When stress and emotional overwhelm build up, it can feel like you’re slowly losing yourself. I’m Esther, a Licensed Professional Counselor, and I have a passion for working with young adults who carry a lot on their shoulders. I carry the lived experience of being a first-generation Latina college student of mixed heritage. I understand the emotional complexity of balancing cultural values, family expectations, and personal growth, and how isolating or overwhelming that process can feel at times. This perspective allows me to connect deeply with the unique strengths, resilience, and challenges that come with belonging to multiple worlds and sometimes feeling torn between them. My therapeutic style is grounded in authenticity— I show up as myself, using warmth, humor, and gentle directness to help you explore the parts of your life that feel heavy, complicated, or stuck. My goal is to provide clients the space where their vulnerability is honored, so that their own sense of authenticity can flourish. I specialize in anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship struggles, identity concerns, trauma, cultural and family expectations, and perfectionism. I earned both my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), where my training was grounded in culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and person-centered care. I use a blend of therapeutic approaches tailored to each client, mostly drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Reality Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. Choosing a therapist is a personal decision, and feeling a sense of connection matters. I offer a 15-minute consultation as a way for us to talk about what you’re hoping for, answer any questions you may have, and see if my approach feels like the right fit for you. If you’re ready to explore your story in a meaningful and empowering way, I’d be honored to walk with you through that process.

Hi, I'm Ayesha! We all face mental health challenges at different points in life, and seeking clarity is often the first step toward healing. You may be experiencing low moods, intrusive thoughts, or body image distress—all of which can lead to feelings of anxiety, depression, stress, and fatigue. Sadly, many people suffer in silence, avoiding the deeper work needed to shift unhelpful thinking patterns. This can create a cycle of guilt, shame, and unworthiness that reinforces emotional and behavioral struggles. I’m here to help you break that cycle. Through evidence-based therapeutic interventions, I support clients in identifying and disrupting negative thought patterns, gaining new perspectives on themselves and their life experiences. Together, we’ll work to unlearn unhealthy beliefs, better understand your emotions, and develop healthy coping strategies to manage life's challenges more effectively. As a clinician, I offer a safe and non-judgmental space where you can grow, heal, and explore your emotional experiences. I lead with empathy, compassion, and validation, while also maintaining a goal-oriented approach to help you make lasting changes. My passion lies in helping individuals navigate mood disorders, stress-related issues, and eating disorders. If you're ready to take that first brave step, I’m here to walk alongside you. Reach out today, and let’s begin your journey to healing.

I believe therapy is a space for growth and change that can lead to stronger relationships, healthier ways of functioning, and a deeper sense of well-being. In our work together, I’ll bring empathy, respect, and genuine care. My role is to support you in becoming more self-aware and confident, while helping you make the changes you want to see in your life. To me, therapy is a collaborative process. I’m not here to "fix" you, but to walk alongside you as a guide, a support, and sometimes just a steady presence while you navigate life’s challenges. I truly believe that everyone has the ability to grow and the responsibility to pursue that growth when they’re ready. I also believe our relationships with family, partners, friends, or chosen community play a huge role in our overall well-being. When those connections feel off or strained, it can affect so many other areas of life. Whether we're working one-on-one, with a couple, or with a family, I take a systemic approach to understand the bigger picture and help shift patterns that may be keeping you stuck. And I know that therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. We’ll work together to find what feels right for you. Most importantly, I’ll offer a space where you feel safe, supported, and truly heard. Feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, dating challenges, or life transitions? You don’t have to navigate it alone. I love working with college students seeking clarity, peace, and confidence—whether you're adjusting to campus life, preparing for the future, or feeling emotionally stuck and alone. Originally from Houston, Texas and now based in Atlanta, I’ve been fully licensed since 2018 and practicing since 2012. My early work focused on adolescents and families affected by substance use, but I found my sweet spot working with young adults navigating anxiety, relationship stress, and identity development. Whether you're facing college anxiety, academic pressure, or relationship concerns, I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can process emotions and grow at your own pace. Therapy with me is relaxed, empowering, and rooted in real-life support. Healing isn’t instant, but it starts with being open, heard, and supported. Let’s take that first step—together.
