Hi there! I am so excited to sit with you and be present as you engage in the therapeutic process. Taking the walk to receive the care you deserve is often the hardest step, so I am excited to be here with you to cheer you through it! In this life, we face a whirlwind of different scenarios that may create ups and downs in our timeline. And even more often, our internal voice may guide us in a way that sets us back. Together, as we establish our therapeutic relationship, I will work with you to empower you and help you explore how to reach your full potential! As a growing counselor, I have been able to gain a breadth of different experiences throughout my education. Hailing from Western Michigan University, I have had experiences working with individuals with developmental disabilities (behavioral) and was fascinated by people’s different stories and how all of our domains in life affect us in so many different ways! As I embarked on the clinical route, I have had experience working in individual and group counseling settings. As a neurodivergent individual myself, I understand what it’s like to feel those struggles inside and outside of ourselves. I aim to create a space for you to have that voice, the tools, and structural pieces to bring to the outside world. In our work, I often explore from a CBT, DBT, ACT, person-centered, and/or humanistic perspective. I also integrate faith-based counseling, spirituality counseling, as well as mindfulness based practices to help navigate the intersection between physical and mental growth. I work with anyone in our space from ages 13-100+, offering both individual and, now, group services (please reach out for more info on group, if interested)! In this space, my biggest goal is to recognize, ensure, and promote your safety and comfort, and collaboratively create a plan tailored to your success and well-being with the right tools for you. I will act as the facilitator to your growth, where you will always be the expert. My clinical interests involve working with neurodivergent individuals (autism, ADHD), life transitions, self-identity, self-esteem, depression, anxiety, anger management, boundary-setting/communication, relationship issues, as well as trauma-focused work. I’m excited to meet with you and look forward to what’s to come!
I have in-person openings if telehealth is not your vibe! Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and your story deserves to be heard at your pace. I provide a person-centered approach that emphasizes collaboration, compassion, and empowerment. My goal is to walk alongside you, helping you move through life’s challenges with resilience, clarity, and hope for the future. I am passionate about working with college students, adults, and couples. Together, we can focus on emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and boundary-setting while creating a safe space for healing and growth. I am in-network with BCBS, Priority Health, Medicaid and more. We also have billing services that handle benefits and claims. We have an "Ability to Pay" sliding scale for all cash pay clients and couples. Please reach out with any questions, we're happy to work with you to keep therapy affordable.
If you are curious, hesitant, or intimidated about seeking therapy, I am here to help. I create a nonjudgemental, safe and confidential space where you can freely express yourself without fear, judgment or criticism. This space is dedicated solely to your well-being, where you can explore your emotions, build your self-esteem and cultivate self-compassion. If you value a creative and holistic approach to therapy, we may integrate art or other expressive techniques like mindfulness. I am passionate about trauma and women's issues. My training and experience allows me to navigate the complex needs of survivors of all ages, including young survivors. One area of particular interest to me is the mind-body-spirit approach. These therapies focus on the body's wisdom in healing trauma and provide a holistic approach to recovery. As part of Wellspring Therapeutic Partners, I regularly consult with our team of therapists, prescribers, and psychologists who specialize in a variety of areas. I can provide seamless referrals for medication management or testing, though we always welcome and encourage you to keep working with your outside provider if helpful.

Therapy is the ultimate form of self care. It can lead to radical self-acceptance, allowing you to manifest the positive goals you have for your life. Seeking therapy traditionally has had barriers, and I know breaking those barriers will create a better, more accessible, revolutionary, and empathic society. My clinical interests include working with LGBTQIA+ issues, depression, anxiety, grief, relationship issues, domestic violence, and times of adjustment and change. I come from person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-focused modalities. I utilize an eclectic approach in our sessions, as each client is different. I believe in a therapeutic relationship that is equal and balanced. Our goals will be mutual and dynamic. You are an expert in your life, and I look forward to working together to create the healthy and positive change you see for yourself.
My passion is helping my patients work through issues plaguing their mental health and balance. Through a collaborative approach, we will work together to explore old patterns and develop new coping skills to help you achieve your goals and realize your potential.
Do you feel lonely, misunderstood, or lost? Are you unable to share what you’re going through without fear, judgment, or shame? You’re not alone and your voice deserves to be heard. It can be hard to open up to a complete stranger about the pain and problems that you’re facing in life. I applaud you for your bravery in taking this first step. You may be going through a tough battle right now, and I believe that you have the strength in you to overcome it. I want to be the helping hand in getting you there. I won’t just hear you, but I wish to truly listen to understand where you’re coming from. Every person is an individual with their own story. I want to hear your story and help you on your path of life. This is a judgment-free zone. I want to build a relationship on trust and confidentiality so you can feel safe and free to bring your authentic self to session. I want to work with you to explore what you want from life and help you figure out how to get there. I want to support you through your journey in rewriting your life’s story so you can become the person you deserve to be. I have experience in working with abuse, trauma, and women’s issues. As a first-generation Pakistani-American Muslim, I offer a unique perspective to the counseling experience if you are looking for someone who shares a similar background to yours. For clients who would like a faith-based approach, I can integrate Islam into the therapy process. If you are from a Muslim or South Asian background but do not want a faith-based approach, I will provide a non-judgmental, understanding place that is both culturally sensitive and welcoming. If you are of a different faith or background, your worldview is what therapy will be focused on, not mine. How therapy goes is up to you. The therapeutic process is about you and your growth. If I meet what you’re looking for, feel free to call or email me and we can start working on your journey together.

While striving to create a safe space for clients to be their truest selves, I aim to be a source of advocacy and support for clients as they embark on their therapeutic journeys. Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, strength-based, person-centered, and solution focused therapy approaches, I engage with clients with the intent to facilitate growth and achievement of their identified goals.
Between balancing work, school pressures, relationships and the 24 hour news cycle, it is natural to feel anxious and overwhelmed. As your therapist, I strive to walk alongside you and build upon your pre-existing skills to empower you to feel confident enough to manage future life stressors on your own and learning to identify what things truly deserve your energy. My approach takes on a trauma-informed lens with compassion-focused interventions. I often like to consider how various systems in the US have impacted our ability to thrive and what we can do to cope with them. I enjoy working with teens and young-adults wanting to address symptoms of anxiety, depression, life transitions and impacts of trauma. I reference research-based psychotherapy while also weaving in humor and candidness into each session. I believe that acting with humility is an essential component of the therapeutic process. If we can't be our authentic selves, we are limiting our potential for success.
I am dedicated to helping my clients become the best version of themselves by using a strength-based approach. My approach can best be described as person-centered, using a non-authoritative style that allows you to take more of the lead in the discussions so that, in the process, you will discover your solutions
Morgan Hill Institute proudly offers support to both individuals needing counseling support. We specialize in academic and student-related issues, including but not limited to: *adjustment to college *career development/choices (picking a major) *academic stress (studying, exams, classroom behavior, college expectations) *social anxiety *young adult independence (first time away from home, taking care of yourself, learning life skills) *academic performance (grades, exams, etc.)
After starting a career in higher education, I realized that I wanted more opportunities to spend time with students 1:1 and support them through all of the life changes that occur throughout college: deciding on a major, finding new friends, separating from family, changing majors, figuring out how to adult, starting a career, excelling in classes that only become more rigorous, and maybe changing majors again. All of this in addition to finding time for yourself becomes quite difficult! As a psychotherapist, I work with students experiencing depression and anxiety as they navigate the challenges and stressors that come with being in college. Many have also had difficult or traumatic experiences while growing up, and are ready to figure out how to talk about them. Through weekly appointments, we'll build a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, and quickly develop an understanding of your goals for therapy. For some, this will mean our work together is brief. For others, we'll settle into a long-term working relationship that will see you through the ups and downs over the next few years. I primarily use a psychodynamic approach in therapy, which means we'll explore your inner thoughts and feelings to understand how they affect your behaviors and relationships. I find that this approach helps you gain a deeper understanding of yourself, including how you might get in your own way from time to time and what you might want to do differently. Always, the goal is to support you as you (re)discover your strengths and learn to accept yourself as human, making both life and college a little easier to navigate moving forward. Please note: I'm licensed to see individuals in Florida, Illinois, and Michigan.
