Therapists for college students near Northeastern University
Hi! I am excited to meet you and help you along your journey of sustained mental health! I offer a non-judgmental and collaborative approach to care. I offer medication management and brief therapy.
Hello! My name is Laci. I am a compassionate, dedicated, analytical, and team oriented therapist with a lifelong passion towards helping and uplifting others. My passion stems from my own childhood and my difficulties with my mental health and self confidence. I believe that everyone is capable of positive change no matter a person’s age, race, sexual orientation, ethnicity, and overall background. It is up to those in the helping professions, like myself, to assist in lighting that spark for change. I have experience providing individual and family therapy to clients ages 5 to 18 years of age. I also have experience working with folks who are unhoused and disabled. In practice, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, and Solution-focused Therapy to serve a wide variety of clients.
I am a clinical social worker with 12 years of experience working with a variety of mental health difficulties. Many of my clients experience anxiety and depression that stems from traumatic life events or difficult family dynamics. I will help you understand your symptoms and where they are stemming from. Once you understand yourself more, healing can occur. I will help you challenge your negative thoughts and build skills to cope with a stressful world.
I have experience helping people overcome obstacles around executive dysfunction (having a hard time keeping or remembering tasks and appointments, turning in assignments in full, and overall managing daily expectations and obligations), adjusting to new life transitions, and managing anxiety and depression symptoms. I use a variety of methods to introduce clients to the sometimes uncomfortable part of therapy and accountability.
I am so glad you are here! If you are experiencing anxiety or depression, substance use challenges, trauma, stress, or sadness then this might be an excellent match for you. A therapeutic experience with us is centered on YOU and what makes you comfortable to grow. Since 2018, we have been helping people find solutions and resources to support their many strengths. Together we can explore multiple approaches to therapy so that treatment can be individually tailored to your comfort and needs. Some of our favorite methods include Solution Focused work, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Gestalt practices, and mindfulness. We have providers specialty trained in Trauma, Substance Use, and Co-Occurring Disorders as well as disordered eating. We hope that you will take a chance on CHANGE and reach out. Together we will do hard things.
Have you ever felt like you’re doing everything you’re “supposed” to do, but still feel overwhelmed, lost, or unsure of where you fit? Maybe you’re trying to balance classes, work, relationships, family expectations, and your own goals while quietly wondering, “Am I the only one struggling with this?” I work with young adults, including first generation students of diverse backgrounds, who are navigating big transitions and trying to figure out who they are while building the life they want. This may look like feeling stuck, dealing with academic or career stress, struggling with anxiety or burnout, feeling pressure to succeed, or trying to find your place in a new environment. As a bilingual therapist and someone who is first-generation, I understand the challenges of finding yourself while balancing family expectations, culture, and your own goals. Therapy can be a space to explore your identity, build confidence, and create a life that feels authentic to you. Whether you are struggling with stress, perfectionism, relationships, grief, major life changes, or simply feeling like you’re not where you want to be, I provide a supportive space where you can feel understood and develop tools to move forward. You don’t have to have everything figured out to start therapy. Sometimes reaching out is the first step toward understanding yourself better and creating meaningful change.

Our therapists take a warm, relational approach to therapy. We believe that feeling understood, comfortable, and genuinely connected with your therapist is an important part of creating meaningful and lasting change. **We are currently welcoming new clients with Dr. Samantha Jackson, our postdoctoral fellow at Insights.** Dr. Jackson provides a warm, thoughtful, and collaborative space for clients who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply wanting to understand themselves more deeply. She especially enjoys working with college and graduate students, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, identity concerns, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, perfectionism, burnout, and major life transitions. Dr. Jackson takes a relational and psychodynamically informed approach, helping clients explore not only what they are experiencing, but also the patterns, relationships, and experiences that may be contributing to how they feel today. Her goal is to create a space where clients can feel genuinely heard and comfortable being themselves while working toward meaningful change. More broadly, our clinicians at Insights frequently work with anxiety, depression or low mood, ADHD, perfectionism, burnout, stress, panic, OCD tendencies, low self-esteem, relationship concerns, family-of-origin issues, trauma, and major life transitions. It can be a space to slow down, better understand yourself and your patterns, work through what's getting in the way, and develop healthier ways of navigating your relationships and your life. **Dr. Jackson currently has immediate telehealth openings for new clients.** We offer a **free 20-minute consultation** so you can meet with us, ask questions, and see whether Dr. Jackson—or another therapist at Insights—feels like the right fit.
