Collaborative Health Center is a group practice with 17 clinicians with diverse backgrounds, specialties, training, and interests. We believe in offering an environment that most effectively nurtures growth and healing in our clients. We treat children, adolescents, families, and adults. While our practitioners' trainings are generalized, we have specialties in the areas of anxiety, depression, adolescents, marriage and family therapy, substance abuse, and eating disorders. Some clients come to us knowing exactly what they want to work on, others come only with a general sense that they would like things (job, relationships, mood, etc.) to be better, and many somewhere in between. I have a strong desire to help others feel understood, to confront both joy and pain, and to support others in not only surviving, but reviving and thriving through this one wild and precious life. I have been told I specialize in “you go girl therapy”, and I tend to agree. I want to provide you with support, empathy, a shoulder to cry on, and to join you in celebration dances as you work to meet your goals. Can’t wait to work with you, Mama! Navigating my own path through the great adventure of motherhood has been the greatest and most challenging journey of my life. I understand the pull that mothers feel in so many different directions, and the guilt, pressure, and overwhelming joy that comes with it. Before beginning my journey to becoming a licensed clinician, I worked in career services assisting students and adults in discovering their career paths and meeting their goals. Like many moms, kiddos sparked a change in my own career path. Now, I am able to work with clients moving through their own career transitions, defining success, exploring the tax of motherhood in the corporate world, the anxiety and/or depression around work and work-life, and the unique challenges that come with being both a unique individual and a kick-ass mom. My experience counseling moms, dads, expecting parents, couples, and those in the ecosystem of family, such as grandparents and caregivers, has solidified my personal belief that there is no one way to be a great caregiver. Let’s find what works for you, brings you joy, and helps you to realize your full potential during this wonderful, wearing, and wild moment in time.

For most people, there comes a time when life’s stressors become too great for the individual to manage on their own. Unhealthy thought patterns and coping behaviors can add to this stress and even isolate the person from their usual support system. Those that seek assistance through therapy may find that they are able to learn new ways of coping with stress. Or, they may learn to view situations through a different perspective. The intervention or change for each person varies based on that individual’s needs. I look forward to building a partnership with my clients to meet each individual’s specific goals and desired outcomes. In order for a therapist and client to make significant change, a strong therapeutic relationship is essential. I aim to provide a respectful, safe, and supportive environment where the client and therapist are free to be honest. By building this trustful partnership, we are able to identify and address the individual’s specific goals and needs. I believe clients are the experts on their own lives, and so I meet them right where they are at in their healing journey. From there, we’ll work together to determine a plan that effectively addresses their unique needs. I believe in the importance of tailoring therapeutic interventions to each specific client to maximize positive outcomes.

Ready to rediscover your happiness - or redefine it? Let's evolve stale relationships; generate meaningful experiences at work; introduce more peace at home. Wherever you are struggling, I help you create a new lense through which you will gain insight into your thought patterns and behaviors and ultimately feel better. I earned my Master's degree in both clinical and school counseling, and a Master's degree in secondary education. I taught for 11 years, incorporating much adolescent, group, and family counseling during that time. I have expanded to counseling individuals and couples, including families. Learning what makes you unique - what lights up your eyes and brings you joy - and helping you become the best version of yourself in ALL areas of your life is one of my greatest passions. My passion is also my reality as an empathic, solutions-focused counselor and experienced teacher. Insight. Growth. Harmony. Healing. Strength. Are you ready?

I consider the relationship between client and therapist one of the most important factors in therapy. As a therapist, my goal is to create a comfortable, non-judgmental space so I can assist others in exploring negative patterns in their lives and help them develop new tools to foster positive coping skills. I utilize a holistic approach to therapy, with special focus on the body and mind and how they interact. As a registered yoga teacher, my treatment approach places emphasis on turning inward and reconnecting with the body to help release stored emotions. I use a trauma-informed approach to life issues with clients and incorporate mindfulness skills, somatic movement, and breathwork into my therapy practice. I specialize in treating anxiety disorders, PTSD, and mood disorders. Additionally, I work with clients who are experiencing grief and loss, life transitions, addiction, caregiver stress, interpersonal/relationship problems, and codependency.

My philosophy is that curiosity is what life is about. I am constantly curious about life and about my clients. I strive to learn as much as I can so I can work together with clients to help them better their lives and reach their goals. I try to pull from many therapeutic models, using what works best for the client. I truly believe that with open eyes and a kind heart, I can meet the client where they are and help bring them to where they want to be. I truly believe that I didn’t choose this path; it chose me. I knew I wanted to go into the mental health field since I was a senior in high school, but I just didn’t know to what capacity. I was always very curious about the inner workings of relationships. I love that I am welcomed into people’s lives and given the opportunity to see them at both their most vulnerable and most resilient. Being a part of someone’s growth is one of the most amazing parts of my job.

Have you been feeling overwhelmed with things in your life? Have you been feeling like your coping skills aren't working any longer? Have you been drinking alcohol or using drugs to make it through the day? If you said yes to any of these questions, then you are the closest you have ever been to changing your life. Being able to recognize that things aren't how you want them to be takes a lot of strength, courage and insight. Often suffering happens in silence. That is why I believe the way to get control of your life back is by sharing openly, and honestly about your experience without judgment Due to my own personal and professional experiences, I have extensive training and experience working with people experiencing life changes, trauma, substance use, addiction and ADHD. My style of therapy is supportive, yet at the same time I am willing to challenge you and kindly call you out. I try to keep it real with the people I work with. Everyone deserves to feel valued, recognized, and heard, including YOU. I truly believe reaching out for help is the strongest, and most courageous action someone can do. If you are looking for someone who is going to actively help you find ways to improve your situation, then reach out to me. I can't promise that puns and dad jokes wont be used as well!
