At Unleashed Counseling, we lean on the healing power of nature and the mind-body connection to help you overcome anxiety and enhance self-compassion. We use practices such as play therapy (with Benji the Therapy Dog), walk & talk therapy, and art therapy, to create a gentle, joyful atmosphere in the counseling room. We create a safe space where we can celebrate you and your desire to grow. We specialize in treating anxiety, depression, addiction, and eating disorders, as well as the trauma often rooted underneath those concerns. It's easy to get lost in our own minds. It's common to feel conflict and tension within ourselves as we navigate life's ups, downs and variety of curveballs. So many of us end up saying "A part of me feels.... and yet another part of me feels the complete opposite!". I'm passionate about working with folks who need a little time and space to sort things out. Whether it's anxiety, OCD, depression, relationship turmoil, uncertainty on identity or goals....we can face life's twists and turns together. I'm here to lend an ear and a helping hand. I'm passionate about therapy approaches and tools that are shown to help. Educating my clients and empowering them to take nuggets of awareness or action from each session into life is top of mind for me when we meet. I have years of experience helping folks sort through the burdens of anxiety, depression, emotion regulation struggles, relationship patterns, and OCD. It's always my top priority to work as a team - two humans sitting down in a sacred space to unravel the knots of uncertainty, discover your inner strengths and craft new approaches that can open up the road ahead. This too shall pass.
I specialize in helping adolescents and adults overcome the struggles of eating disorders, anxiety, depression, self-harm, and substance abuse. I help my clients learn concrete coping skills and effective ways to take control of their lives. The constant battle of obsessing over one's weight, the unrelenting state of panic and fear at times for no understood reason, and the feelings of shame and urges to self-destruct, don't have to be a part of your life. I've had the opportunity to successfully help people work through these issues and find peace and healing that they deserve. I love working with people with eating disorders because they are intelligent, kind-hearted, and often don't realize their potential and worth in the world. I understand the strength it takes to make the call to ask for help and the uncertainty that comes with starting the recovery process. After studying eating disorders and women's issues extensively and working for years at The Renfrew Center, a renowned residential eating disorder facility, I joined the Emotional Eating program at Princeton House Women's Programs. Are You Looking For A Therapist Who Will Involve Your Entire Being, Mind, Body and Soul, in Your Healing Journey? There is a powerful connection between the body and the brain, and both the body and the brain rely on that connection to heal. With that, I utilize yoga practices to help guide you to integrate your mind and body. Unlike talk therapy, where we explore your thoughts and feelings on a topic or event, Yoga + Therapy encourages you to feel the body sensations that hold wisdom about that topic or event. Your body has an opinion, it's time to listen to it! I specialize in working with women and BIPOC - two groups I identify with and deeply care about. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and yoga teacher with specific training in trauma-informed practices. Yoga + Therapy strengthens the ability to be present in the mind, in the body, and ultimately, in life. If you are looking for traditional talk therapy only, I integrate meditation and mindfulness in sessions to help you further explore areas in your life. I am an Out of Network Provider (Self Pay/Private Pay). Please visit my website www.mindbodysoulcounseling.com to learn more about my practice and schedule a free 15 minute consultation call. I can't wait to work with you! There is a powerful connection between the body and the brain, and both the body and the brain rely on that connection to heal. I emphasize the importance of being comfortable in your own body. Yoga + Therapy strengthens the ability to be present in the mind, in the body, and ultimately, in life.
My therapy style is rooted in rational thinking and empathetic listening. Reminding clients to recognize the power they hold in their own lives. I work collaboratively with my clients to increase self-worth and reframe faulty or problematic narratives and patterns. Creating an environment of safety and validation to support individuals in overcoming past and/or current obstacles and creating change in their lives. I'm also a big believer in nature being innately healing as well as it sometimes being easier to talk while outside or moving. So, I offer hiking or walking or sitting outdoors while conducting therapy. I like to work with anxiety, including OCD and social anxiety, depression, ADHD management, trauma, self esteem development, body image issues and communication skills. I often work with immigrants or children of immigrants and we work to overcome intergenerational trauma. We work to develop empathy and strength to create new paths.

Our team at PsychPhilly is passionate about connecting with the community and providing quality mental healthcare throughout the greater Philadelphia area and beyond. We offer a holistic and solutions-based approach to achieving and maintaining wellness. We strive to meet you where you are. Our work will be based on your wellness goals. PsychPhilly believes in collaborating with members of your wellness team. If you don't have one, we'll support you in developing one. If you've had a sense that other therapists don't get it (or don't get you), it's hard to begin that process again. At PsychPhilly our life journeys inform our work as wellness care providers. We hope that you will allow us the chance to "get it" as part of supporting your health and well-being.
Many of my patients are people with multicultural/multiracial families and relationships, immigrants or the adult children of immigrants, people of Asian descent, graduate students, clinicians, or people who still feel empty and unsatisfied after achieving conventional hallmarks of success. Many have experienced shifts in class and/or religious identity who are looking to more deeply understand how their experience of depression, anxiety, or trauma is tied to these transgenerational and cross-cultural forces. With empathy and care, I will partner with you to explore your life, history, culture(s), and the wider world to see how these shape your inner experiences and relationships. In addition to feeling better, my hope is to help you to discover and create new ways of being in the world that feel more alive, flexible, authentic, resilient, and effective. Many people have mixed feelings about starting therapy and finding the right fit is so important for meaningful and long-lasting changes. If this profile has resonated with you in some way, there are no fees or commitments for the initial consultation. If you'd like to meet and learn more, please reach out today or visit my website.

It is highly likely to feel confused at times and unsure of where we see ourselves next. I want to help you become the best version of yourself so that you are better suited for making these decisions and feel comfortable with them! My Supervisor is Bill Coffey, License number: CW014371

I myself am a first generation Jewish American woman. I have experienced some discrimination because of my religious-ethnic heritage and have the experience of being "other." This experience has enabled me to connect with people who experience "other-ness." I think most of us humans experience some form of trauma growing up, whether from hurts experienced in the family or in the larger society. Being able to talk about those hurts enables personal integration and healing. That is what my work as a therapist is about. One of the things I am aware of, for students and many others at this time in history, is the feeling of social isolation. I am offering a group for young adults to experience connected-ness. Look at my website for further information. I look forward to hearing from you.
