet is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Lori K. Shaw, LPC-S. She earned her undergraduate degree in Sociology and holds Master’s degrees in Education and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Cindy also holds professional licenses as a school counselor, teacher, and special education teacher, giving her a broad understanding of the emotional, developmental, relational, and educational experiences that shape individuals and families. Cindy works with students, adults, and families experiencing anxiety, trauma-related concerns, family challenges, and generational patterns. She takes a holistic, trauma-informed approach to counseling and believes that each person has an innate capacity for healing and growth when given a safe, supportive, and empowering environment. Drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, person-centered therapy, and psychodynamic approaches, Cindy integrates different therapeutic perspectives based on each client’s individual needs. She is particularly interested in helping clients develop awareness of the experiences and underlying patterns that may be impacting their emotional wellness and relationships. Cindy’s goal is to create a therapeutic relationship where clients feel genuinely heard and accepted while gaining insight, building resilience, and developing the tools needed to create meaningful and lasting change. She believes counseling is not about telling someone who they should be; it is about creating space for them to understand better who they are and who they want to become.

You may feel disconnected from yourself—questioning your worth, your decisions, or your place in relationships. Perhaps your inner dialogue is critical, self-doubt feels persistent, or you find yourself repeating the same unhelpful relationship patterns. As an individual or as a couple, you want more than symptom relief. You want clarity, confidence, and healthier ways of relating—to yourself and to each other. You’re looking for a space to slow down, make sense of what’s weighing on you, and begin showing up differently in your life and relationships. I take a trauma-informed, integrative approach tailored to your needs. I believe insight fosters understanding, clarity, and awareness—and once awareness is present, change becomes a choice. Together, we’ll explore the thought patterns and relational dynamics shaping how you see yourself and show up in your relationships. Depending on your goals, we may explore how past experiences affect the present or focus on practical strategies for current challenges.
